Abstract: A modular watch collar capable of multipositional use is disclosed herein. A detachable modular base plugs into a watchband holder in a variety of positions, and depending on the plug position, the modular base permits the modular watch collar to be free-standing or to fit into a channel or groove located on a wall or display at any angle. A modular sign holder attachment plugs into the modular watch collar and is positionable at a variety of locations thereon.
Abstract: A system for controlling vehicles and pedestrians on intersecting one-way roadways. Vehicles on a first one-way street are only allowed, with a "go" signal to either cross the intersection and continue on the street or to turn onto the intersecting one-way street. The vehicles on the intersecting, second one-way street are stopped while vehicles on the first street are moving. During this time pedestrians are allowed to cross in front of the stopped vehicles on the second one-way street. Then, when the light changes, the vehicle traffic on the second one-way street are only allowed to turn onto the first one-way street, i.e., they are blocked from crossing the intersection and continuing onto the second one-way street. During this time, the vehicles on the first one-way street are blocked, too, from entering the intersection.
Abstract: A breathing device for tracheotomy patients, comprising a holder (12) detachably connected to the outer end of a tracheal cannula (11) or to a stoma in the patient's throat, the holder holding detachably a regenerative heat-moisture exchanger (14). The holder (12) is an air-proof receptacle having a first opening (12a) communicating with the outer end (11b) of the tracheal cannula (11) or with the stoma in the throat and a second opening (12b) situated opposite the first opening. The heat-moisture exchanger (14), which is provided with a filter body (16), sealingly engages with the edges of the second opening.
Abstract: A watch is constructed with a front transparent dial face for displaying the time, such as a liquid crystal, a rear watch mechanism for controlling the display of visually perceptive indicia of the time in the transparent dial face, and an interior hollow compartment located between the front transparent dial face and rear watch mechanism. A visual display of the user's choice, such as a photograph, can be inserted by the user into the compartment in juxtaposed relation to the transparent dial face and is observable to the eye through the transparent dial face simultaneously with the time display. The visual display can be inserted into the compartment by itself, or can be positioned on a plate or tray and then slid or pivoted into the compartment. Means are provided to secure the visual display in place after insertion into the compartment.
Abstract: A glove construction is disclosed wherein a die cut trank is provided with mirror symmetrical body portions having integral upwardly extending finger stall forming portions adapted to be secured together with a fourchette therebetween. The glove is provided with reinforcing means for inhibiting the formation of runs in the body portions, said reinforcing means being applied to the finger stall forming portions adjacent the peripheral edge thereof in the crotch region of the glove, the reinforcing means being U-shaped, with the legs of the U being positioned in adjacent finger stalls and the base of the U being in the crotch between the two adjacent finger stalls. In the preferred embodiment the reinforcing means comprise merrow stitching applied to the edge of the finger stall forming portions in the U-shaped form. In another embodiment the reinforcing means comprise a top stitch extending in substantially parallel spaced relation with the edge of the finger stall forming portions.
Abstract: An article of wearing apparel adapted to have releasably secured thereto an ornamental element. There is provided fastener means having a pair of complementary fastener portions adapted to be selectively engageable or disengageable for securing or releasing said fastener portions, respectively. One of said fastener portions is secured to the inside of said article of wearing apparel and the other of said fastener portions is adapted to be secured to said ornamental element. In this way any selected one of a plurality of ornamental elements provided with said other of said fastener portions is adapted to be releasably secured to the article of wearing apparel to form a combination which simulates an article of wearing apparel having an ornamental element permanently secured thereto by stitching.
