Abstract: A theft-prevention and tracking system and method for semi truck trailers or other vehicles. One or more status indicators, such as location, indication of unauthorized tampering, disconnection of the trailer from the truck, etc. communicate an alarm to a remote monitoring and dispatch center. A stolen vehicle can be remotely stopped at the command and control of the remote monitoring and dispatch center. Upon occurrence of a predetermined condition, such as stopping and blowing off the air from the brake system, the vehicle's brakes remain locked until entry of an authorization code or otherwise receiving authorization to proceed from the remote monitoring and dispatch center.
Abstract: Described herein are compositions and methods for imparting stain resistance, liquid repellency and enhanced antimicrobial activity to an article. The composition include a solvent, a surfactant, and an aluminum polymer. Also described herein are articles treated with the compositions and methods described herein.
Abstract: An underwater buoy release system having a moment arm release system. The moment arm release system has a magnetically attractive arm structure connected to a buoy. The buoy release system further includes an electromechanical device having magnetically attractive elements, wherein the electromechanical device moves the magnetically attractive elements toward, and away from, the magnetically attractive arm structure. The magnetic attraction in the moment arm release system and the electromechanical device is created by rare earth magnets. The buoy release system further includes a signal reception device, wherein the signal reception device includes a battery, a signal reception transducer, and a PC board. The PC board is formatted to decipher a predetermined signal transmitted from a remote signal transmission device.
Abstract: A hair brush includes a body, a cushion pad, and a plurality of bristles. The body includes at least a partial cavity at a first end, and the cavity includes a front portion, a rear portion, and a plurality of apertures. A cushion pad having a first surface is disposed near the front portion of the cavity when the hair brush is in a user position, and is disposed near a second surface located near the rear portion of the cavity when the hair brush is in a cleaning position. The plurality of bristles are disposed on the cushion pad, and have a first end that bristles extend substantially perpendicular from the first surface of the cushion pad through the apertures in the front portion of the body.

Abstract: A device (1) for cutting meat, provided with at least one knife (12) and means (2,3) for carrying, in a transport direction (T), meat (22) along the knife (12), such that the meat is cut into at least two parts, while in the transport direction (T) directly behind the at least one knife (12), a separating plate (15) is arranged, the arrangement being such that during use, a first part of the cut meat is guided to a first side (16) of the separating plate and a second part of the cut meat is guided along the opposite second side of the separating plate and the parts of the meat are processed separately from each other.
Abstract: Described herein are compositions and methods for imparting odor resistance to an article. Also described herein are articles treated with the compositions and methods described herein.
Abstract: A computer-based system, computer-implemented method and computer program product facilitate determining energy cost savings in an energy-consuming facility, such as a commercial building, using a neural network model that projects or estimates the amount of energy that would have been consumed by the facility but for the implementation of energy efficiency or conservation measures. Energy savings are represented by the difference between the estimate of energy that would have been consumed but for the measures and the actual amount of energy consumed by the facility under actual conditions during a time interval after the measures have been implemented.
