Abstract: A depth of cut/height adjuster for a grass treatment insert mounted to rotate in a frame supported on front and rear rollers. The adjuster permits an operator to vary the height of a frame relative to the front roller and thereby adjust the depth of cut of the grass treatment insert. The depth/height adjuster includes a frame mount block for attachment to the frame. The frame mounting block has a throughbore in which is threaded a shaft. A roller mounting block for attachment to the front roller is rotatably mounted on a lower end of the shaft. A vertical gauge attached to the roller mounting block when aligned with a marker on the frame mounting block (such as the bottom edge) indicates the relative distance between the roller mounting block and frame mounting block which is correlated with a height setting of the grass treatment insert.
Abstract: Non-flour containing baked and related food compositions are made with egg protein and soy protein isolate stabilized with a hydrocolloid component. Fats and oils may be added without collapsing the matrix of egg protein and soy protein isolate. The food compositions may be used by cellacs and are sufficiently low in net carbohydrates as to be useful in diet programs requiring a low level of carbohydrates for weight loss.
Abstract: A vibratory roller unit with a framework having a rotating shaft and a drum. The shaft has a fixed inboard eccentric weight and an outboard eccentric weight rotatable with respect to the fixed inboard eccentric weight for varying the amplitude of the vibrations on the drum. A powered lawn mower of the type adapted for mowing greens on golf courses and having a powered vertically adjustable reel cutting unit is converted into a greensroller when a vibratory roller unit is substituted for each reel cutting unit.
Abstract: A tie-down device that removeably secures to almost any point along a side rail of a truck bed without the aid of tools and without modifying the truck bed. Security members can removeably attach to the tie-down device to secure items within the truck bed for safe transport. The tie-down device includes a first member and a second member operatively connected by a fastener to clamp the tie-down device against respective side rail outer surface and side rail inner surface with a frictional connection.
Abstract: A method for playing live and electronic Blackjack-style games with an optional bonus bet wherein a player bets that he or she will be dealt a natural Blackjack hand. Unless the dealer is also dealt a natural Blackjack hand, the player continues playing Blackjack with his or her natural Blackjack hand reevaluated as a hard hand eleven. If the player beats the dealer, the player is paid 3:2 for his or her base bet and at a significantly higher payout for his or her bonus bet without interfering with the rhythm of the game for other players who want to play Blackjack conventionally. If the dealer is also dealt a natural Blackjack, a player with a natural Blackjack is paid at a significantly higher payout for his or her bonus bet while the base bet is a push.
Abstract: A reading focus card that may be used to isolate a block or line of text and act as a concentrator to encourage and promote left to right eye-tracking. The focus card may be used in a variety of ways and may be provided as a kit and assembled by a user. The focus card includes aligned notches and aligned windows in front and rear sheets opening to a left margin of the card. A transparent plastic insert is installed in the windows. Front and rear sheets are held in assembly by an adhesive that allows the sheets to be picked apart multiple times and different inserts installed depending on the individual needs of the user.
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring hand washing or application of a disinfectant wherein a pattern recognition algorithm executed in a computer compares one or more digitized images of a user going through hand washing or disinfectant application motions with a reference set of images and creates a pass/fail report. An input device, digitizer and computer used in monitoring hand washing or application of a disinfectant may also be used as part of a touchless identification system to authenticate the user wherein an image processing algorithm and a mathematical algorithm executed in the computer identifies the user based on data extracted from the user's digitized hand images.
Abstract: A deck extension for use on a truck or trailer deck mounted on a pair of I-beams. The deck extension has a platform pivoted to the truck deck and a pair of downwardly angled support beams attached to the I-beams and to a header. An air suspension bag is mounted on a shelf between the support beams for pivoting the platform about the hinge. A fence is pivoted on the header between a position where it is perpendicular to the platform and serves as a support and a position where it is generally parallel to the platform with the platform resting on a top surface of the support beams.
Abstract: A waste basket lid simulating a sports playing field. The lid mounts as a cover over the top of a waste basket. The lid is formed from a panel with a hole through which waste material may be thrown. The hole is located near a sports goal which extends out of the plane of the panel adjacent an edge of the panel. Markings are provided on the panel associated with the markings found on the sports field being simulated. The panel may be mounted on a clamp about which it can pivot on a rim of the waste basket and may include a backstop along an edge of the panel to catch waste material that may be overthrown the hole.
