Abstract: A method of removing moisture efficiently in the gas supply system by evacuation at normal temperature without using the baking method. The method involves flowing a gas to remove moisture in the gas supply system with the flow pressure of the gas to remove moisture set at not lower than a minimum pressure at which the gas flow becomes viscous and not higher than a water saturated vapor pressure at a flow temperature of the gas to remove moisture. The gas to remove moisture achieves a viscous flow when a mean free path of gas molecules is smaller than a diameter of piping of the gas supply system. If the gas for removing moisture is evacuated at normal temperature under such conditions, the adsorbed moisture on an inside surface of the piping and in the valves and filters can be removed effectively.
Abstract: Master and slave servo control circuits 2a and 2b are configured with servo controllers 3a, 3b, servo amplifiers 4a, 4b, servo motors 5a, 5b, feedback detectors 6a, 6b and error detectors 7a, 7b, and the servo motors 5a, 5b are mechanically interlocked and connected to a load. At a location upstream from the servo amplifier 4b, a torque command value selector 21 is provided; when the error detector 7a does not detect an error in the servo control circuit 2a, the selector switches so that the servo amplifier 4a and the servo amplifier 4b both receive a torque command value from the servo controller 3a, and when the error detecter 7a detects an error in the servo control circuit 2a, the selector switches so that the servo amplifier 4b receives a torque command value from the servo controller 3b.

Abstract: An adiabatic expansion apparatus 22 with a built-in turbine impeller 12 adiabatically expands gas at a cryogenic temperature when the impeller rotates. A control device 24 is connected coaxially with the turbine impeller to control the impeller. A variable nozzle mechanism 30 is provided for varying the throat area for the gas at a cryogenic temperature to be introduced into the turbine impeller. The adiabatic expansion apparatus is installed in a vacuum vessel 14, and a control device is disposed outside the vacuum vessel. The variable nozzle mechanism comprises a nozzle component 32 built into the adiabatic expansion apparatus, and a driving component 34 installed outside the vacuum vessel. The nozzle component and the driving component are connected to the turbine impeller with a coaxial, thin cylindrical component 36, and drive the nozzle component when the cylindrical component rotates about the axis Z of the turbine impeller.

Abstract: A primary object of the present invention is to provide a static-type mixing and stirring device which allows for reduction in size of the device and for substantial reduction in the costs of manufacturing the device, while at the same time lowering pressure loss and enhancing the mixing and stirring performance of the device. To achieve the object of the present invention, the static-type mixing and stirring device comprises a cylindrical case body, a plural number of disk-shaped elements—equipped with plural kinds of holes at prescribed intervals—combined and fitted in sequence into the case body, and joint metals removably fitted to the ends of the inlet and outlet of the body case.
Abstract: A large number of nozzle vanes 16 are arranged in an annular channel 10 formed between opposed surfaces of turbine housing 1 and turbine shroud 9. A recess 20 is constructed on the formation surface of the annular channel 10 of the turbine housing 1, and in this recess, a clearance control plate 21 is disposed so that the clearance C between the plate and nozzle vanes 16 becomes constant. Two gaskets 25 whose outer rims are formed in a bead shape are laid in a gap S on the rear side of clearance control plate 21, in such a manner that outer rims of the gaskets separate from each other. In this configuration, outer rims widen when gas pressure is applied, and gas can be sealed stably without leakage.

Abstract: There is disclosed a hybrid treatment into which CVI treatment and PIP treatment are combined. A dense matrix is formed around a ceramic fiber by the CVI treatment, and a gap in the matrix is infiltrated/filled well with the matrix by the PIP treatment, so that hermetic properties are enhanced. Moreover, when a volume ratio of the matrix by the CVI treatment in the total matrix is set to about 5% or more, about 80% or less, fine cracks are present in the matrix by the PIP treatment, so that a binding force of the ceramic fiber is weakened, and Young's modulus can be reduced. As a result, a thermal stress is alleviated and a resistance to thermal shock is enhanced.

Abstract: Disclosed are a photosensitive polymer composition comprising (a) a polymer soluble in an aqueous alkaline solution, (b) an o-quinonediazide compound, and (c) a dissolution inhibitor for the component (a) in an aqueous alkaline solution; a method of using the composition for forming relief patterns; and electronic parts having, as a passivating film or an interlayer insulating film, the relief pattern as formed in the method. A incident beam reaches the first grating where it is diffracted in two beams whose directions are interchanged by the second grating, the resulting beams being then again diffracted by the first grating in an output diffraction direction where they interfere together. Both gratings are used in reflexion.
Abstract: A method for obtaining a finished or semi-finished zirconia-based article having a gold metallic external appearance, the method including the steps of: providing at least one zirconia article previously shaped into its finished or semi-finished shape; partially reducing the zirconia forming said article; placing said article in a reaction vessel in which a plasma is generated from ammonia, or a mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen, or a combination of this gas and this mixture; and maintaining the article in the plasma for a period of at least 5 minutes, while adjusting the conditions so that the average temperature of the article is settled between 500 and 900° C.
Abstract: Distortions, wherein a recording image is inclined relative to a printing plate, are removed when image data from a computer are recorded spirally in recording bands, having a predetermined band width, of a plurality of picture elements on the printing plate which is wound on a drum. Printing plate exposure apparatus comprises the printing plate being wound spirally on the drum such that an extension line of a side edge line of the printing plate is shifted a band width after one drum revolution. The printing plate exposure apparatus further includes: an exposure unit for recording the image data in the recording bands on the printing plate; a moving mechanism for moving the exposure unit by one band width along a drum axial direction relative to the drum during one revolution of the drum; and a timing mechanism for adjusting a band recording start position of the image data for each rotation of the drum so as to set a top edge line of the recording image parallel to a top edge line of the printing plate.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of forming a non-volatile memory device such as an EEPROM device. The non-volatile memory device is formed of an array of memory cells (10) organized into rows (20) and columns (22) within a semiconductor substrate (100). Each cell (10) comprises a gate structure (120) formed of a first dielectric layer (122), a floating gate (124), a second dielectric layer (126) and a control gate (128) formed in a well (50). The memory device further comprises insulating trenches (200) formed in said substrate (100) along a direction parallel to said columns (22) and isolating each cell (10) within a column (22) from other cells (10) within adjacent columns (22).
Abstract: The assembly according to the invention comprises a hard plastic watch case (2), having on its middle part one or more sealed push buttons (5) made in an inexpensive manner. Each push button (5) comprises a hard plastic stem (10), for example the same material as the case, and an elastomer flexible head (12) which is over molded onto an external surface (15) of the case. The case and the push buttons may be manufactured by injecting two materials in a single mold. The invention applies to electronic watches and to mechanical watches.
