  • Patent number: 4574417
Abstract: A horizontally elongated body is provided having opposite end portions and top and bottom sides. A pair of blade members are provided and blade support structure is supported from opposite end portions of the body and removably support the blade members therefrom with the blade members oppositely inclined downwardly and outwardly from the body opposite end portions. The blade members include bevelled end surfaces which are substantially coplanar and horizontally disposed. The blade members are subtantially rigid, but slightly flexive. The blade members extend beyond the body ends and sides to facilitate maximum working potential to perpendicular abutments and parallel objects. Also, the blade members, notwithstanding the body, are angled convergently upward toward each other from the work surface. It is this bi-angular blade concept that enables the scraper to function as a unit on a work surface.

  • Patent number: 4575670
Abstract: A bank of storage batteries is maintained in a fully charged state by a charging circuit coupled by a controlled, battery energized inverter to AC load lines to which the charging circuit and an AC source are connected. Charging current is controlled in accordance with the load current in the load lines through the primary windings of transformers in the charging circuit and applied to the batteries at a voltage level slightly higher than the full standby battery voltage. Application of full battery voltage to the AC load lines is delayed during a timed start-up period.

  • Patent number: 4573415
Abstract: A stand, table or other supporting structure having one or more supporting leg assemblies connected thereto in such a manner that the leg assemblies can be collapsed into a compact condition to facilitate storage, transportation and handling of the stand, table or other supporting structure. The leg assemblies are retained in their operative position substantially perpendicular to and rigid with respect to the stand to provide a stable support for the stand and for any item or items placed thereon. The leg assemblies are retained releasably in their operative position by a manually operated spring lock device that is provided with a camming feature which enables automatic locking of the leg assembly when oriented into operative position and maintaining a continuous upward bias on the leg assembly for maintaining the rigid perpendicularity of the leg assembly in relation to the stand.

  • Patent number: 4571297
Abstract: A closed container of liquid is provided and operatively associated with a reservoir of water in a manner such that each time an intermittently actuated pump is actuated to pump water from the reservoir a predetermined amount of liquid is pumped from the container into the reservoir. The container has a bladder disposed therein and an outlet, separate from the bladder, for liquid to flow from within the container, exteriorly of the bladder, to the reservoir. The bladder includes an inlet and a water dispensing structure is operatively associated with the discharge line from the pump to dispense a predetermined amount of water from the discharge line of the pump into the bladder each time the pump is actuated, thereby causing an equal amount of liquid to be displaced from within the container exteriorly of the bladder into the reservoir.
