Abstract: A method and system for correlating medical treatments with symptoms and metrics includes a process for correlating medical treatments with symptoms and metrics whereby treatment implementation data regarding what medical treatments are prescribed/recommended, and/or employed/implemented by the patient, and when and how the treatments are implemented over a given time frame, is obtained. Patient's specific treatment experience data is also collected that represents the patient's specific treatment experience with, and/or specific results from, the medical treatment over the same time frame. The patient is then provided with processed data correlating the patient's specific treatment experience data with the patient's medical treatment implementation data.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a trickle and repair application receives data from a sending computer system and trickles the data to a target computer system over an in-band communication channel. The received data is evaluated for the presence of malicious code. When malicious code is detected in the data, trickling of the data is terminated. If the infected data is repairable, the data is repaired and an out-of-band target data notification is generated and sent to the target computer system. In one embodiment, receipt of the out-of-band target data notification causes the target computer system to flush the current buffer and any local files containing the trickled data. The target computer system returns an out-of-band target acknowledgement to the trickle and repair application and the repaired data is sent to the target computer system.

Abstract: A concentrated separator by-product and fish soluble by-product based fertilizer product is created by mixing concentrated separator by-product, a by-product of the de-sugaring of beet molasses, and fish soluble by-product, a by-product of the production of fish meal. The raw mixture of concentrated separator by-product and fish soluble by-product is then heat treated and optionally filtered to remove suspended particular matter. The heat treated mixture of concentrated separator by-product and fish soluble by-product is then cooled to yield the concentrated separator by-product and fish soluble by-product based fertilizer product.
Abstract: A first patterned etch stop layer and a first patterned conductor layer are laminated by a dielectric material to a second patterned etch stop layer and a second patterned conductor layer. As the etch stop metal of the first and second patterned etch stop layers is selectively etchable compared to a conductor metal of the first and second patterned conductor layers, the first and second patterned etch stop layers provide an etch stop for substrate formation etch processes. In this manner, etching of the first and second patterned conductor layers is avoided insuring that impedance is controlled to within tight tolerance.

Abstract: Upon detection of a rootkit, a host computer system is rebooted. The boot process is interrupted. Access to a media, e.g., a volume or disk, containing the rootkit is gained and the media is directly accessed. The rootkit is disabled, e.g., renamed or deleted, and the host computer system is rebooted a second time. If the rootkit has not been previously removed, e.g., only renamed, the rootkit is removed, e.g., using a conventional antivirus application. Thus, upon detection of a rootkit, the rootkit is removed without a clean boot.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for employing automatic reply systems to detect e-mail scammer IP addresses whereby a decoy system to receive illegitimate e-mails, also known as a “honeypot” is established. E-mails sent to the honeypot decoy e-mail addresses are initially scanned and preliminarily identified as scam e-mails and the fact that the scammer must make contact with the intended user/victim is exploited by analyzing the scam e-mail to identify one or more e-mail addresses in either the header or the body of the preliminarily identified scam e-mail. The one or more identified e-mail addresses are then extracted and fabricated reply e-mails are generated that include one or more mechanisms for ascertaining the IP address of the scammer. The fabricated reply e-mails are then sent to the one or more identified e-mail addresses and when the scammer takes the necessary action, the IP address and browser information associated with scammer is obtained.
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment, a method and apparatus for linking businesses to customers through a trusted source network includes creating and providing an authenticated rating and review/referral database. The authenticated rating and review/referral database is then used as a central hub to distribute authenticated ratings and reviews to various interested parties in one or more trusted source networks and/or through one or more portals linked to existing trusted source networks.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for identifying scam e-mails using phone number analysis whereby a set of potential scam e-mail identification rules is created and data representing the potential scam e-mail identification rules is stored in a data storage device. Incoming e-mails are then scanned under the direction of one or more processors by an e-mail security system to detect phone numbers present in the incoming e-mails using one or more phone number detection parameters. Any potential phone numbers detected using the one or more phone number detection parameters are then normalized. In one embodiment, the normalized potential phone numbers are then analyzed using the potential scam e-mail identification rules to identify potential scam phone numbers. The e-mails including the identified potential scam phone numbers then have their status transformed to that of potential scam e-mails.

Abstract: During an initial scan of a journal inbox, journal reports are modified so that the Internet Message ID in the text body appears as a custom message ID value in a new custom message ID MAPI property created on the journal reports. Further, the message class value of the message class MAPI property on the journal reports is modified to a journal part. During a secondary scan of the journal inbox, related journal parts are grouped together based on the custom message ID value. Also, the message class value is modified to prevent the journal reports from being considered in subsequent initial or secondary scans. One of the journal reports of the group is selected as a master copy. A new custom related journal parts MAPI property is created on the master copy that includes a related journal parts value which is a list of identifiers that can be used to locate the other related journal parts of the group.
Abstract: A malicious driver replacement application is installed on a host computer system and registered as a boot execute application. On notification of a malicious driver detection, the malicious driver replacement application reboots the host computer system and locks the volume of a storage disk containing the malicious driver. The malicious driver is replaced directly on the storage disk with a dummy driver having innocuous code. The malicious driver replacement application reboots the host computer system, and on reboot of the host computer system, the dummy driver is loaded rather than the malicious driver thus preventing the malicious driver from interfering with the standard operating system routines and allowing the malicious driver to be remediated.

Abstract: A method and structure for creating embedded metal features includes embedded trace substrates wherein bias and signal traces are embedded in a first surface of the embedded trace substrate and extend into the body of the embedded trace substrate. The bias trace and signal trace trenches are formed into the substrate body using LASER ablation, or other ablation, techniques. Using ablation techniques to form the bias and signal trace trenches allows for extremely accurate control of the depth, width, shape, and horizontal displacement of the bias and signal trace trenches. As a result, the distance between the bias traces and the signal traces eventually formed in the trenches, and therefore the electrical properties, such as impedance and noise shielding, provided by the bias traces, can be very accurately controlled.

Abstract: A substrate for a semiconductor device and a manufacturing thereof, and a semiconductor device using the same and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. For example, in the substrate according to the present invention, a core is eliminated, so that the substrate has a very thin thickness, as well, the length of electrically conductive patterns becomes shorter, whereby the electrical efficiency thereof is improved. Moreover, since a carrier having a stiffness of a predetermined strength is bonded on the substrate, it can prevent a warpage phenomenon during the manufacturing process of the semiconductor device. Furthermore, the carrier is removed from the substrate, whereby a solder ball fusing process or an electrical connecting process of the semiconductor die can be easily performed.

Abstract: Identification of spam honeypot domains is performed automatically by a system. The system searches sources of Internet domains based on user input to identify Internet domains which are candidates for acting as a honeypot domain. The list of domains is refined by a determination unit to exclude domains which are unlikely to be useful. A domain indexer ranks the domains on the basis of a plurality of criteria which are indicative of the likelihood of a domain receiving spam communications.
