Abstract: An integral metal structural post is provided for the erection of two pairs of interior walls. Each such pair of walls includes interior walls which are disposed at right angles to one another. The structural post includes a first elongate metal angle bar having an "L"-shaped cross-section, the two arms having a particularly recited structure, a second identical elongate metal angle bar, arranged in mirror-image relationship to the first elongate metal angle bar, and an elongate web interconnecting the two elongate metal angle bars in a particular manner. Because of the particulary recited structures of the arms of the elongate metal angle bars, an interior wallboard or interior sheathing is secured directly to respective ones of the four interior faces of the two elongate metal angle bars. When such securing is effected, two interior comers are created.

Abstract: A fiber optic cellular reflector is provided, including a honeycomb cell structure having a plurality of connected cells with reflective walls for reflecting light. One or more fiber optic strands is mounted within each of the cells, and there is a source of light for supplying light to the fiber optic strands in the cells. In addition, a control device adjusts the depth of insertion of the fiber optic strands in the cells for controlling the pattern of light reflected from the reflective walls of the cells.

Abstract: A counterfeit detection viewer apparatus for detecting security markings in paper currency, which includes a housing having a detection opening on the bottom thereof for receiving the paper currency to be inspected and a viewing opening on the top thereof for inspecting the paper currency. A UV light fixture is mounted in the housing and has a UV fluorescent lamp for projecting UV light rays toward the detection opening and the paper currency to be inspected. The UV light fixture includes a reflector to reflect the UV light rays toward the detection opening and the paper currency, and a switch for activating the UV fluorescent lamp prior to inspecting the paper currency through the viewing opening.

Abstract: A collapsible umbrella with a self-opening mechanism is provided. The collapsible umbrella includes a stretchable multi-segment shaft having a top end and a bottom end; an upper fixed hub mounted axially on the top end of the shaft, the upper fixed hub being formed with a plurality of alignment slots and a threaded hole, the threaded hole allowing a finishing cap of either an inner-threaded type or an outer-threaded type to be mounted thereon; a running hub slidably mounted on the shaft; a collapsible frame of a plurality of ribs including a set of upper ribs, a set of inner branch ribs, a set of middle branch ribs, a set of linkage ribs, and a set of outer branch ribs, wherein each of the middle branch ribs is formed with a substantially U-shaped cross section to form a slot and integrally formed with a retaining piece; a fabric held on the collapsible frame; and elastic means which allows the collapsed umbrella to be thereafter expanded in a self-opening manner.

Abstract: A template for laying a plurality of bricks including a substantially planar and rigid sheet having a plurality of support pins projecting therefrom at a 90.degree. angle in a predetermined pattern for supporting a plurality of bricks. This pattern includes a first plurality of support pins being disposed along a first horizontal line at predetermined spaces corresponding to the length of a brick, and a second plurality of support pins being disposed along a second horizontal line at predetermined spaces corresponding to the length of a brick. The first horizontal line of support pins is parallel to the second horizontal line of support pins, and the first horizontal line is spaced from the second horizontal line by more than the height of a brick. In addition, the support pins in the first horizontal line are offset from the support pins in the second horizontal line.

Abstract: A hair gel composition having glitter contained therein comprising a surface active hair treatment system for moisturizing, conditioning, and lubricating the hair and scalp, and for holding stylized hair in place, in the range of 7.5% to 10.0% by weight of the hair gel composition; at least one pH adjuster being in the range of 0.5% to 2.0% by weight of the hair gel composition; a preservative system for preserving the hair gel composition against microbial contamination being in the range of 0.40% to 2.4% by weight of the hair gel composition; at least one anti-oxidant and light stabilizer for preventing oxidation of the hair gel composition being in the range of 0.02% to 0.3% by weight of the hair gel composition; a diluent in the form of water in the range of 80.0% to 95.0% by weight of the hair gel composition; and suspended particulate matter for aesthetic ornamentation of the hair being in the range of 2.0% to 5.0% by weight of the hair gel composition.

Abstract: The present invention provides an auxiliary catalytic converter having a back pressure relief device being disposed after the main catalytic converter or after the muffler system which further reduces vehicle exhaust emissions from exhaust emission systems and that will meet the more stringent emission requirements of state and federal government regulations. The auxiliary catalytic converter includes a ceramic or steel housing of relatively small size, having a diameter in the range of 1 inch to 8 inches and a length of 4 inches to 11 inches. The housing includes a matrix core of catalytic layered materials which react with the gaseous exhaust emission pollutants, such as NO.sub.x, NHMC, HC, and CO. These pollutants are further reduced and oxidized by the auxiliary catalytic converter using typical catalytic materials of platinum, palladium, rhodium, or the like contained within the honeycombed or meshed layers of the matrix core.

Abstract: A catalytic converter for a tailpipe which further reduces vehicle exhaust emissions from exhaust emission systems and that will meet the more stringent emission requirements of state and federal government regulations. The tailpipe catalytic converter includes a ceramic or steel housing which includes a matrix core of catalytic layered materials which react with the exhaust emission pollutants, such as NO.sub.x, NMHC, HC, and CO. These pollutants are further reduced and oxidized by the catalytic converter in the tailpipe by the typical catalytic materials of platinum, palladium, rhodium, or the like contained within the honeycombed or meshed layers of the matrix core. The catalytic converter is lodged within the interior of the tailpipe adjacent the open end or as an extension to the end of the tailpipe. The tailpipe catalytic converter is held in place by any suitable device, such as a clamp, mounting screws, or mounting brackets.

Abstract: A foldable crab trap for catching crabs which includes a central hinge member, a central frame member connected to the central hinge member, and a pair of outer frame members each having crab nets. The outer frame members are movable relative to the central hinge member between an open position wherein the outer frame members are in the same plane for receiving crabs, and a closed position wherein the outer frame member are parallel to each other for trapping crabs. A tension line is connected to the outer ends of the outer frame members and to the outer end of the central frame member for moving the outer frame members to the closed position. The tension line has a free end adapted to be held under tension by the crab catcher for signalling the crab catcher when a crab is present in the crab trap.

Abstract: An anti-icing composition having anti-corrosion and anti-spalling properties including an anti-icing chemical selected from the group consisting of calcium chloride, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, urea, calcium magnesium acetate, calcium acetate, magnesium acetate, potassium acetate, sodium formate and combinations thereof, the anti-icing chemicals being at least 5% by weight of said anti-icing composition; an anti-corrosion compound being 2 butyne-1,4 diol in the range of trace amounts up to 5% by weight of the anti-icing composition; a water-soluble anti-spalling compound in the range of trace amounts up to 10% by weight of the anti-icing composition; and a diluent chemical, such as water, in the range of 10% to 80% by weight of said anti-icing composition.

Abstract: A self-contained, electronic message-emitting device in the form of a talking business card for providing a recorded message. The talking business card includes a card holding member having a base member and opposite side wall members thereon which form a first receiving channel on one side and a second receiving channel on the opposite side for slidably receiving therein the opposite sides of the business card. The base member includes a compartment for receiving an electronic message emitting assembly. The electronic message emitting assembly includes an electronic voice microchip for recording a message, a record button to initiate and activate the voice microchip to record a given message and/or sound, a play back button to play back the given message and/or sound for audio listening by the user, and a power source component for energizing the voice microchip. The business card holding member may be made of plastic or metal.

Abstract: A portable water sprinkler system including a central water column assembly having a lower section, an upper section removably connected to the lower section, and a sprinkler head removably connected to the upper section. The lower section includes an outer tube formed of galvanized steel, an inner tube formed of plastic for supplying water to the upper section, and a hose connector at the lower end for receiving a hose for supplying water to the inner tube. The upper section is formed of plastic and is removably connected to the inner tube of the lower section. The outer tube of the lower section includes three connection flanges formed of galvanized steel extending outwardly from the outer tube. The portable water sprinkler system further includes first, second, and third leg members formed of galvanized steel being pivotally connected at their upper ends to the three connection flanges on the outer tube, respectively.

Abstract: A deicing and anti-icing composition for aircraft surfaces including a base compound being propylene glycol and/or ethylene glycol in the range of 35.0% to 80.0% by weight of the deicing and anti-icing composition. A diluent is included in the form of water for use as a carrier fluid for the glycol. A first molecular weight non-ionic surfactant agent is included having an HLB in the range of 4 to 17, and a second molecular weight non-ionic surfactant agent is included having an HLB in the range of 5 to 18. The second non-ionic surfactant agent has an HLB at least two (2) units higher than the first non-ionic surfactant agent. An emulsifier is included in the form of a polycarboxylate compound being in the range of 1 ppm to 0.5% by weight of the deicing and anti-icing composition. A pH control agent maintains the pH of the deicing and anti-icing composition between a 6 and 10 value.
