  • Patent number: 4107475
Abstract: The invention relates to a reference rectifier in a multifrequency signal receiver for obtaining a correct detection of the two signalling frequencies in an incoming voice frequency signal independently of disturbing signals of varying frequency and duration. The rectifier has a first signal path including a peak rectifier for creating a first signal level in dependence on the incoming signal level which is compared with the signal component having a frequency equal to one tone in the incoming voice frequency signal. The rectifier also has a second signal path including a mean value creating circuit which, in dependence on the incoming signal gives a second signal whose level is smaller than said first signal level.

  • Patent number: 4103149
Abstract: The invention concerns an arrangement for the supervision of a number of devices belonging to a group of devices in a telecommunication system, concerning seizure statistics, i.e. the ratio between the number of normal seizures and the total number of seizures, which devices, (relays, relay sets, registers etc) alternately are seized and released. Two counters are connected to each of the individual devices, a first counter for the registration of the total number of seizures of the device, and a second counter for the registration of the number of seizures of the device exceeding a certain minimum time. A first quotient between these numbers is periodically established for each individual device. A first adder adds the total number of seizures for each device belonging to the device group. A second adder adds the number of seizures exceeding a certain minimum time for each device in said the group. A second quotient is established between such two numbers concerning the whole device group.

  • Patent number: 4099034
Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening arrangement in a telephone instrument of the one-piece type for both the earphone capsule and the cap which cap should be fastened to the casing in order to cover the opening of the head part. The arrangement has two elements. The first element is a body which is secured to the inside of the casing in the top of the head part, and two oppositely directed tongue-formed parts. The first part, directed upwards, engages an upper collar-formed socket on the inside of the instrument cap and the second tongue-formed part contacts the upper front surface of the earphone capsule. The second element is a body with a rear projection engaging an aperture of a printed circuit card mounted inside the throat of the casing and two oppositely directed tongue-formed parts. The first of these parts contacts the lower front surface of the earphone capsule and the second engages a lower collar-formed socket on the inside of the instrument cap.

  • Patent number: 4099174
Abstract: A converter has a ladder network of resistor means for converting binary words to amplitude values according to an expansion curve. One of the transverse resistor means of the ladder network comprises a resistor chain, each terminal of which is connected through one of a set of first switches to the output of the converter. Each of the nodes of the ladder network is connected through one of a set of second switches to one reference voltage. The first and second switches are activated in response to interval- and segment-identity signals, respectively. Each conversion is carried out by generating an actual combination comprising one interval- and one segment-identity signal, and, consequently, by switching one of the first and one of the second switches.

  • Patent number: 4095734
Abstract: A metal wall, such as that of a vessel, is provided with cladding which is welded to the metal wall such that an elongated space is formed between the weld seams. The elongated space allows for the testing of the weld seams for leakproofness by closing off one end of the space and injecting a gaseous medium, or the like, into the space and gauging whether or not the medium exits via the weld seams. A plate made of rubber, plastic or the like may also be used in welding the cladding to the metal wall, which plate covers the unconnected ends of the two cladding parts making up the cladding layer for the metal wall.

  • Patent number: 4095225
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for eliminating range side lobes of a phase modulated radar pulse when compressing the same in the receiver of a radar equipment. The incoming radar pulse is inverse filtered in the receiver by means of two digital filters. After filtering in the first filter the sequence thus obtained is reversed in time and the reversed sequence is again filtered in the second filter so that it is possible to use only stable filters for the inverse filtering.

  • Patent number: 4092499
Abstract: An apparatus for detection of a tone signal having a predetermined frequency among other tone signals, includes a combined band reject-band pass filter, amplitude limiting means and a product modulator. The signals appearing across the two outputs of the filter have different phases if an input signal has a frequency equal to the tone signal frequency. The value of the phase difference is converted to a DC-component by the limiting means and the modulator, and the magnitude of the DC-component forms an indication of the desired tone signal.

  • Patent number: 4092495
Abstract: Speech synthesizing apparatus is provided in which different sounds are required for a plurality of channels. The channels are polled in turn on a cyclic scanning basis, the scan for each channel occupying a channel sampling period during which an instantaneous value is generated for the amplitude of a voiced sound component. Values representing instantaneous amplitudes of each of a plurality of unvoiced sounds are separately generated in turn during the period occupied by the scanning of all the channels and these values are stored. A selected one of the unvoiced sound values is extracted from the store as required for a particular channel during the sampling period for that channel, so that an updated value for the unvoiced sound is available on each occasion that that particular channel is sampled. The voiced and unvoiced sound values are then combined during the appropriate sampling periods. The required sound combinations are specified by parameters expressed in digital form for each channel separately.

  • Patent number: 4089702
Abstract: Particles adhering to the internal surfaces of an object are removed by conveying an explosive gas or gas mixture to the chamber defined by the surfaces, and detonating the gas or mixture. The detonation loosens the adhering particles, which are then removed from the chamber. The invention has particular application to the removal of particles from the internal surfaces of a body having a plurality of outlets communicating with the chamber.
