Abstract: A technique is disclosed for providing problem and solution information, such as that relating to a particular application or protocol, to medical diagnostic institutions and systems. The information is created and stored on machine readable media. A user may enter a problem query at a user interface at the diagnostic institution or system and search a database of information located at a centralized service facility. A list of solutions to the query is displayed at the diagnostic institution. The user may then select and display a desired solution from the user interface. The particular solution may include textual and exemplary image descriptions of the solution. Moreover, additional links may be provided to access other related sources of information. The information stored on the machine readable media may be easily updated by adding new case problems and associated solutions as well as new solutions to existing case problems.

Abstract: An integrated circuit device having non-linear active area pillars. More specifically, pillars are formed in a substrate such that sidewalls are exposed. The sidewalls of the pillars and the top surface of the pillars are covered with a gate oxide and a conductive layer to form a channel through the pillars. The pillars are patterned to form non-linear active area lines having angled segments. The conductive layer is patterned to form word lines that intersect the active area lines at the angled segments.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for synchronizing signals. For devices, such as memory devices, implementing a synchronization device to synchronize signals, a synchronization device having a delay locked loop coupled to a phase locked loop may be implemented. The delay locked loop is implemented to measure the period of a reference signal and to mirror the period into a second delay line such that an adjusted reference signal having a frequency approximately equal to the frequency of the reference clock may be generated. The adjusted reference signal is delivered to an oscillator such that the oscillator begins oscillating at approximately the same frequency as the reference clock signal to provide a fast locking synchronization device.
Abstract: A method for depositing a rough polysilicon film on a substrate is disclosed. The method includes introducing the reactant gases argon and silane into a deposition chamber and enabling and disabling a plasma at various times during the deposition process.
Abstract: One or more techniques are provided for adapting a reconstruction process to account for the motion of an imaged object or organ, such as the heart. In particular, projection data of the moving object or organ is acquired using a slowly rotating CT gantry. Motion data may be determined from the projection data or from images reconstructed from the projection data. The motion data may be used to reconstruct motion-corrected images from the projection data. The motion-corrected images may be associated to form motion-corrected volume renderings.

Abstract: A technique for forming die stacks. Specifically, a stacking tip is provided to facilitate the stacking of die in a desired configuration. A first die is picked up by the stacking tip. The first die is coated with an adhesive on the underside of the die. The first die is brought in contact with a second die via the stacking tip. The second die is coupled to the first die via the adhesive on the underside of the first die. The second die is coated with an adhesive coating on the underside of the die. The second die is then brought in contact with a third die via the stacking tip. The third die is coupled to the second die via the adhesive on the underside of the second die, and so forth. Die stacks are formed without being coupled to a substrate. The die stacks may be functionally and/or environmentally tested before attaching the die stack to a substrate.
Abstract: A method of re-engineering a part includes generating a parametric master model for the part from an editable geometry for the part and generating a manufacturing context model from a design master model. The design master model includes the parametric master model, and the manufacturing context model includes a number of tooling features. The method further includes creating a tooling master model from the manufacturing context model. The tooling master model includes a tooling geometry for the part. A system for re-engineering a part includes a part design master model module configured to generate the parametric master model from the editable geometry and a tooling master model module configured to receive the parametric master model, to generate the manufacturing context model from the parametric master model, and to create the tooling master model from the manufacturing context model.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing cross-talk in an oximeter. The oximeter includes a band pass filter. The amount of cross-talk through the band pass filter is estimated. Based on this estimate, the corner frequencies of the band pass filter are adjusted when it is designed to minimize the cross-talk. In one embodiment, a calibration mode is performed when a sensor is attached to the oximeter. In the calibration mode, the signals are measured with first only the red LED on and then with only the IR LED on. Any signal measured in the off channel is assumed to be a result of cross-talk from the other channel. The magnitude of the cross-talk is determined as a percentage, and subsequently the percentage is multiplied by the actual signal and subtracted from the other LED signal as cross-talk compensation.

Abstract: A technique is provided for generating scout or navigational images based upon a series of related images. The related images are analyzed to compute pixels of scout images, such as by determining a characteristic of aligned pixels of each of the related images. The scout or navigational images are then projections of the related images and individual rows or columns of the scout images correspond to individual images of the related set. One or more of the related images may then be accessed by review of the scout image or images. The scout images may be referred to in their own right for an overview of features of interest and may be modified by a user. The technique provides for efficient time management by allowing specific images to be identified in large image series, and facilitates intelligent use of bandwidth for accessing specific images in a viewer workstation.
