Abstract: A treat dispenser for a pet animal enclosure, the treat dispenser allowing a user to selectively release a treat into the enclosure without having to open the enclosure. The treat dispenser may include a top with an opening into which a user may place a treat for the pet animal. The treat dispenser may include a user actuated mechanism to release a treat into a tube extending from the top to a bottom, the bottom including an opening to deliver the treat to the pet animal within the enclosure.
Abstract: A connector for pipe or tubing. The connector includes a unitary expansion member, formed from a body, a first expansion leg extending from the body, an optional second expansion leg extending from the body, and at least one opening extending through the body. In use, the connector is fastened in place by a fastener that is inserted through the at least one opening to contact at least one of the first and second expansion legs and force at least one of them to deform and contact the inside of the pipe or tubing, thereby securing the connector within the pipe or tubing.
Abstract: The invention provides a composition useful for forming odor suppressing seals in waterless urinals. Methods of using the composition to form liquid seals as well as waterless urinals employing such liquid seals are further provided.
Abstract: An automatic transfer switch apparatus for use with a stand-alone generator, for supplying emergency power to a residence or small business. The automatic transfer switch apparatus is configured to sense a utility line failure, start up and stabilize the generator, and switch over the household circuits from the utility to the generator, and switch back when the utility recovers. The transfer switches incorporate motor-driven switch interlock mechanisms in several embodiments, as well as various operational features.
Abstract: A system for mounting a partition, the system including a shoe with a slot for receiving an edge of the partition and an isolator that fits within the slot between the partition and a portion of the slot. A clamp assembly fits within the slot opposite the first isolator. The clamp assembly includes upper and lower blocks and a center block. The clamp assembly and the isolator are configured to permit the angling of the partition within the slot to place the partition in a desired position. Surfaces of the blocks are angled with respect to each other so that drawing the upper and lower blocks toward each other will urge the center block in one direction so that the partition is held within the slot.

A lighting fixture with one or more lighting elements is mounted to a distal end of the mast. Abstract: A method of controlling a scale in connection with to a carrier of pourable bulk materials. The scale involved has a control with a display and control buttons. Upon a first press of a first control button, the system is transitioned into a “tare” mode and displays a base, or tare, value. Upon a second press of the first control button, generally after unloading some or all of the load, the difference in weight from the first press is saved to a storage medium, and a value displayed representing the weight of bulk material in the container at that time. The method may also include the pressing of a Zero button to zero the scale before the carrier is first loaded.
Abstract: A synchronized clock system, for use with an electronic system having several system nodes requiring a synchronized clock signal. The clock system may be formed in either discrete form or in integrated form, or in any combination, and includes a first synch bus and a second synch bus, isolated from the first synch bus, and at least one pair and preferably several pairs of SXO modules connected to the busses in alternating fashion. Each of the system nodes is connected at a different one of any number of arbitrarily selected connection points anywhere along the first bus. The points along the busses at which the SXO modules are connected are spaced roughly equidistantly apart. The system nodes are connected to the bus by means of signal conditioning circuits, which may include correction circuits, an amplifier, a frequency multiplier, a logic translator and a fan buffer.
Abstract: A liquid dispensing faucet including a flow control lever engaging a sealing member within an internal cavity of a faucet body. The sealing member is held within the faucet body in an oversized recess permitting liquid to flow about all sides of the sealing member when the flow control handle is placed in an open position and liquid flows through the faucet body. The faucet body may have a removable spout mounted at a second end of the body. An air inlet may be included within a flow path of the liquid downstream of the sealing member. This air inlet promotes the removal of residual liquid from the flow path when the flow lever is in a closed position and is positioned to discourage flow of the liquid through the air inlet when the flow lever is in an open position.
Abstract: A mobile leaf blower includes a main blower assembly driven by an engine or motor. The blower has a deflector box at the blower outlet with deflector plates which enable the air flow to be either directed laterally and forwardly of the blower unit or to a flexible blower tube attached to the unit. The operator may either cause the air flow to flow through the flexible blower tube or forwardly and laterally of the blower unit along the ground. When not in use, the flexible blower tube can be wound around a hose reel attached to the main handles of the ground blower unit.

A system of executing the patient care plan with specific milestones established before transitioning the treatment from one stage of the care plan to the next stage of the care plan. A method of developing, executing and assessing the execution of a patient care plan including a plurality of phases of patient care and milestones to be met before transitioning to the next phase of care.

Abstract: The present invention is an engraved gemstone viewer for viewing a smooth surface of a gemstone that has been micro or nano etched, engraved or embossed with an inscription such as an identification number. The gemstone is mounted on a piece of jewelry or can remain unmounted when received by the viewer. A source of light directs a light beam toward a magnifying lens coated with a reflection enhancing coating. The lens reflects the light beam along a path incident to the surface of the gemstone containing the inscription. The smooth gemstone surface specularly reflects the light beam along a path back toward the magnifying lens, which produces a viewable light image that reveals the inscription. The inscription is shown as a combination of darkened or lightened areas, lines and characters given the reduction or absence of light reflected, or highlighted by the reflection of light.
