  • Patent number: 7644509
Abstract: A structure and process for producing an even cut for window covering horizontal slat sets includes a cutting sleeve attached at opposite ends of the slats of a window covering horizontal slat set to be cut which gather in selective ones of the slates together for cutting in a way which minimizes collective bowing and ripping of the finished surface immediately adjacent the cut ends of the slats. The cutting sleeves can be spaced to hold groupings of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or more slats. Embodiments of the cutting sleeves can have two main opposite walls or eliminate one wall in favor of a comb topography which can load from the side.

  • Patent number: 7635101
Abstract: A battery powered, automatic feed, disc type grater with a storage cover, interchangeable discs and waterproof motor gives users the ability for one touch operation and extended refrigerator storage and tap water cleaning of the components of the grater. A storage cap/container provides extended storage capability, while a ring stand enables the grater to be operated with the touch of a button while the grater is suspended over an area into which grated material may fall. A pusher assembly provides constant and automatic pressure on a material to be grated and against a grater disk, and a divider sleeve derives turning resistance for material to be grated from the pusher assembly while protecting the holder from contact with the material to be grated.

  • Patent number: 7596874
Abstract: There is provided a mechanism for use in a can opener comprising a body; rotationally mounting to the body about a first axis, a drive wheel for engaging the rim of the can; rotationally mounting to the body about a second axis and drivably rotatable by the drive wheel, a cutter wheel; eccentrically mounting to the cutter wheel, a cutting knife movable on rotation of the cutter wheel to a cutting position in which the cutting knife forms a nip with the drive wheel such that the cutting knife penetrates through the cylindrical wall of the can, and in which an electrical sensor can be used to reverse the position of the cutting wheel back to a start position and in which a mechanical sensor can be used in conjunction with a locking bar to advance the cutting wheel back to a start position.

  • Patent number: 7594280
Abstract: Eyewear member includes a structure for fitting peripherally on or around or behind lens and structure of conventional eyewear. Interfitting structure ranges from sealing segments to eyewear members which may attachably engage or simply interfit behind conventional eyewear. The eyewear members enables conventional eyewear to form a closer fit with the face of the user to protect the person's eyes from wind, water and foreign material. All embodiments contemplate selectable removabilty, replace ability and interchangeability.

  • Patent number: 7594951
Abstract: A method for extracting and concentrating copper values from copper-I leach liquors that are economically non-viable using conventional SX-EW or known conventional configurations of IX. The novel process scheme is compatible and advantageous for use with a multi-port valve CIX system, a suitable membrane separation system and a selective scrubbing technique to control iron.

  • Patent number: 7591297
Abstract: In a first embodiment, a selective adjustment cord is provided as a very thin cord is extended through a series of thin engagement apertures which lie adjacent the main lift cord openings in a horizontal blind set. A series of engagement structures themselves cannot fit through the thin engagement apertures, and the selective adjustment cord is capable of movement of a louver having an engagement structure by only about the distance between adjacent louvers. In a second embodiment a slip fitting can be placed on specified louvers such that the first amount of upward travel of the lift cord will immediately lift the slats to which the slip fitting is engaged. Further movement of the lift cord will overcome the resistance of the slip fitting and allow the blinds to be lifted normally.

  • Patent number: 7575035
Abstract: A specialized angle valence junction fitting forms a joint for connecting two lengths of valence molding. The fitting has a pair of openings angled apart and has an internal shape matching an external shape of the molding utilized. The specialized angle joint may have a color to match or accent two lengths of molding and has an external dimension which is only about 1.5 millimeters greater than the dimension of the molding which it surrounds. Valence junction fitting can have an end edge which is straight, or beveled to imply a more stabilized or substantial relationship to the molding.

  • Patent number: 7533838
Abstract: A spice mill uses one touch button control and a common driven shaft to operate a pair of oppositely disposed grinding mills simultaneously. In environments which are more sophisticated and formal, the users will know which spice will be dispensed through the slightly smaller end and which spice will be dispensed through the slightly larger end, and without having to label the dispenser. In addition, the one touch button is large and easily accessible by almost any finger of the hand used to hold the center section.

  • Patent number: 7508141
Abstract: A sculptable, decorative light system includes a number of modules of differing lengths which can respond to commands either in parallel or time delay to create pre-selected light colors and sequences. Three miniature connectors are used to create a direct current fed system which has the potential to even out a current demand. Interconnectable lamp modules are provided in sets of 1, 2, 3, 4, and more lengths to create decorative light displays. Each lamp module or string of modules may include a male/plug end and a female/receptacle end.
