  • Patent number: 7733316
Abstract: A display device with high productivity and high display quality and a driving method thereof are provided by suppressing generation of a luminescent spot. A first switching element and a second switching element each of which has a different polarity are disposed in series between a power source line for supplying power to a light-emitting element and a power source line having a potential which is equal to or lower than a threshold voltage of the light-emitting element; one electrode of the light-emitting element is connected to a connecting node of the two switching elements; and in the case where a potential which is equal to or higher than the threshold voltage of the light-emitting element is applied to the light-emitting element regardless of an on/off state of the first switching element, a potential applied to the light-emitting element is set to be lower than the threshold voltage by turning the second switching element on. Thus, generation of a luminescent spot is prevented.

  • Patent number: 7732824
Abstract: Failure light emission of an EL element due to failure film formation of an organic EL material in an electrode hole 46 is improved. By forming the organic EL material after embedding an insulator in an electrode hole 46 on a pixel electrode and forming a protective portion 41b, failure film formation in the electrode hole 46 can be prevented. This can prevent concentration of electric current due to a short circuit between a cathode and an anode of the EL element, and can prevent failure light emission of an EL layer.

  • Patent number: 7730700
Abstract: The invention is a combination of a short ground sensor arm mounted close to the cutter bar and a longer rod mounted towards the rear of the header. The short front sensor and long rear sensor are connected by a linkage which translates motions from either sensor to the other sensor. A second linkage translates the motions of both sensors rearward to a protected area under the header which contains the potentiometer. This configuration transmits useful ground position signals to the header height controller in both low and high cutting heights. The invention advantageously reduces the likelihood of damage to the short front sensor when the machine is reversed since the longer rear sensor arm pulls the shorter forward sensor arm up by means of the linkage to a position where damage is unlikely.

  • Patent number: 7728513
Abstract: It is a problem to provide an electric apparatus less in consumption power and long in life by the manufacture using the display device. An insulating bank is provided in a form surrounding the pixel portions on first electrodes over a substrate. The entire surface is applied, by a wet scheme (method), with an organic conductive film which has a thickness form of T2>T1>T3> under the influence of the insulating bank. Accordingly, the portion T3 has an increased resistance in a lateral direction, making possible to prevent against crosstalk. Due to a conductive polymer as a buffer layer, a display device can be provided which is low in drive voltage. Furthermore, because the portion T2 is increased in thickness, the electric-field concentration is relaxed at and around the pixel portion. This makes it possible to prevent the organic light-emitting element from deteriorating at around the pixel.
