Abstract: A support padding for use on a human joint including an outer layer having a shape conforming to the shape of the human joint, a resilient member layer positioned adjacent to the outer layer and extending around an interior of the outer layer, a packing layer positioned adjacent to the resilient member layer and extending around an interior of the resilient member layer, and an interior layer affixed to the packing layer so as to define a cavity for receiving the human joint therein. The human joint can be either a shoulder, an ankle, a knee, a spine or a neck. A deformable member can be affixed to the packing layer opposite the resilient member layer for conforming to a contour of the human joint upon pressure applied to the surface of the human joint thereto.
Abstract: A bolster for use in construction having a plurality of leg members arranged in generally parallel spaced relationship to each other, a beam integrally formed with the plurality of leg members and extending transversely across the leg members, a first plate affixed to one side of the plurality of leg members and a second plate affixed to an opposite side of the plurality of leg members. Each of the plates has a generally flat bottom surface. A clip is provided on the plates for fixedly attaching the plates to respective feet of the leg members.
Abstract: The invention relates to a dashboard (1), designed to be mounted in the passenger compartment of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, including one or more fittings (2) and at least one member (8) for supporting said fitting or fittings (2), the latter having at least a first portion (9) secured to said supporting member or members (8) and a second portion (10), or socalled free portion, designed to be emerge and/or project from the passenger compartment. According to the invention, said dashboard further includes means (12) for positioning said free portion (10) of said fitting or fittings (2) in relation to said supporting member or members (8). The invention also relates to body for a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, including such a dashboard.

Abstract: A method of deploying a communications cable below the surface of the body of water includes loading the cable around a reel within a housing, lowering the housing and the reel into the body of water, retrieving the connector of the cable from the housing, moving the connector and the attached cable to a position away from the housing, and connecting the connector to a subsea communications connection. An umbilical line is extended over a crane structure extending over the side of an offshore structure. The umbilical line is electronically connected to the communications cable. A remotely operated vehicle or a diver will intercept the connector and deliver the connector to the subsea communications connection.
Abstract: A bolster for use in construction having a plurality of leg members arranged in generally parallel spaced relationship, a beam integrally formed with the plurality of leg members and extending transversely across the plurality of leg members, and a plate affixed to the bottom of the plurality of leg members and having a generally flat bottom surface. The plate has at least one clip formed on a top surface thereof for fixedly receiving a foot associated with at least one of the leg members.
Abstract: Removable universal tool-holder for mounting on a straddling vineyard tractor for agricultural work in tree or shrub plantations includes a main coupling chassis constructed so that it can be mounted, in a removable manner, on a straddling vineyard tractor; two secondary coupling chassis, each provided with a universal three-point hitch system; mechanisms connecting each secondary coupling chassis to the main coupling chassis; and mechanisms that make it possible to move each secondary coupling chassis in a vertical or approximately vertical plane and, preferably, in a horizontal or approximately horizontal plane. It is understood that the universal tool-holder can support machines constructed to accomplish cultivation or treatment work such as: hoeing, mowing, plowing, harrowing, spraying, thinning out leaves, pruning, lopping, etc.
Abstract: A removable inner barrel apparatus has a rifle with barrel extending therefrom, an inner barrel having an end through which ammunition can exit, a pressure nut removably fastening the barrel of the rifle to the inner barrel, and a compression spring positioned within the pressure nut. The inner barrel has a grooved hollow interior and a bushing affixed adjacent to an opposite end thereof. The compression spring urges against a surface of the bushing so as to urge the bushing against the end of the inner barrel.
Abstract: A golf bag includes a bag body, a top seat, a bottom seat, an arresting seat, a pivoting mount, two pivoting arms, two support rods, a link unit, a retaining piece, and a locating block. The bag body is tilted by the two support rods in conjunction with the arresting seat. The support rods are fastened to the pivoting arms which are pivoted with the pivoting mount in such a manner that the support rods are securely located at such time when the support rods are at work to support the bag body in the slanting position. The locating block is provided with two locating recesses for locating securely the bottom ends of the support rods at such time when the bag body is kept in the upright position, thereby preventing the support rods from swaying.
Abstract: A coupler member for use with precast concrete segmental structures having a first duct, a first coupler member extending over and around an exterior surface of the first duct and having a seat opening adjacent an end of the first duct, a second duct, a second coupler member extending over and around an exterior surface of the second duct and a seat opening adjacent to an end of the second duct, and gasket received in the seats of the first and second coupler members. An external seal is affixed to an opposite end of the first coupler member and affixed to an exterior surface of the first duct. The seats of the first and second coupler members have slots facing one another. The gasket is received within these slots. The gasket has a tapered outer surface suitable for liquid-tight abutment against an inner surface of one of the slots.
Abstract: A post-tension anchor system including a first tendon, a second tendon, a first anchor receiving the first tendon therein, a second anchor receiving the second tendon therein, a coupler extending over the first anchor and secured to the second anchor such that the first tendon extends through a hole in the coupler, and a cover extending over an exterior surface of the coupler so as to be engaged with the second anchor in liquid-tight relationship. The cover is an encapsulation formed in liquid-tight sealing relationship over an exterior surface of the coupler. The second anchor includes a barrel anchor and encapsulated anchor.
Abstract: A security disposition against fire applicable for delaying, retaining, controlling and extinguishing the action of fire by means of moisture, with water as its basic extinguishing element. It consists of a part that is made of metal or any other material with identical resistance, upon which water distribution pipes are placed, and is equipped with distributors that have access to the partition or similar construction. The distribution pipes are joined by connecting piping, which at the same time is connected to a supply pipe. On the connecting piping, between the supply pipe and the distribution pipes, is an open/close electrovalve that is activated by conventional fire detecting methods, temperature or smoke, in addition to a purge valve that is activated manually.
Abstract: A glove having a body portion of elastomeric material, a plurality of digit portions integrally formed with the body portion and extending outwardly therefrom, and a thumb portion extending outwardly on one edge of the bottom portion. A flexion is formed in the body portion and extends only partially around the root area of the thumb and onto the palm side and the backhand side of the body portion. The flexion is integrally formed with the body portion and has an area projecting outwardly of a surface of a body portion.
Abstract: A cover for a musical instrument, especially but not exclusively a drum, includes a portion formed by inner and outer sheets fastened together to define a pocket that is padded with a desiccating material. Preferably, the inner and outer sheets are quilted to define a plurality of pockets, each of which is tightly stuffed with a granular form of desiccating material. In this way, the cover provides protection for the instrument and also assists in keeping the instrument in tune by removing moisture from air trapped between the instrument and the portion defining the pockets.
