  • Patent number: 5403105
Abstract: The present invention relates to a toothbrush with a detachable dentifrice dispenser assembly. The brush includes a head portion with a centrally located aperture. The aperture communicates with a corresponding aperture located within the detachable dentifrice dispenser. The dispenser is adapted to be removably secured on the bottom surface of the toothbrush. In alternate embodiments, a plunger assembly is located in association with the dispenser to facilitate the dispensing of the dentifrice through the aperture in the head portion and into the bristles of the brush. Alternatively, the dispenser assembly can be removed and dentifrice can be delivered directly from the container through the head aperture and into the bristles of brush.

  • Patent number: 5400937
Abstract: A device for the hands-free carrying of skis and ski poles. The device comprises a carrying strap having a first and second end, and a length adapted to fit around a person. The carrying strap has securement means at the ends adapted to receive and hold the carrying strap in a closed loop configuration around the person. A pouch has an open end and a closed end. The pouch couples the carrying strap with the open end facing upwards. The pouch is adapted to hold the ends of skis and ends of ski poles. A plurality of ski straps have first and second ends and an intermediate portion therebetween with a length adapted to fit around a plurality of skis. The intermediate portion of each ski strap is coupled to the carrying strap. Each ski strap further has a securement member at the first and second ends adapted to receive and hold the ski straps in a closed loop configuration around skis that are inserted into the open end of the pouch.

  • Patent number: 5400538
Abstract: A trigger lock for firearms wherein a pair of discs loosely connected together by a flexible band are adapted to be positioned one on each side of the trigger guard of a firearm. When pushed towards each other, a pair of tapered spring detent arms fixed to the internal face of the first of said discs engage in a pair of apertures in the second of said discs from which they may be disengaged by finger pressure. A central hocking pin positioned centrally on the second of said discs engages with a central tumblered locking receptacle positioned centrally on the internal face of the first of said discs and locks into place therein. The external face of the first of said discs carries a circularly arranged set of numbers, e.g. 1 through 8, and a knob mounted on the outer end of the central locking receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5400542
Abstract: A flexible fishing bait assembly for catching fish with a rod, reel and line comprising a support rod configured with an eyelet in a central extent thereof for coupling to a fishing line. The support rod has a first extent continuing linearly as an extension of the first end of the eyelet, a hook coupled to the end and a fish-attracting member molded over the region of coupling between the loop and the hook. The support rod also includes a second extent extending away from the first extent from the second end of the eyelet. The support rod is fabricated of a plurality of discrete strands of carbon steel in a spiral configuration to allow for flexing of the support rod when pulled in one direction by a fish on the hook and in the other direction by a fisherman. Fish-attracting components are coupled to the second extent of the support rod.

  • Patent number: 5399149
Abstract: A knee hinge with selectively limited motion which optionally limits an available flexion range of a user's knee to approximately 24 degrees so that a user will not fall should the user buckle at the knees. The hinge may be released to provide for a greater range of knee flexion which will allow a user to sit down in a conventional manner. The approximately 24 degree limit of the flexion range is automatically re-engaged when the user's knee is straightened. The hinge provides a spring mechanism for assisting weak knee muscles. The hinge also allows a small degree of knee hyperextension for the purpose of allowing the user to assume and maintain a safe standing position.
