  • Patent number: 8004129
Abstract: The aim is to avoid damaging lubricating-film discharges occurring via bearings (WL) in electrical machines. For this reason, provision is made for a current to be forced to flow through the bearing (WL) specifically, with the aid of a current source (IQ). The current then flows from one of the two bearing components via the lubricating film to the other bearing component. Alternating currents are particularly suitable since the lubricating film is conductive, so that the capacitance defined by the lubricating film cannot be charged, or can be charged only slightly.

  • Patent number: 7997431
Abstract: An assembly has a mechanically movable element (1), by the movement of which an oscillatory system (2) can be excited to perform an oscillation which has a resonant frequency (f) and a corresponding oscillatory period (T). First of all, a control device (4) moves the mechanically movable element (1) at a first speed (v1). If the control device (4) is stipulated a second speed (v2) by an operator (7), the control device (4) determines a jolt profile, by means of which the speed (v) of the mechanically movable element (1) is changed to the second speed (v2), and moves the mechanically movable element (1) according to the determined jolt profile. Said control device (4) determines the jolt profile in such a way that an oscillation of the oscillatory system (2) which is excited at the beginning of the speed change is calmed at the end of the speed change.

  • Patent number: 7988942
Abstract: A method for recovering diluted waste sulfuric acid by extractive rectification with concentrated sulfuric acid which is re-concentrated for reutilization. Waste sulfuric acid from the nitration process is fed into a first column, optionally together with another waste sulfuric acid in a DNT washing acid, and divided into an overhead product containing nitric acid and nitro-organic compounds and a prepurified sulfuric acid in the bottom product. The prepurified sulfuric acid withdrawn from the bottom of the first column is fed to the top of a second column, into the bottom zone of which another waste sulfuric acid is fed in the form of a diluted sulfuric acid recovered from the nitric acid concentration system so the prepurified sulfuric acid from the first column is further purified in the second column and is preconcentrated along with the diluted sulfuric acid recovered from the extractive rectification of nitric acid.

  • Patent number: 7980885
Abstract: A plug assembly with strain relief includes a housing and a clamping basket which has radially movable clamping fingers. The clamping basket defines an axis and is constructed to allow insertion of a cable into the housing in a direction of the axis. A rotary sleeve is supported on the housing for rotation but substantially fixed in an axial position with respect to the housing. The rotary sleeve is hereby configured to move an element (e.g. the clamping basket itself, or a pinch ring) in the axial direction, when rotated, to thereby modify a radial position of the clamping fingers.

  • Patent number: 7981332
Abstract: In a method for producing a composite, a carrier component is placed into an opened cavity of a mold. The mold is then closed to a predetermined position, thereby creating a cavity of a first expanded size. To improve venting, a vacuum is generated in the expanded cavity before filling the expanded cavity with a flooding material. A compression step is then executed either at the same time as flooding material is introduced or following the introduction of the flooding material.

  • Patent number: 7980108
Abstract: A bending device for a tubular member includes a bending tool which is rotatable about an axis. The bending tool includes a circumferential recess and is split transversely to the axis to form a first tool member and a second tool member. Extending tangentially to the recess and partly embracing the tubular member is a plate-shaped wiper die which has a receiving channel. A non-rotatable disc-shaped support tab is securely fixed to the wiper die and projects between the first and second tool members. The support tab has a circumferential cradle which is configured to match a contour of the tubular member and to merge into the receiving channel of the wiper die in a tangential and smooth manner. An outer clamping jaw is jointly pivotable with the bending tool, and a trough-shaped resistance member is placed in opposition to the wiper die and movable longitudinally along the receiving channel.

  • Patent number: 7973436
Abstract: In the field of electrical linear motors, it is known to make more than one laminate core (20) having teeth (22), wherein grooves (24) are designed between the teeth (22). Until now, coils assigned to the laminate core are arranged on each laminate core. The invention is based on this background. Instead, each coil (18) is arranged with a first section in a groove (24) of a first laminate core (20a) and with a second section in a groove (24) of a second laminate core (20b). The coils are consequently wound in an entirely different direction and now lie in a plane perpendicular to the direction of movement of the secondary part of the electrical linear motor.
