Abstract: Automated defect sourcing systems identify root-causes of yield excursions due to contamination, process faults, equipment failure and/or handling. They perform this function in timely manner and provide accurate and timely feedback to address and contain the sources of yield excursion. A signature repository stores known wafer surface manufacturing defect types as set of rules. The signature of a manufacturing defect pattern is associated with the equipment or process that causes the defects, and is used to source the manufacturing defects and to provide process control for changing and/or stopping yield excursion during fabrication. A defect signature rule-based engine matches wafer defects against the signature repository during wafer fabrication. Once the defect signature is detected during fabrication, handling and/or disposing the root-cause of the corresponding defect is facilitated using messages according to an event handling database.

Abstract: Embodiments disclose methods, systems, and apparatuses for providing maps and directions, including walking and mass transit directions in urban environments where users do not drive cars. Additionally, driving directions can be included. Various criteria, including preferences for amount of walking, for or against particular streets, certain mass transit vehicle types, number of transfers between mass transit vehicles, and other preferences, are considered in the routing calculations, as well as non-individual information such as current conditions and other information. User feedback on various qualitative aspects of the directions is received and stored, and used in subsequent routing decisions. Embodiments disclosed include web services whereby third parties, such as members of the travel industry, can access such services which provide textual and graphical information. Further, clients can access and edit mass transit information through the web services.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a framework for traffic classification that bridges the gap between the packet content inspection and the flow-based behavioral analysis techniques. In particular, IP packets and/or IP flows are used as an input, network nodes are associated to specific network applications by leveraging information gathered from the web, and packet-level and/or flow-level signatures are extracted in an off-line fashion using clustering and signature extraction algorithms. The signatures learned are systematically exported to a traffic classifier that uses the newly available signatures to classify applications on-the-fly.

Abstract: A method for performing a network operation is disclosed. The method includes obtaining an association matrix representing association parameters between first entities and second entities of the network, generating a reduced matrix of the association matrix by aggregating the first entities into a reduced number of representative entities, partitioning a set containing the representative entities and the second entities into intermediate co-clusters based on a reduced-matrix based cohesiveness criterion, generating an expanded intermediate co-cluster from an intermediate co-cluster, partitioning the expanded intermediate co-cluster into final co-clusters based on an association-matrix based cohesiveness criterion, generating a profile of network activities based on the final co-clusters, and performing the network operation based on the profile of the network activities.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a multi-tier system. Major goals of the system are to 1) clearly visualize BGP dynamics and alert/report important deviation of BGP dynamics to avoid overwhelming the operators with too much information and 2) analyze the root cause of the problems by using a multi-tier approach, with a light-computational analysis and high-level classification for a real-time problem identification followed by a more rigorous off-line analysis for a further and more detailed trouble shooting. An example embodiment is provided that comprises four modules. The first module comprises a distributed family of collectors in charge of collecting real-time network information. The second module filters out non-relevant prefixes and extracts and profiles key features of the network information.

Abstract: Optimal structures for high efficiency thin film silicon solar energy conversion devices and systems are disclosed. Thin film silicon active layer photoelectron conversion structures using ion implantation are disclosed. Thin film semiconductor devices optimized for exploiting the high energy and ultraviolet portion of the solar spectrum at the earths surface are also disclosed. Solar cell fabrication using high oxygen concentration single crystal silicon substrates formed using in preference the CZ method are used advantageously. Furthermore, the present invention discloses optical coatings for advantageous coupling of solar radiation into thin film solar cell devices via the use of rare-earth metal oxide (REOx), rare-earth metal oxynitride (REOxNy) and rare-earth metal oxy-phosphide (REOxPy) glasses and or crystalline material. The rare-earth metal is chosen from the group commonly known in the periodic table of elements as the lanthanide series.

Abstract: Inclinometer and directional field sensor readings can have gain, offset, and non-orthogonality errors, as well as reference alignment rotation errors. When a series of readings are taken by a three axis sensor with a variety of different orientations, the resulting dataset looks like a perfect hypothetical sphere in the absence of any errors; with errors as mentioned above the dataset looks like an offset, rotated, ellipsoidal quadratic surface. This invention provides a simple method of removing the above errors from a tilt reference device. A disclosed algorithm is divided into two distinct components: the ellipsoidal quadratic surface component, which covers gain, offset, and axis misalignment; and the rotation component, which covers rotation relative to a set of reference axes. The solution presented here addresses both components combined, or separated and for inclinometers, magnetometers and rate sensors.

The system utilizes interactive mouse hooks, raw input information, and subroutines for generating tagged windows mouse messages. Such tagged windows mouse messages are coupled with a cursor rendering application to generate second, third, or more independent cursors or control points. In addition, the system generates mouse input stream and discerns it from the hardware-generated input stream. The system-generated mouse input stream is further utilized in graphical user interface.

Abstract: Atomic layer epitaxy (ALE) is applied to the fabrication of new forms of rare-earth oxides, rare-earth nitrides and rare-earth phosphides. Further, ternary compounds composed of binary (rare-earth oxides, rare-earth nitrides and rare-earth phosphides) mixed with silicon and or germanium to form compound semiconductors of the formula RE-(O, N, P)—(Si,Ge) are also disclosed, where RE=at least one selection from group of rare-earth metals, O=oxygen, N=nitrogen, P=phosphorus, Si=silicon and Ge=germanium. The presented ALE growth technique and material system can be applied to silicon electronics, opto-electronic, magneto-electronics and magneto-optics devices.
