  • Patent number: 8277047
Abstract: Illumination unit for the generation of optical sectional images in transparent media, particularly in the eye is disclosed. In the arrangement according to the invention, the low-divergence beams emitted by a laser serving as illumination source are imaged on or in the eye under examination by a reflection element which is controllable in a defined manner and beam deflection elements present in the beam path. The optical sectional images resulting in and on the eye can be observed and/or recorded, further processed and evaluated with an image processing unit in a known manner. In the solution according to the invention, a sectional image is generated by the deliberate periodic beam deflection of a particularly fine laser beam with high depth of focus, which sectional image remains sharp through the entire dimension of the object to be examined and makes possible an improved evaluation.

  • Patent number: 8279939
Abstract: Control data subsequent to an extension start code is stored in an encoding apparatus when transmitted after each header data of a video sequence layer, a GOP layer, a picture layer and a slice layer. And in transmission of the next header data, the content of the control data subsequent to the extension start code in the header data to be transmitted is compared with the content of the preceding header data of the same layer stored in the encoding apparatus. And if the result of such comparison signifies that the compared data are mutually the same, neither the extension start code nor the subsequent control data is transmitted. At the reception of each header data of the video sequence layer, the GOP layer, the picture layer and the slice layer, the control data decoded subsequently to the extension start code is stored in the decoding apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8276412
Abstract: The description relates to a grip trough to be installed in a rectangular opening of a thin wall such as a sheet-metal wall or door leaf of a sheet-metal cabinet. The trough has a base and four side walls proceeding therefrom, which four side walls run into a rectangular flange-like rim which surrounds the bearing surface of the opening in the thin wall in the installed state. Two shorter, oppositely located side walls extend substantially parallel to one another and extend perpendicular to the thin wall, while the two other, longer side walls are oriented diagonally at an acute angle and obtuse angle, respectively, relative to the thin wall. Wall webs project in direction of the thin wall from the side wall extending at an obtuse angle to the thin wall. According to the invention, at least one receptacle for a closure device, such as a closing cylinder with a sash fastener, is provided in the area of the side wall that extends at an acute angle to the thin wall.
