    Abstract: PCM words transmitted on a number of incoming and outgoing links during time slots according to a time division multiplex system are space interchanged by utilizing a circulating shift register wherein at the beginning of their allotted time slots, each of incoming PCM words is registered each in an associated shift register stage. The circulating shift register is stepped by a clock pulse so fast that each PCM word is stepped through all shift register stages during the respective time slot. Control words, each associated with one of the time slots and with one of the outgoing links, determine during which clock pulse an outgoing link is connected to the output of its associated shift register stage. A buffer memory arranged between the circulating shift register and the outgoing links re-establishes the correct time division multiplex system for the outgoing PCM words.

The sliding handle is provided on its lower surface with a mirror which is visible through an opening formed in the bottom wall of the extension when the sliding handle is in its inward or retracted position.

    Abstract: A method of bonding powdered material to a surface comprising placing at least one layer of powdered material onto a support of ductile material, positioning a surface to be coated by the powdered material in facing spaced relation with the powdered material and placing an explosive charge on the support on the surface thereof opposite the powdered material. The explosive charge is then detonated to produce acceleration of the support and the powdered material thereon towards the surface to be coated to cause impact of the powdered material with the surface to be coated and welding thereof. The detonation of the explosive charge proceeds along the length of the charge to progressively bring the powdered material into impact contact with the surface to be coated. The speed of detonation of the explosive charge is less than the speed of sound in the powdered material or support.

    Abstract: Optical receiver arranged to provide a dispersion-compensated detection of digital information transferred by a light pulse train via a fibre optic conductor, includes a registering means and a timing regenerating means connected in parallel to the fibre optic conductor via an optoelectrical converter. The registering means has a sampling terminal, an activation input that is arranged for a short activation of the sampling contact and which is connected to the timing regenerating means, and an output that is arranged for reproducing the registered digital information transferred by the light pulse train. According to the invention, the optical receiver has a decision means with a decision level determining input supplied with a control voltage obtained from the output of the registering means via a digital-to-analog converting link and is interconnected between the optoelectrical converter and the sampling contact of the registering means.

    Abstract: Apparatus for regulating the output of a system feed with a fluid medium irrespective of the instantaneous pressure in the system comprising a regulating device including an adjustable throttling connected in the inlet line of the system. A preset non-return valve is connected downstream of the throttling and a spring loaded non-return valve is connected in series with the preset non-return valve and is fitted with a leakage connection extending to a reservoir tank. A control line is connected between the pre-set non-return valve and the spring loaded non-return valve and it senses pressure drop at the throttling so that when the pressure drop reaches a predetermined value the non-return valve opens so that fluid medium is transferred and pressure in the control line increases. A central device is connected in the control line for regulating a quantity of flow to the primary line and the control device comprises a spring loaded piston actuated by increased pressure in the control line.

The sludge is applied to the carrier by the formation of a sludge bulge, which is an accumulation of sludge, in the area defined by the carrier, the third roller, and the conveying roller. The drum carrier picks up the sludge from the sludge bulge forming a film of sludge whose thickness is limited by the spacing of the third roller from the carrier.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a method for improvement of the crosstalk attenuation between adjacent channels in a time division multiplex system, for example a PCM-system. The crosstalk will have contributions from both the transmitting and the receiving side of the system. The greatest part of the crosstalk arises during the sampling times in the transmitter and the receiver, due to residual charges from the sampling of the preceding channel. In order to carry out the method a modulo-2-adder is arranged in the coder or the decoder of the PCM-system. The modulo-2-adder is inserted in the connection associated with the polarity bit of the PCM-word between a series-parallel converter and a digital-analog-converter in the decoder, or between an analog-digital-converter and a parallel-series-converter in the coder, respectively. The adder also receives signals from a clock oscillator with half the word frequency.

The interruption element interrupts the control pulses by means of the trailing edges of the disturbing pulses. While uninterrupted control pulses cause, the valuation device to generate indication signals which indicate a signal pulses.
