Abstract: 4-(N-Substituted amino)-2-butynyl-1-carbamates and thiocarbamates and derivatives thereof are described, as well as methods for the preparation and pharmaceutical compositions of same, which are useful as centrally acting muscarinic agents and are useful as analgesic agents for the treatment of pain, as sleep aids and as agents for treating the symptoms of senile dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's chorea, tardive dyskinesia, hyperkinesia, mania, or similar conditions of cerebral insufficiency characterized by decreased cerebral acetylcholine production or release.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of an antacid material prepared from magnesium aluminum hydroxide, wherein magnesium hydroxide and/or magnesium oxide is reacted in an atomic ratio of magnesium to aluminum of 1:1 to 3:1 with an aqueous solution of aluminum sulfate until the pH of the reaction mixture is from 4.0 to 8.0, whereafter water-soluble components are removed from the mixture is known manner and this is isolated and, if desired, dried is described as well as a new embodiment of the formula [Mg.sub.5 Al.sub.10 (OH).sub.26 O.sub.5 ](SO.sub.4).sub.2 .multidot.nH.sub.2 O. Abstract: A device for holding and dispensing pills which enables the dispensing of pills in successive order. Pills are mounted in a compact in a single row in the desired successive order and a pill ejector is arranged for incremental movement in one direction along the compact. When the pill ejector is adjacent to a pill, a bendable member is displaced to push the pill out of a blister type package and through an opening in the rear of the compact.
