Abstract: A utility line guide chute disposed behind a plow for installing multiple utility lines. Divider members disposed between guide chute-side walls are provided for guiding the multiple utility lines in the top of the guide and out a lower rearward portion of the guide whereby utility lines can be laid into the ground at predetermined depths in vertically spaced relationships with respect to each other as the plow and guide chute move forward. A sidewall of the guide chute is composed of separate parts, the shape of respective ones of said separate parts corresponding at least in part to the position of each of more than one respective utility line within the guide whereby the separate parts of the second wall can be selectively removed to facilitate removal of selected ones of the utility lines without removing other ones of the utility lines.

Abstract: A method for transmitting mechanical energy between a transfer piston of a Stirling machine and a moveable member of a generator or of an electric motor. A subject of this invention is also a device for implementing this method. The replacing of the driving piston by a completely static pneumatic resonator makes it possible not only to considerably simplify the device, since this method makes it possible to dispense with the driving piston, but also to facilitate the servocontrol as will be explained subsequently. This signifies that not only does the invention make it possible to substantially simplify the device and to reduce the production costs thereof, but also that the reliability of the device is thereby increased. However, for such a device to have an economical benefit, not only must it be possible to produce it at a competitive price, but it must also be capable of operating for many years without requiring any servicing or adjustment.
Abstract: The present invention has several aspects to it, one of which is the provision of a chisel point which is straight and tapered from its thinnest part at the extreme front to a thicker part at the rear thereof for causing a sweep to wear longer than prior art sweeps. This sweep also improves soil penetration and is self-sharpening. Another aspect of the present invention is to provide an earth working sweep having a front end, a right side, a left side, and a central upper portion for connecting the sweep to an implement. It also has a right rear wing portion and a left rear wing portion with an intermediate portion connecting the front end to the central upper rear portion and the left and right rear wing portions. A right edge and a left edge have concave edges on the front and convex edges on the back so as to form a somewhat S-shaped configuration which reduces scrap when being made and adds to the longevity and performance of the sweep.

Abstract: Accurate and effective antisurge control for turbocompressor stages is augmented by measuring the flow rate of fluid entering or leaving the stage of compression. On the other hand, turbocompressors with sidestreams, such as ethylene, propylene, and propane refrigeration compressors, pose unique antisurge control challenges; in particular, measurements for the flow rate entering (or leaving) the compressors' middle stages are not available in most cases. Furthermore, the methods used to cope with this lack of flow measurements are prone to introducing errors and producing false transients, as well as being cumbersome and difficult to implement. For these reasons, this disclosure relates to a method for protecting turbocompressors with sidestreams from the damaging effects of surge.
