Abstract: In a continuous digester system the digester system is greatly simplified by using a single vertical atmospheric vessel, replacing the conventional chip bin, steaming vessel, chip chute, high pressure pumping or sluice feeders, impregnation vessels and top separator. Chips are simply fed to the top of the atmospheric vessel, and a chip level is established in the vessel. Treatment liquids are added to the vessel such that a total liquid volume (Z1+Z2) with a liquid level (LIQ LEV) is established under the chip level (CH LEV). Impregnation stage and subsequent cooking stages are implemented in the atmospheric vessel at successively increasing temperature and depths into the total liquid volume, thus preventing boiling in the stages and preferably reducing steam blow trough of the chip surface in the top of the vessel.

Abstract: A clip or connector is provided for assembling part of a door or window frame having first and second sheet material frame members to be retained in abutting relationship and in a particular predetermined position relative to each other. Each frame member has a concave channel formation along its length. The clip has a head and a body with a neck therebetween. The head engages with a tight interference or frictional fit within the channel formation of the first frame member and the body engages with a tight interference or frictional fit within the channel of the second frame member, such that the frame members are located and held in their particular predetermined position.

Abstract: The continuous digester system has an inlet defined therein for the feed of a chips suspension and an outlet for the output of a cooked suspension of pulp. The suspension of chips is fed in to the inlet through a line at the beginning of the cook, where the chips suspension has a volume of starting cooking fluid that establishes a fluid/wood ratio that is greater than 3.5. A final cooking fluid is present during the cook for the major part of the cook and is withdrawn through a withdrawal strainer only during the final 15 minutes of the cook. The final cooking fluid ensures a fluid/wood ratio that is greater than 3.5 in association with the withdrawal. The withdrawn final cooking fluid during the final 15 minutes of the cook consists of spent black liquor that maintains a residual alkali level that lies under 15 g/l.

A user visits a website associated with the server d provides a user profile. The user requests a set of songs in a play list. The server receives the requested and requests the songs of the play list from an on-line music library. The server adds commercial messages in connection with the songs. The server streams the songs with the commercial messages embedded therein to the communication device of the user.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus for attachment to an umbrella pole comprising, at least one arm having a first arm section, a second arm section, and a first hinged connection between a first end of said first arm section and a first end of said second arm section, an attachment means having a second hinged connection to a second end of said first arm section and securable to said umbrella pole, a connection means having a third hinged connection to a second end of said second arm section and slideably connected around the umbrella pole, and a lighting means on said at least one arm configured and disposed for illumination underneath said lighting apparatus wherein said hinge means, attachment means and connection means are configured and located to permit the at least one arm to move from an extended position away from the umbrella pole to a closed position substantially parallel to the umbrella pole.

Abstract: A device for preventing sedimentation by regulating the flow of waste water through drain draining-wells, with or without a pump. The device has of a swirl chamber with connected outlet pipe and provided with an air injector. The swirl chamber which is tapered, generates a vortex flow in which the air added by the air injector gives the sludge particles a certain amount of buoyancy, making it easier for them to accompany the water flow without being precipitated.

Abstract: The sensor device has a housing. The housing is made of a material having a first high heat-conductivity index. A holder is attached to the housing and made of a material with a second low heat-conductivity index that is substantially lower than the first high heat conductivity index. The holder holds a peltier element and is connected to a power source so that the element has a cooled layer and a heated layer. A rotatable roller is in operative engagement with the layer so that the layer cools the roller. The roller may be rolled on the skin of the patient to determine the scope and effect of anesthetic treatment.

Abstract: The system allow users of cell phones the use of their cell phone account via a cash card, purchase card or credit card to effect transactions at existing terminals that are connected to card handling companies. Each respective card refers to the SIM-card in the cell phone. This SIM-card is the base for a specific account with the cell phone system operator, which in turn is connected on-line with card handling companies having terminals distributed for card transactions.

Abstract: A device, such as a heat meter for measurements of hot tap water energy usage, separated from building heating energy usage, in a district heating substation. The device is connected only to sensors attached to the supply pipe and return pipe of the district heating substation. A device, such as a heat meter, has a detector to detect a deviation in the total power (P) usage in the district heating substation which deviation depends on the use of warm tap water.

The boat storage container unit has a support unit and a container sized and shaped to store fishing tackle, tools and the like and adapted to slide onto the support unit. Abstract: The method and arrangement is for the feed of a chips suspension from one vessel to a subsequent digester in a continuous cooking process for the production of chemical cellulose pulp. The vessel has an inlet defined therein for the input of chips and an outlet defined therein for the output of a chips suspension. The chips suspension in the vessel has a first fluid/wood ratio established above a second fluid/wood ratio that is established at the bottom of the vessel. The second fluid/wood ratio is at least as great as, preferably greater than, the first fluid/wood ratio. After the output of the chips suspension from the vessel and before the chips suspension is placed under pressure for onwards transport to a subsequent digester, a fraction of fluid is withdrawn from the chips suspension, whereby a third fluid/wood ratio is established in the chips suspension.

Abstract: The method and an arrangement are for dewatering and washing lime slurry before the dewatered lime mud is passed to a lime mud kiln. The lime slurry is dewatered in a pressurized lime mud filter of disc or drum type. The pressurized lime mud filter is pressurized through a compressor drawing on its suction side (s) gas phase from the filtrate tank and pressurizing on the pressurized side (p) of the compressor the pressure vessel on the lime mud side of the filter. A certain pre-determined amount of gas phase in the gas circulation system is vented and an equivalent pre-determined amount of fresh air is added to the recycled gas phase with the aim of maintaining the partial pressure of oxygen gas above a certain minimum level.

The first terminal moves from a first address to a second address. A secure connection between the first address of the first terminal and the other terminal defining at least the addresses of the two terminals is established. Abstract: A method for eliminating alien species and undesirable organisms from ballast water of a marine vessel. Ballast water (204) is injected into a container (202). An organic substance is added to the ballast water. Heterotrophic organisms (219) in the ballast water reproduce and consume the organic substance (218). The heterotrophic organisms substantially reduce the oxygen level in the ballast water compared to the oxygen level of untreated ballast water. The alien species and undesirable organisms die due to lack of oxygen.

Abstract: The method and an arrangement are for improved impregnation of chips in association with the manufacture of chemical cellulose pulp. Un-steamed chips are fed into an impregnation vessel (30) in which a fluid level (LIQ_LEV) is established under the highest level (CH_LEV) of the chips. An improved impregnation arrangement for the chips is obtained by the addition of impregnation fluids (BL1/BL2/BL3) with increasing temperatures at different heights (P1, P2, P3), and by the establishment of a counter-flow zone (Z1) in the uppermost part of the impregnation vessel. The requirement for steaming may in this way be dramatically reduced while at the same time the amount of expelled waste gases may be minimized. A major part of the volatile compounds present in the wood are bound to the impregnation fluid (REC) that is withdrawn.

Abstract: The device is a table with no wiggling motion, consisting of two pairs of legs (2, 3) for supporting a tabletop. At least one of the leg pairs (2) is motionless and resting with its middle-part (5) against the underside (6) of the tabletop (4). At the same time the other pair of legs (3) with its connecting middle-part (7) is movably attached to the underside (6) of the tabletop (4). The movably attached pair of legs (3) is adjustable as to the ground by tilting sideways in its own plane in relation to the underside of the table top, in order to compensate for possible unevenness in the ground, resulting in the two pairs of legs (2, 3) being able to carry the table top (4) in a wiggle-free way.
