Abstract: A groundwater control system and method for regulating the level of groundwater in an agricultural field according to selected criteria concerning the purity of the groundwater including a drainage tile line having a water flow regulator that is computer controlled through a communications link in response to the selected criteria.
Abstract: A container carrier provided with longitudinal extension and retraction capability such that loads may be shifted forward in order to achieve optimal front-to-rear weight distribution on the supporting vehicle. Two hydraulic cylinders having the same rod and bore size are provided in an over and under configuration and act in unison and enable the fork structure to tilt as well as telescopically extend and retract about a mast assembly. The upper cylinder directly controls the angle of the forks while the lower cylinder acts on a mast assembly to extend and retract. A third cylinder is provided for vertically raising and lowering the fork structure so that containers may be picked up from and/or lowered onto elevated surfaces, as well as tilted up and raised toward the truck.
Abstract: A fumigation apparatus for decontamination or disinfection of a building having a fumigation pollution source, a fog generator, a hose for conveying fog to a building to be fumigated and a nozzle on the outer end of said hose that includes a body portion and a radially extending flange that has at least one slot so that when said apparatus is pumping fog into said building air is drawn through the slots to improve the flow of fog into the building.
Abstract: A lagging for a belt conveyor pulley comprises a continuous and homogeneous rubber volume and a number of small plate-like ceramic lagging elements. The ceramic elements may be of rectangular, square, oval or circular shape in various patterns with and without grooving. The lagging is hot vulcanization bonded to the periphery of a pulley in a manner without seams or other paths for liquid or debris ingress to pulley rubber bond.

Abstract: An end of arm tool for packing article bearing trays in boxes includes a pair of spaced apart clamping end members and a pair of cylinder assemblies each including a powered cylinder for causing the end members to move from an extended position to a semi-retracted position for picking up trays and then moving to a fully retracted position to cause the tray to bend for placing the tray in a box.
Abstract: An apparatus that can be inserted into the bottom end of liquid delivery tube for retaining fluid in the tube to aid in drinking, utilizing a ball valve that for the most part only allows unidirectional flow of fluid through the valve and into the tube to prevent the level of fluid in the tube from significantly dropping and also creates a fluid free space at the end of the tube to prevent spillage.

Abstract: An improved suspension that may be used in any dynamically loaded beam structure, such as a trailer chassis. Specifically, an improved spring hanger and method for attachment are discussed, in which the improved spring hanger is welded to the web of a support beam, where stresses are lower, as opposed to the bottom flange thereof. Methods are provided for welding the spring hanger to said beam alongside as well as in contact with existing, transverse support members.

Abstract: An automatic water flow regulator apparatus and a system for controlling and regulating the level of groundwater in an agricultural field. An automatic flow regulator adapted for use in a buried tile line that responds to conditions upstream and downstream along the line in order to regulate flow. Abstract: An electronic business and information card device having sound recording means and sound producing means operably connected to sound storing means, all disposed within a business-card sized housing. The device is battery powered and features three-button operation. Sound information may be pre-recorded. The device has a lockout means to prevent inadvertent erasure of pre-recorded information and to selectively permit recording of new sound information over previous sound information. The surfaces of the housing are provided with identifying information such as names, logos and contact information. Alternatively, the surfaces of the housing may be left blank for customization by intermediate- or end-users.

Abstract: An amphibious all terrain vehicle having a body and at least three wheel and axle assemblies on each side and a pair of ground engaging track assemblies which are mounted on tires on either side of the vehicle. Each of the wheel and axle assemblies include an axle shaft supported by and positioned transverse to the vehicle body so that the wheel and axle assemblies form a front assembly, a rear assembly and at least one middle assembly. Each of the axle shafts has an axle extension with the axle extensions of the front and rear wheel and axle assemblies being fixed extensions and the axle extensions on at least the middle assemblies are idler axle extensions to permit the wheels on such assemblies to move in a free wheeling mode relative to their respective axle shafts.
Abstract: The apparatus of the present invention is useful for recycling protein waste and producing fuel from protein waste. Waste is ground by a grinding means and digested by a enzyme digest medium composed of enzymes, preservatives, and inedible egg. The ground proteins are digested with the enzyme in recirculated digest tanks. Fat can be collected from the tank by addition of acid and separation of fat from water with a centrifuge. Alternatively the ground protein and enzyme can be fermented and gas collected from the digest tank in a pressure tank with a compressor. The protein solubles are emulsified, separated from water, and extruded before drying. Either fat or gas can be used to fuel a dryer. The dried proteins are then milled in a hammer mill and screened for uniform size.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transporting a turkey tail to a hunting site are provided by the present invention. The apparatus is formed of an outer camouflaged base fabric sewn at its edges to an inner fabric. When folded along a diameter, the apparatus is semi-circular in shape. Hook and loop straps along the base fabric secure the apparatus and two handles attached to the base fabric facilitate transport. Reinforcing members between the fabrics protects the turkey tail from damage during transport.
Abstract: A desegregation system for use with hot mix asphalt, warm mix or with any material that will flow and which includes pieces of material of various sizes and for which uniform mixture is important. The system is substantially within a hopper having a material inlet and a material outlet and includes an auger section having a plurality of flights near a first end of an auger shaft and another, counter-handed section near the other end of the auger shaft. The system preferably has a parallel, interlaced pair of right handed auger sections mounted near corresponding ends of separate shafts and a second pair of parallel interlaced auger sections, left-handed, mounted near the opposite and corresponding ends of separate shafts.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for binary communication between a vehicle and a trailer transmits high voltage and low voltage signals detectable as high bits and low bits aggregated into messages. A controller in the vehicle and trailer subsystems each include transceivers for transmitting messages across the vehicle's powerbus that are detectable when current flows across the powerbus. The apparatus and method are useful for controlling trailer brakes via a blue wire interface.
Abstract: A side-by-side locking display and dispensing structure formed by two ticket dispensing units having adjacent sidewalls and a coupling plate for demountably attaching said dispensing units together in a side-by-side relationship whereby the dispensing units have adjacent sidewalls that are connected together by the coupling plate. Also included in the dispensing units are rails for holding dividers that allow the units to hold tickets of different sizes and ticket fasteners that permit the tickets to be displayed at the front of the units.
Abstract: A universal remote monitoring system and method for irrigation systems having a self-contained remote terminal unit mounted at an outer portion of the irrigation system which is independent of the irrigation system control. The unit includes a global positioning system for producing coordinate data, a computer for processing the coordinate data into operational data, and a transmitter for delivering the operational data to a communications satellite. The satellite relays the operational data through a communications network into a remote service computer which generates information messages to mobile operator devices informing the operator of movement status and other operational information.
Abstract: A display and dispensing device for lottery-type tickets or the like that is securable to prevent the dispensing of the tickets when desired. The device includes a housing of box-like configuration having an open rear end, a door pivotally attached to the housing open end and a security shield pivotally attached to the door and being alternatively located in an open condition allowing said lottery tickets to be dispensed and a closed condition blocking the dispensing of said tickets.
