  • Patent number: 6996939
Abstract: A room partition system for a room having a central connecting panel and hingeably attached, foldable lateral storage units. Each of the lateral storage units has a bottom-mounted wheel assembly, thereby allowing the partition system to be rolled to various locations within the room. The lateral storage units have a plurality of shelves and provide substantial storage volume for containment of various items of clothing and other accessories. The lateral storage units are attached by hinges to the central connecting panel, thereby allowing a user to fold the storage units partially or fully against the connecting panel. The partition system has an open position, wherein the storage units extend parallel to the connecting panel, and also a folded position, wherein each lateral storage unit is rotated upon its hinges to a position perpendicular to that of the connecting panel, thereby forming a partially enclosed area for use as an entertainment center, a study center, or a work center.

  • Patent number: 6980125
Abstract: A warning light system for a traffic intersection for alerting pedestrians and operators of passenger vehicles to the approach of an emergency vehicle. The warning light system is activated only by sounds in the range of frequencies which are emitted by the siren of an emergency vehicle. The warning light system has a warning light assembly having a control unit, and also has an audio sensor unit. The warning light assembly has a blue light and a white light, which flash alternately and repeatedly, after receipt of an audio signal by the audio sensor unit from the siren of an emergency vehicle, and processing of that signal by the control unit. The lights of the warning light assembly continuously flash until the sound emitted from the siren is no longer detectable by the audio sensor.

  • Patent number: 6971815
Abstract: A binder ring clamp assembly for use with a loose leaf binders having binder rings. The assembly has a pair of clamps, each clamp having a flat panel with at least two holes for allowing the binder rings to extend therethrough. Tensioned springs are secured around the holes such that in use the springs are extended over the binder rings. The springs serve to urge the paper contained within the rings towards the center of the rings. When the binder is closed, the springs are compressed between the binder rings and the clamp assembly panels. The tension in the springs, along with the weight of the panels, exert pressure against the papers from both directions to maintaining the papers in alignment and positioned towards the center of the binder.

  • Patent number: 6948516
Abstract: An excess tire air pressure relief valve positioned on an automobile tire for relieving the pressure within the tire caused by heat or over inflation. The valve has a main tube that extends through the tire rim, to selectively communicate air from the tire interior to the tire exterior. The tube has a spring that extends between a pair of disks. A seal is positioned below the spring support disk and is pressed against a lower lip by the spring to prevent air leakage through the tube. The spring is selected to exert sufficient force against the seal to prevent air leakage through the main tube. When internal pressure is greater than normal within the tire, the spring is urged outward, allowing air to escape around the edges of the spring support disk until the internal pressure lowers such that the spring can once again hold the seal tightly against the bottom lip.
