Abstract: The method is for monitoring a childbirth process of a pregnant woman. In a measuring step, a lactate concentration of vaginal fluids is measured. In a comparison step, it is determined if the measured lactate concentration is greater than a predetermined lactate concentration that indicates that amniotic fluid has passed from an amnion of the pregnant woman. In a measuring step, the lactate concentration is measured. In a comparison step, it is determined if the measured lactate concentration is greater than a lactate threshold interval. When the lactate concentration is less than the lactate threshold interval the pregnant woman is stimulated in a stimulating step to give birth.

Abstract: The continuous digester is for producing chemical pulp to a process for operating this digester and to a feedback system for the cooking liquid. By means of implementing cooking zones 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th down through the digester, that have a successively decreasing liquid-to-wood ratio, it is possible to obtain a more uniform alkali profile during the cooking. The alkali is kept high at the beginning by means of a high liquid-to-wood ratio, typically over 6:1, which exceeds conventional liquid-to-wood ratios, which are normally around 3.5-5.0:1.
Abstract: The method is for sending information through a node and includes providing a node that has a first access port, a second access port, a first uplink and a second uplink. A first packet is sent via the first access port to the node. When the node is in a leaf mode, the node creates a tag inside the first packet. The tag contains a first port number corresponding to the first access port. When the node is in a branch node, the node adds the first port number to the tag and sends the packet in the first uplink and the second uplink. A second packet, received via the second access port, is sent via the first uplink of the node. The node receives the second packet. The node removes a second port number that corresponds to the second access port from the tag. The node sends the second packet via the second access port to another node or customer lower down in the node tree.
Abstract: The invention concerns a simplified method for the continuous cooking of wood raw material in the form of sawdust for the production of cellulose pulp, The method does not require any thickening stages and can be carried out with a minimum of process equipment. The complete process can be established with a steaming vessel, a cooking vessel and a subsequent pressure diffuser while the sawdust is mixed with the cooking fluid to form a slurry. The slurry has a consistency that throughout the process does not exceed 20%. The maximum consistency is preferably held at a maximum consistency of about 15-17%.
Abstract: The method of the invention for automatic selection of configuration profile to a mobile phone. One or more configuration profiles are predefined in the mobile phone and one configuration profile is defined in a card inserted in the mobile phone. The method has the steps of switching on the mobile phone, comparing the configuration profile of the card with the configuration profile information in the mobile phone, and selecting a configuration profile to the mobile phone as a consequence of the comparison.
Abstract: The roaming of mobile equipment between a home network and foreign network is managed. The roaming behavior is based on the contents of control files saved in the mobile equipment of the subscribers. A list of networks to be used in a priority order in a roaming situation is defined in the control files. The management application checks the current roaming setting for the mobile equipment and the desired roaming behavior for the location that the mobile equipment roamed into. As a result of the comparison, the management application adjusts the roaming setting to be in accordance with the desired roaming behavior.
Abstract: The method is for the manufacture of cooked cellulose pulp in which the starting material, preferably chips, undergoes a successive increase in temperature towards cooking temperature. This is done while the chips are first treated in a pre-treatment zone in which the main part, greater than 50%, of fresh white liquor necessary for the cooking stage is added, after which this alkali-rich treatment fluid is withdrawn and replaced to a major extent by black liquor. The alkali-rich treatment fluid that has been withdrawn after the pre-treatment stage is then added to the cooking stage, which is why the addition of fresh white liquor to the cooking stage is reduced to an equivalent amount. Maximal yield-enhancing effect is obtained using poly-sulphide-rich white liquor during the pre-treatment at a temperature in the interval 60±40° C. and retention time in the interval 2-60 minutes, preferably 2-10 minutes.
Abstract: The method is for production of green liquor in association with a causticizing process during recovery of chemicals in manufacture of sulphate pulp. A smelt (14) of chemicals principally consisting of Na2S and Na2CO3 from a soda boiler (1) is provided. Weak liquor (15) that contains dissolved NaOH and CaO is provided. A dissolving tank (2) is provided in which the smelt (14) from the soda boiler (1) is dissolved in the weak liquor (15) it order to form green liquor (16). A solution of NaOH is added to the weak liquor (15), at a position before the weak liquor (15) is added to the dissolving tank, in order to increase the concentration of NaOH in the weak liquor (15) such that a fraction of CaO that is presently dissolved in the weak liquor (15) precipitates.

Abstract: The method is for treating a liquid or slurry with an ultrasonic energy. A first rotatable member being permeable to a medium and a first vibrating device are provided. The first vibrating device and the first member have a first gap formed therebetween so that the first gap represents a first distance. A guide member aligned with the first member exerts a pressure on the medium. The guide member breaks up fiber flocculation close to the upper surface of the medium. The medium is fed between the first member and the guide member. The first vibrating device generates pulses through the first member to form imploding bubbles in the medium. The bubbles have a critical diameter prior to implosion that is greater than the first distance to prevent the bubbles from growing in the first gap to a size greater than the first distance.

The traffic flow in the channel is measured to calculate a measured bandwidth value (B1). The allocated bandwidth value (b1) is dynamically adjusted to the measured bandwidth value (B1) so adjust the bandwidth (b1) to the actual bandwidth used.
Abstract: An arrangement for reducing vibrations in a tool holder (4) with a cutting tool (3) and has a vibration sensor on the tool holder (4) that is connected to a guide unit (11). The tool holder (4) has further two piezo-electric actuators 14 and 15. Under the influence of the vibration sensor (9), the guide unit (11) provides an electric alternating current that is actively guided over time so that the actuators movably affect the tool holder (4) to reduce the vibrations in this. To also be able to dampen transients in the tool holder (4) this is movably connected with a passive dampening arrangement that is independent of the guide unit (11) and that is based on the principle of a springing (8) suspended mass (7). The invention also relates to a method for reducing vibrations. The vibrations in the tool holder are sensed and a corresponding signal is provided to a guide unit that over time provides actively guided signals to the actuators.

Abstract: The invention relates to a feed arrangement for feeding chips to chip bins (1) in the production of cellulose pulp in continuous digesters (16), in which the chip bin is constituted by a treatment vessel having a top and a bottom, in which the chips are fed into the top (13) of the treatment vessel and fed out via the bottom of the treatment vessel using suitable lock members (10, 11). Distribution devices (4a, 4b) for the addition of steam are disposed in the treatment vessel so as to heat the chips to a level above 80° C., preferably around 100° C., when the chips are fed out via the bottom of the treatment vessel. By virtue of the fact that the chips are fed into the treatment vessel via at least one liquid lock (30) and the treatment vessel is otherwise sealed off, the quantity of driven-off gases from the chip bin is reduced to a minimum, at the same time as an effective utilization of available energy is obtained.

Abstract: The process is for continuously cooking chemical pulp in a digester system consisting of at least one vessel for impregnating and cooking comprising an inlet into which a mixture of chips and process liquid is fed. The chips are impregnated at a predetermined impregnation temperature, Timp, and cooked at a predetermined cooking temperature, Tcook, after which dissolved pulp is fed out at the outlet of the digester system. The process liquid which is continually extracted is retained outside the digester system during a dwell time, t, of at least 30 min, without any heating above 140°, and thereafter returned to the digester system to a position which is substantially at the same level as the extraction, or downstream thereof, and thereby constitute part of the process liquid in the subsequent treatment zone. The process results in improved tear strength, beatability, bleachability and reduced color reversion, and increased yield across the digester.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the modification of cellulose fiber with the object of increasing the strength properties of the pulp. Cellulose derivative, preferably in the form of CMC, is added in association with alkali cooking and/or delignification of cellulose chips in a suspension with treatment fluid, in an amount exceeding 2 kg, preferably at least 5–7 kg, per ton of cellulose fibers. The addition of cellulose derivative to the suspension takes place when the suspension has a concentration of calcium released from the cellulose exceeding 20 mg/l. The conditions required for an efficient deposit of cellulose derivative onto the cellulose fibers can be established in this way, where the natural content of calcium in the wood raw material has been released and contributes to a high ionic strength, while an advantageous high temperature is established. No additional process stages are required and operating costs can be kept low.
Abstract: The arrangement is for coupling an implement attachment to a working arm of a working machine. The arm is connected to the implement attachment through the medium of fastener sleeves and fastener pins. The attachment includes two side-plates which each carry two bushings that include holes for accommodating the fastener pins. The bushings have a circular guide portion which fits into a circular hole in respective side-plates. The bushings include a respective flange that is connected to the side-plates by a fastener element. The hole, that receives respective fastener pins, is positioned eccentrically in relation to the guide portion in respect of at least two of the bushings.
