Patent number: 6948426Abstract: The invention relates to a rotation screen printing method for flat textile structures, especially textile strips (1). According to said method, at least one image which is represented as a pattern repeat is printed on the flat structure (1) by means of a continuously rotating printing cylinder (2) having at least one circumferential section in the lateral surface, which is permeable to printing medium. In order to print a pattern repeat in the circumferential direction, a flat textile structure (1) is moved into a printing position determined by the printing cylinder, is brought into active communication with the printing cylinder (2) and is taken out of communication after the printing. To this end, the flat textile structure (1) is moved back and forth, in steps, for each pattern repeat. A device for carrying out said method comprises a transport unit (4) having a reversible drive device (11) for displacing the flat structure by means of a step-by-step and back and forth movement.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2002Date of Patent: September 27, 2005Assignee: Textilma AGInventor: John Rush

Patent number: 6880971Abstract: A plastic film bag assembly includes a bag having front and back walls joined together and defining an opening leading to a cavity. A header portion extends from the back wall for supporting the bag on a structure. A severance line extends across the header and includes tear sections extending inwardly from each of the header side edges. The severance line also includes support sections adjacent and inwardly of the tear sections. The support sections have a strength per unit length of severance line which is greater than the tear sections strength per unit length of severance line whereby, when severing the bag away from the header, a greater force is required for severing along the severance line support sections than the force required for severing along the tear sections. In use, the bag front wall lip is grasped and pulled away from the header for separating complementary profiles and opening the bag. The header tear sections are severed until reaching the support sections.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2003Date of Patent: April 19, 2005Assignee: Packaging Innovations, Inc.Inventor: David C. Patent number: 6861810Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide an organic electroluminescent display device and driving method including an apparatus comprised of at least one organic-light-emitting diode (OLED), a rectification diode and a capacitor used as a memory device. A frame period of the display device is divided into sub-frames, which have address and light emission periods. Current mode data programming is used to address the display device in each sub-frame. In the light emission period, charge previously stored in selected capacitors during the address period, supplies the forward current for the OLEDs. A ramp waveform applied to the row electrode, during the light emission period, forces the capacitor to discharge through the OLED and controls the forward current level. The operation of the OLEDs are retained in their area of maximum performance.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2002Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignees: FPD Systems, Imaging Systems TechnologyInventor: James C. Patent number: 6783137Abstract: A pivotal connection includes a pin through a bore in a carrier having an annular flange and annular groove at opposite ends, and opposing annular bearings having relative rotatable components fitted around the pin within the bore and abutting opposite sides of an annular member in the bore such that the pin is rotatable relative to the carrier. One bearing abuts a side of the flange and the other bearing is spaced from the groove so as to define an annular gap extending from the groove to the other bearing. The pivotal connection also includes a retainer member disposed in the groove and projecting therefrom and spaced by the gap from the other bearing and a series of shims and spacer positioned around the pin between the retainer member and other bearing so as to fill the gap to impose a predetermined preload on the bearings causing them to clamp therebetween the annular member in the carrier bore.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Tuthill CorporationInventors: David L. Patent number: 6622199Abstract: A method for allocating blocks within sectored EEPROM (commonly referred to as flash memory) based memory to minimize data relocation overhead and maximize sectored EEPROM lifetime. Data to be saved within sectored EEPROM is configured into data pages or blocks representing the minimum data size that is relocated within the sectored EEPROM in any given erase cycle. Multiple data blocks are contained within a single sector. A sector represents the minimum data size that is erased from the sectored EEPROM in any single erase cycle. Each block has a corresponding calculated value of volatility and new or updated data blocks to be added to the file are saved in sectored EEPROM according to a hierarchy based upon the calculated volatility of the data block. Data blocks with a calculated volatility within a predetermined threshold of the average volatility of a sector are saved within the most occupied sector containing no obsolete blocks.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1999Date of Patent: September 16, 2003Assignee: Qualcomm IncorporatedInventors: Lee Young Spall, James A. Patent number: 6575892Abstract: A water tub for applying magnetic flux to a human back and neck including a water retaining wall whereagainst a human may place his back. Permanent magnets are affixed on the outside surface of the water retaining wall with an adhesive. The retaining wall and adhesive are made of non-magnetic materials. The magnetic flux field of each of the magnets travels through the retaining wall and beyond the wall inside surface and into a human's back placed adjacent thereto. A neck support pillow made of compressible foam is supported generally at the top of the water retaining wall and is adapted to support a human's neck. Magnets are embedded within the foam whereby the magnetic flux field thereof travels out from the pillow and beyond the inner surface into a human's neck placed adjacent thereto.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2000Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: Master Spas, Inc.Inventor: Robert Lauter

Patent number: 6492776Abstract: The plasma display panel (PDP) cells are defined at the cross points of the electrodes and sustain discharges are provided in the cells by changing electrical potential of the sustain/scan and sustain electrodes with respect to one another. The sustain/scan and sustain electrodes are driven simultaneously substantially at opposite phase and between low and high electrical potentials with respect to one another thereby substantially eliminating electrical potential pulses from being induced on the data electrodes. Preferably, the PDP is divided into a plurality of display areas which are electronically independently controlled. Because electrical potential pulses are not induced in the data electrodes, in operation, while one display area is being addressed the remaining panel display areas are in sustain mode providing discharge pulses and producing light emissions.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2001Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Inventor: James C. Patent number: 6416027Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a flat bed television on a door mounted on a ceiling, or a cabinet which is mounted to a ceiling. The door and television are selectively pivoted between a retracted storage position and an extended television viewing position. Drive nut assemblies threadingly engage and are adapted to travel along drive screws which are rotatably driven by selectively reversible motors. Cables extend over guide wheels rotatably supported on the drive nut assemblies and extend and are connected to the door. As the drive nut assemblies are caused to travel along the drive screws, the cable lengths extending to the door are selectively lengthened and shortened for thereby selectively pivotally extending and retracting the door and television between the respective viewing and storage positions.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2001Date of Patent: July 9, 2002Inventor: James K.
