  • Patent number: 5152837
Abstract: Described is the process for forming a hardenable mixture of a coal ash comprising free CaO and free CaSO.sub.4.0 H.sub.2 O.In order to remove all free CaO the coal ash is mixed with a fly-ash comprising essentially no free CaO and no free CaSO.sub.4.0 H.sub.2 O and water and subsequently subjected to a heat treatment.By removal of free CaO it is found that the strength of hardened granules formed from such ash mixture does not deteriorate as is the case from granules formed with a coal ash comprising free CaO.Also a process for forming hardened granules and a building component formed with use of a hardenable mixture according to the invention are described.

  • Patent number: 5152715
Abstract: In a separating device, the heart, lungs and liver are separated from the viscera of a slaughtered bird by conveying these organs, including the gall-bladder, connected to the bird, essentially parallel to the path of the bird with a helical roller. First the heart and lungs are separated from the liver by cutting through the tissue connecting the heart and lungs, and the liver. Next, the liver is separated from the remainder of the viscera by increasing the distance between the liver and the gall-bladder, and cutting through the tissue connecting the liver and the gall-bladder.

  • Patent number: 5122190
Abstract: A method for producing a hydraulic binder using partially calcined raw meal entrained in the kiln off gases. The raw meal flow form the lowermost cyclone is interrupted at or near the junction of the meal chute, kiln inlet and riser duct. This flow interruption causes turbulence in the partially calcined meal facilitating dust entrainment in the gas. The splash plate can be selectively adjusted to entrain more or less raw meal. The entrained meal is drawn off from the riser duct through a kiln bypass duct, processed and hydrated to convert the calcium oxide in the meal to calcium hydroxide.

  • Patent number: 5113797
Abstract: A poultry feeding device comprises an essentially dish-shaped pan, the bottom of which is provided with an upright part. A drop tube for the supply of feed can be moved over a limited, variable distance relative to the bottom of the pan to form a first feed supply opening of variable size. The drop tube has one or more second feed supply openings. In the bottom position of the drop tube the first feed supply opening is closed and the second feed supply opening(s) are opened, and in the top position of the drop tube this is reversed. The upright part of the bottom of the pan extends in the drop tube, and in the bottom position of the drop tube the top side of the upright part reaches to the second feed supply opening(s) and at that point shuts off the drop tube.
