  • Patent number: 7540125
Abstract: A method of operating an inserter with infeed and outfeed each driven by a separate servo motor. A controller independently energizes the servo motors to drive the infeed and outfeed to position a continuous feed of objects with a first object in the outfeed and a web between the first and second objects within a bursting space. The outfeed exerts tension on the continuous feed when the web is within the bursting gap. The web is burst and the first object is ejected from the outfeed into an item on a production line. An inserter with separate servo motors driving the infeed and the outfeed to position objects of a continuous feed, to burst webs between the objects by generating tension in the webs and to eject the burst objects from the inserter.

  • Patent number: 7494582
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electroionic apparatus for treating an aqueous solution, including a flow cell through which the aqueous solution may flow, and a high frequency AC power source. A pair of electrodes within the flow cell are in contact with the aqueous solution and coupled to the AC power source. The AC power source generates a signal that is transmitted to the electrodes to generate an electromagnetic field and an ionic current within the aqueous solution in the flow cell. Each electrode includes a plurality of perforations defined through the plate electrode. Electrodes within the flow cell may be formed of materials having a catalytic effect upon the electroionic reactions within the flow cell.

  • Patent number: 7494110
Abstract: An arrangement for raising and lowering relative light weight objects from a ground position to a high storage position. A bracket is secured to the high storage position and supports a vertical rotatable shaft, with a pair of horizontal reels and an automatic lock position. A rod is detachably attached to the shaft and extends horizontally downwardly to the ground position. Rotation of the shaft around its central axis causes rotation of the reels. The reels are affixed to two lines which extend generally horizontally from the reels, with the free ends of the lines extending over spaced pulleys and extending downwardly for attachment to the ground level. Rotation of the shaft allows raising and lowering of the object. A spring loaded mechanism associated with the shaft causes automatic locking of the reels in any position, and locks the reels upon raising to the high storage position.

  • Patent number: 7494300
Abstract: An ice anchor and method of use thereof for securing or rescuing a vehicle which has become stuck or trapped while on a frozen surface of a body of water. The ice anchor may include blades which form a shaft and fit into an opening in the ice, and plates that limit insertion of the anchor into the hole and define an attachment area for a safety device such as a rope, chain, or cable, which may include a tensioning device. When lateral force is placed on the shaft by tensioning the safety device, the outer surfaces of the blades engage the inner wall of the hole and oppose the lateral forces, allowing the vehicle to be removed from the gap or opening in the ice.

  • Patent number: 7465295
Abstract: This invention relates to a vaginal/ano-rectal applicator for the uniform delivery of any topical formulations to treat and/or prevent any infection and/or abnormal conditions of mucosa cavity caused by any pathogen and/or disease. The present applicator comprises a longitudinally extending body that has proximal and distal ends. The proximal end is located close to the external site of a mucosal cavity accessible to a user. The body has external perforations, made as a series of slots or holes, for uniform distribution of any formulation to be delivered to the user's mucosal cavity. Upon insertion of the applicator and expulsion of the formulation in the mucosal cavity, the formulation, which is contained in a reservoir, travels through a diffusion channel having a small volume, prior to being expelled through the perforations.

  • Patent number: 7454304
Abstract: A peak weight detecting system and method which analyzes signals generated by a load cell indicating a load within a container. The signal indicates a weight which is compared with a stored peak weight. If the new weight exceeds the stored weight, the new weight is verified by comparison to a weight indicated by a second signal from the load cell. If the weights indicated by the first and second signals are within a specified percentage of each other, the weight indicated by the first signal may displace the stored peak weight and may be stored as a new peak weight.
