  • Patent number: 6606912
Abstract: A construction for mounting a pressure detector prevents the detector diaphragm from being strained by stress applied to the pressure detector as the detector is mounted in a fixture main body provided in a pipe line or the like, thereby keeping the output characteristics and temperature characteristics of the detector from greatly differing before and after the mounting. The pressure detector is constructed by combining and fastening together a diaphragm base having a diaphragm and a sensor base having a sensor element therein that is activated by displacement of the diaphragm base. The pressure detector, with a gasket placed thereunder, is disposed in a mounting hole of a fixture main body that is mounted in a pipe line. The pressure detector is air-tightly pressed and fastened by a presser member inserted from above in the mounting hole.

  • Patent number: 6604826
Abstract: An apparatus and method for displaying a difference in the Abbe number of an ocular optical lens to facilitate visual appreciation and understanding of the difference by a layperson. The apparatus and method indicates a degree of chromatic aberration at each point of a spectacle lens by inputting data corresponding to an Abbe number and outputting a representation of a region of comfortable vision. A plurality of the data may be obtained using a plurality of spectacle lenses having different Abbe numbers. On a single screen, the invention displays an image of the shape of a spectacle frame, a plurality of regions of comfortable vision (as a circle, ellipse or another closed curve, for example) and the difference in vision due to the difference in the Abbe number is evaluated from the display.

  • Patent number: 6565330
Abstract: A heating and pumping device for liquids, in particular for water of aquariums, the device comprising a pump (24) having a pump body (32) and a thermo-heating element (26) having a thermo-heating body (60). There is a casing (22) which contains both the pump (24) and the thermo-heating element (26) such that a passage section (102) for water is defined between the thermo-heating element (26) and the casing (22). To seal the electrical parts of the thermo-heating element (26) and to prevent damage, a sole sealed zone (100) filled with resin is created between the pump body (32) and the thermo-heating body (60). • Patent number: 6563074
Abstract: A cylindrical boss hole 2a with a preferred tolerance is formed beforehand in the portion of a precision cast turbine blade unit 2, where it is to be joined to a rotor shaft 3. One end of the rotor shaft that has been finish machined beforehand is inserted into the hole 2a, and joint portions thereof are welded simultaneously by electron beam welding at a plurality of spots spaced at equal angles in the circumferential direction. Also, the turbine blades are machined using the outer periphery and the end surface of the previously finish machined rotor shaft as machining references. Thus, imbalances that are inevitably produced when using a conventional machining method can be greatly reduced, and the time needed to correct the imbalances is shortened and the yield of the products can be increased.
