  • Patent number: 4375019
Abstract: A device for adjusting the position of a drive element for automatically opening and closing a sliding door which is automatically opened upon stepping on of a mat switch by a customer who intends to enter a store and is automatically closed upon releasing of the mat switch by the customer who entered the store. The drive element of the automatically opening and closing sliding door is adjusted by merely once manually opening and closing sliding door. The drive elements such as limit switches are slidably mounted, not on the sliding door but on an endless wire such as an endless belt. Thus, adjusting the drive element so that the sliding door may stop just upon completely opening or closing of the door when mounting such an automatic sliding door can be rapidly and readily accomplished.

  • Patent number: 4370856
Abstract: An arrangement is described for controlling a winch used in mining machinery, wherein the direction of operating a winch and speed thereof are controlled by changing the position of a control element of a fluid pump for supplying a fluid into a fluid pressure recirculating circuit, by a device incorporating the fluid pressure recirculating circuit and a control circuit. The arrangement is characterized by feeding ON/OFF signals for giving instructions of a position to a control element, by a bi-polar pulse generator. Pulse from the bi-polar pulse generator are fed to a reversible BCD counter by pressing push buttons, and comparing a voltage generated via a D/A converting circuit from the reversible BCD counter with a voltage generated from a potentiometer coupled to the control element according to the position of the control element to be selected, thereby controlling the instruction of the position of the control element; and setting a speed of the winch by pressing the push buttons.

  • Patent number: 4365385
Abstract: A hinge arrangement for a record player to properly distribute the load over a glass cover and avoid imposing an unduly large load around the mounting holes. There is provided a cover retainer with a pair of hinge plates having side plate portions which define a receiving space for a pair of anchoring lugs and a hinge pin, on one of said hinge plates. The side portions on the other hinge plate are received by and fixed in said defined space and retained at the center point by the anchoring lugs so as to prevent the other hinge plate from rotating back away from the one hinge plate. Attaching screws are provided on one of said hinge plates for fixing the cover inserted in the cover retainer.

  • Patent number: 4355887
Abstract: A document hold-down cover for a copy machine comprises a lifting means, a hinge means, a deck plate of said copy machine, a hold-down-cover, the lifting means is arranged between said deck plate and said hold-down cover, said hinge means is attached between said lifting means and said hold-down cover. According to the invention, when copying thick material which is put on the contacting glass for copying the closed-hold-down cover comes into parallel with the material on the glass since the lifting means is lifted by leverage. When the material is taken off the glass cover, the lifting means comes down or returns back to the first position by gravity. The hold-down cover can be opened and closed in both the first position and the lifting position.

  • Patent number: 4351415
Abstract: This invention provides a hydraulic elevator installation in which a variable hydraulic pump supplies pressure fluid to a hydraulic actuator connected to an elevator cage. The hydraulic pump functions to operate as a hydraulic motor with the pressure fluid discharged from the hydraulic actuator when the elevator is descending. The hydraulic pump is driven by an induction motor. The induction motor begins to function as an induction generator, recovering potential energy on the high speed rotation of the hydraulic motor while it is generating electricity. When the hydraulic pump has started its function as the hydraulic motor.

  • Patent number: 4348064
Abstract: A linear ball bearing arrangement has an elongated track table over which is disposed a linear ball bearing main body, of which the front and rear end surfaces have side caps. Also, four concave axial track grooves are formed axially in the main body in parallel. Corresponding axial track grooves are defined in the track table. Non-loaded bearing ball paths are disposed adjacent to the four axial grooves. The combination of the four concave track grooves in the main body and the corresponding track grooves in the track table form the loaded ball paths while the end side caps connect the loaded ball paths to the non-loaded ball paths. The loaded ball paths and the non-loaded ball paths are symmetrically disposed around the center axis of the track table and the main body.

  • Patent number: 4347903
Abstract: A weighing balance to provide an average weight to an object which tends to move while being weighed such as a laboratory animal. The object to be weighed is placed on a receiving pan which provides an electrical analog output signal corresponding to the weight of the object. This signal after passing through an amplifier is converted to a digital electrical signal fed to a data input control means. A level detector setting means allows an output from said control means only when the weight on the balance reaches a predetermined level. The output from the control means is fed to a memory having a plurality of registers which store this information. Coupled on one side to this memory is a comparator which is also coupled on a second side to said control means. Also coupled to said comparator means is an allowable range means, sampling time means, and average calculating means. The average calculating means feeds an output to a printer.
