Abstract: A method for generating a trick replay video stream, including the steps of: selecting from stored data adapted for transmission as a streamed movie a sequence of Intracoded frames (I-frames), and inserting one or more difference frames between consecutive I-frames of the sequence to form the trick replay video stream. Each of the difference frames is constructed to have a zero difference with respect to a preceding I-frame in the sequence. The method further includes transmitting the trick replay video stream to a decoder for display of the streamed movie at an enhanced perceived rate.

Abstract: A method for displaying information includes identifying computer-readable service code at a service site, which code, when read by a client computer via a network, causes the computer to display at least one service page containing service information. Some service code is selected for inclusion in a service component containing at least some service information that corresponds to the selected code. A pointer is generated, indicating a location at which the service component is accessible to a remotely located client computer via the network, allowing the client computer to display a host page containing host information. An invocation of the pointer by the client computer is received at the location when the client computer accesses the host page. The selected service code is then conveyed to the client computer, such that responsive to the selected service code, the client computer displays the service component on the host page.

Abstract: An antenna having multiple antenna elements of unequal lengths, form in a conical shape. The longest antenna element has a trap in a specific location of the antenna element. Multiple traps can be used for extended coverage depending upon the frequency band. The antenna elements are connected together through a transversal-wire ring and a feed transmission line is attached to it. The antenna occupies minimal footprint in the horizontal direction and maintains a low VSWR and a uniform beam pattern over a wide frequency band, more than 1:20. The antenna has a constant radiation pattern over a 1:6 bandwidth and the pattern bandwidth may be increased using more antenna elements and traps. The elevation and azimuth patterns show a consistent characteristic from 100 MHz to 600 MHz.

Abstract: A handheld firearm which is in the form of a self-loading pistol with a bolt lock, having two operating levers which can pivot and each have a handle for operation of the bolt lock, with the operating levers being arranged on mutually opposite sides of the handheld firearm and, when the handheld firearm is in the in-use state, being connected to one another via a pivoting shaft such that they cannot rotate with respect to one another, and at least sections of the operating levers being arranged in the interior of the handheld firearm.

Abstract: The coupling of a sewer treatment station to a treatment plant for the flocculation and flotation of water streams and the insertion of said treatment plant for the flocculation and flotation of water streams into a water treatment station. The sewer treatment station is installed upstream from the flocculation and flotation treatment station, in such a way that the outlet of said station is directly connected to the inlet of the flocculation and flotation treatment plant disposed next to the stream bed or next to and interconnected thereto by means of a varying flow canal. The insertion has dynamic introduction of the process of treatment for the flocculation and flotation of fluid beds, all in a closed canal, wherein the flow of secondary streams (E) is dynamically and continuously submitted to flocculation and flotation techniques in an induced flow canal (FE) in the water treatment station.

Abstract: A downward mechanism for support pins is applicable to a reactor of removable type. Support pins are located on the base of the reactor, and each support pin has a base thereunder. The downward mechanism has an elevator mechanism and a board fixed thereto. The board has several holes for the pin and the base to pass respectively therethrough. Each hole elongates into a slit allowing each of the support pins, only, to pass respectively therethrough.

Abstract: Proposed is a luminaire, with a housing and a luminous means receptacle for fitting a luminous means in the housing, in which the luminous means receptacle is connected to the housing via a bearing means which is suitable for altering the position of the luminous means receptacle with respect to the housing, with the result that the luminous means can be replaced in a convenient manner. An advantageous method for changing a luminous means is also provided.

In use, the apparatus (1) is positioned below one or more aerial cables (53), the chain lever block (5) is used to raise the first telescopic member (3), the first telescopic member (3) extends from within the housing (2), the second telescopic member (4) extends from within the first telescopic member (3), and cable-engaging member (51) raises the cable/s (53).

The seat can be maneuvered outwards into the open air from a multistory building by means of a guiding device through an opening in the walls of the building.

Abstract: A testing harness for a design-under-test is modified to include a standalone implementation of an application programming interface used in developing the design-under-test. The standalone implementation is adapted to a target device, and is packaged with an executable application or MIDlet, together with any needed resource files. Either the package, or optionally a JAR and JAD file, is downloaded to a remote user for execution on the target device. Using the application programming interface and the other downloaded files, the remote user can test the target device, analyze the results, and even modify the test conditions without recourse to the testing harness. The arrangement provides a capability for a party who is not privileged to know details of the testing harness to practically evaluate and modify the design-under-test using a standalone testing application.
