Abstract: An exercise device, including a belt assembly to be worn around the torso of the user having first and second layers formed of nylon or polypropylene. The belt assembly further includes a plurality of attachment rings connected to the belt assembly and hook and loop fastening strips for removably attaching the belt assembly to the torso of the user. The device further includes a pair of hand assemblies each including finger holes for receiving the fingers of the user, a hand strap for removably attaching each hand assembly to a hand of the user, and an elastic hand resistance member having attachment clips thereon for detachably connecting the hand assembly to one of the attachment rings on the belt assembly.

Abstract: An anti-snoring device including a moldable dental overlay for covering the lower teeth of the user and for maintaining the tongue in contact with the palate to prevent air flow from causing the palate to reverberate during mouth breathing; an extension member fixedly connected to the front of said dental overlay; a moldable oral shield worn outside the mouth and being conformable to the user's upper lip for preventing the lower jaw from drifting inferiorly and posteriorly during sleep; and a connecting member being slidably connected to the oral shield, and having an opening for slidably receiving said extension member. The anti-snoring device may be made of thermoplastic or elastomeric resin materials for moldability to the user's mouth.

Abstract: A toy building block set, that includes a plurality of building blocks each having a plurality of sides for interconnection with the sides of other building blocks; and at least one side of each building block having a semicircular-shaped channel formed therein for alignment with the semicircular-shaped channel of another building block to form a circular channel. In addition, there is a plurality of cylindrical rod-like members each for placement in one of the circular channels of the aligned building blocks and for extending from the aligned building blocks to support other building blocks in the toy building block set.

Abstract: A box carrier for carrying a plurality of formed and stacked boxes, the boxes having side walls and covers, including a handle assembly having a handle member, a pair of pivotally mounted horizontal members, a pair of pivot members and a cross bar for lifting and carrying, and for opening and closing the box carrier on a plurality of formed and stacked boxes. Each of the horizontal members is connected at one end to the handle member and at the other end is connected to one of the pivot members, and the pivot members are connected to the cross bar. The box carrier further includes a pair of vertical arm members connected at their upper ends to the pivot members for moving the vertical arms to an outward position or an inward position. In addition, the box carrier also includes a pair of horizontal carry arm members, such that the vertical arms members at their lower ends are connected to the pair of horizontal carry arm members for holding the side walls of a box.

Abstract: An eyeglass protector for protecting the eyeglasses worn by a wearer which includes one-piece flexible band member made of a durable plastic having a center section and two temple sections. The lower surface of the band member rests on the upper surface of the eyeglass frame. A bendable, transparent plastic visor shield for covering both lenses of a pair of eyeglasses is detachably connected to the center section of the band member by a plurality of connecting pin members and a plurality of pin covers. The band member also includes a pair of bracing elements for retaining the band member in a curved configuration.

Abstract: A splining apparatus for seating an elongated flexible spline in the screen retaining channel of a screen frame to secure flexible screen material thereto, including a work support assembly for receiving and holding the screen frame, and a carriage assembly for longitudinal movement between a first position and a second position. The splining apparatus further includes a screen roll feed holder assembly for supplying screen material located at the first position; and a spline roll holder for supplying spline material located at the second position. The carriage assembly supports a spline head assembly for supplying the spline to the screen frame as the carriage assembly moves from the second position to the first position. The spline head assembly includes a spline wheel sub-assembly for inserting and seating the spline into the screen retaining channel as the carriage assembly and the spline head assembly move from the first position to the second position.

Abstract: A hair perm rod for permming hair including a cylindrical hollow rod having a center section with a knurled surface, and having an integrally attached end wall with a perimeter wall edge at one end of the hollow rod; and a detachable end cap with a perimeter wall edge at the other end of the hollow rod. The hair perm rod further includes a plurality of ventilation and liquid holes formed within the center section of the hollow rod; and a plurality of hair gripper teeth formed on knurled surface of the hollow rod. In addition, the hair perm rod also includes an elastic band having a first and a second end for connecting to the end wall and end cap, respectively. The end wall includes a first plurality of notches extending in a radial direction and a center hole formed therein for receiving the first end of the elastic band. The end cap includes a second plurality of notches extending in a radial direction and a center hole formed therein for receiving the second end of the elastic band.

Abstract: An electrolyzer, including a lower electrolyte chamber for receiving liquid electrolyte flux and having disposed therein anode and cathode electrodes for producing anodic and cathodic gases. A first barrier is disposed in the lower electrolyte chamber between the anode and cathode electrodes having a plurality of V-shaped passageways for allowing the passage of electrons but for preventing the recombination of anodic and cathodic gases. The electrolyzer also includes an upper gas chamber having an anodic gas compartment and a cathodic gas compartment for receiving therein the anodic and cathodic gases produced in the lower electrolyte chamber. The upper gas chamber includes a second barrier disposed between the anodic and cathodic gas compartments having no passageways in order to prevent the recombination of anodic and cathodic gases. The second barrier is connected to the first barrier.

Abstract: A male x-ray radiation protector for protection of the male reproductive system against x-ray radiation, including a curved, pear-shaped penial shield for covering the glans penis, and having either a waist or thigh straps attached to the upper section of the penial shield for supporting the x-ray radiation protector on the wearer's torso. The male x-ray radiation protector further includes a flexible, T-shaped testes shield for covering the male testes area, and having thigh straps attached thereto for supporting the testes shield on the wearer's torso. The testes shield is removably attached to the lower section of the penial shield for use separately or together.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a shoe having an outersole with a removable protective covering, including the steps of applying a sheet of protective covering to a sheet of outersole material with adhesive to form a composite sheet; applying printed indicia on the protective covering at predetermined locations; stamping out the composite sheet to form a plurality of outersoles, each having the protective covering and the printed indicia to form finished outersoles; and attaching each of the finished outersoles to a shoe upper to form a shoe so that the protective covering is removable.

Abstract: A composite structural post is provided for two interior walls of a building. Such post includes a rectangular wooden stud having four faces. At least one elongate metal angle bar is secured to the rectangular wooden stud by means of an exterior face of a first arm of the elongate metal angle bar being secured to a first face of the rectangular wooden stud at a first corner second arm of the elongate metal angle bar projects from the rectangular wooden stud at that first corner, and is adjacent to a second face of the rectangular wooden stud at that first corner. The interior faces of each of the first arm and the second arm of the elongate metal angle bar are provided with specificallly recited means to enable securing a first interior wallboard and also a second interior wallboard or interior sheathing by means of self tapping screws. The second interior wallboard or interior sheathing is disposed at right angles to the first interior wallboard or interior sheathing.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for generating electrical power from multiple vehicles powered by fuel cells while the vehicles are parked in a parking lot. A plurality of spaced-apart electrical receptacles are provided for receiving an electric cable for connection to a parked vehicle for electrically connecting the fuel cell in each of the parked vehicles to the plurality of electrical receptacles. An electric power grid is electrically connected to the plurality of electrical receptacles for transferring D.C. electrical power from the fuel cells in the parked vehicles to the electric power grid. At least one electric power collection station is electrically connected to the electric power grid for collecting at a common point the D.C. electric power in the electric power grid. In addition, at least one inverter is electrically connected to the electric power collection station for converting the D.C. electric power to A.C. electric power. Apparatus is provided for supplying the A.C.

Abstract: A single charge continuous rotary retort furnace for heat treating machine parts in a sealed atmosphere, including a rotary retort furnace housing having an inlet and outlet end with a feeder assembly at the inlet end that has a plurality of chambers for supplying the machine parts to the rotary retort furnace housing to be heat treated. In addition, the rotary retort furnace includes a locking collar assembly for connecting the feeder assembly to the inlet end of the rotary retort furnace housing having locking tabs for locking the feeder assembly to the locking collar assembly; pistons and cylinders for rotating the locking collar assembly relative to the feeder assembly; and a device for sealing the feeder assembly relative to the locking collar assembly to create an atmospheric seal in the retort furnace housing for enabling the machine parts to be heat treated.

Abstract: A nasal breathing device for insertion into the nasal passageways of humans for providing enhanced breathing of air through the user's nose. The nasal passageways each include a nasal septum wall, an opposite inner wall, and an inner lower wall. The nasal device is formed and shaped from a single strand of wire into a bridge member and a pair of nasal engaging assemblies. The bridge member has a horizontal member with first and second ends; first and second vertical arms integrally attached to the first and second ends of the horizontal member; and the bridge member is used for engaging the bridge of the nose to prevent the nasal device from moving upwardly into the nasal passageways.

Abstract: A videophone interactive mailbox facility system for processing of information to conduct a transaction which includes a user station, a vendor station, and a central data center. The user station has a videophone for viewing information sent or received to conduct a transaction; an encryption encoder and a decryption decoder for safeguarding the information sent or received; and a touch pad for inputting the information into the videophone. The vendor station has a computer for the transmission and receipt of vendor-type information to or from the central data center for conducting a transaction; and an encryption encoder and a decryption decoder for message privacy and transaction authentication of the information sent or received. The central data center is electronically connected to the user station and to the vendor station and includes a computer processor for centralized transmitting, receipt of and storage of all information and transactions with the user station and the vendor station.

Abstract: A collapsible and portable page holder device for holding the pages of a book, including a back support member for supporting a book thereon having a hinge about which two equally sized sections are foldable, a channel opening formed in each of the back support sections of the back support member, and an adjustable holding clip having upper and lower clip members mounted within the channel opening in each of the back support sections. The adjustable holding clip has means for biasing the clips to a closed gripping position for gripping and holding the pages of a book. Each adjustable holding clip has a guide member having a guide shaft attached to each of the lower clip members for slidably moving each holding clip within each of the channel openings and relative to the back support member to adjust the spacing of the holding clips for receiving different size books.
