Patent number: 7261644Abstract: A golf club putter head includes a faceplate groove pattern configured to provide the putter head with an elevated center of gravity. In one preferred form, a club head body defines a faceplate having at least one and preferably multiple elongated grooves formed therein to extend generally in a heel-to-toe direction, with at least one groove positioned above a vertical mid-point of the club head body. The groove depths progressively increase in a top-to-bottom direction so that the putter head center of gravity is elevated to a position spaced above the vertical mid-point of the club head body. When striking a golf ball, the elevated center of gravity functions to minimize initial ball skidding and to promote early smooth ball roll toward a target such as a cup on a golf green.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2005Date of Patent: August 28, 2007Assignee: BGI Acquisition, LLCInventor: Bruce D. Patent number: 7256364Abstract: A method for simultaneously brazing adjacent conductor joints comprises the steps of arranging at least two pair of conductor joints in a row placing a brazing compound between the pairs of joints desired to be electrically connected placing a conductive spacer between the pairs not to be brazed and passing an electrical current through the row of conductors until the brazing compound melts joining the conductor joints. The spacer can then be removed thereby maintaining the proper spacing between the pairs of brazed conductor joints. The multiple rows of conductor joints can be arranged adjacent one another so that they can be moved between brazing electrodes sequentially thereby allowing a continuous brazing operation of multiple rows of conductor joints. The brazing compound may be a continuous ribbon of brazing compound which extends between the multiple rows of conductor joints.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2004Date of Patent: August 14, 2007Assignee: Remy International, Inc.Inventors: Ronald Gentry, Richard A. Patent number: 7243864Abstract: A radio controlled liquid monitor, capable of rotation about a vertical axis through an infinite arc is disclosed. A rotatable body is rotatably mounted onto a base element for rotation about a vertical axis, and a discharge elbow is rotatably mounted on the rotatable body for rotation about a horizontal axis. A horizontal drive unit and a vertical drive unit operate on gears on the rotatable body and the elbow, to enable the rotatable body to rotate about a vertical axis, and the discharge elbow to rotate about a horizontal axis. A control module is attached to the rotatable body which receives radio control commands from an operator via a portable transmitter apparatus or a fixed transmitter apparatus. The control module and drive unit receive electrical power and control signals through a rotating connector positioned within the base element and rotatable body so that the control module and drive units receive electrical power and control signals regardless of the rotational position of the rotatable body.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2005Date of Patent: July 17, 2007Assignee: Elkhart Brass Mfg. Patent number: 7244748Abstract: The invention provides novel pyridines, pharmaceutical compositions comprising such pyridines, and the use of such compositions in treating injured mammalian nerve tissue, including but not limited to an injured spinal cord. In one embodiment, the compounds, compositions, and methods of the instant invention treat a mammalian nerve tissue injury by restoring action potential or nerve impulse conduction through a nerve tissue lesion. Significantly, in vivo application of compounds of the instant invention established, on the basis of SSEP testing, that the compounds provide longer lasting effects at lower concentrations than comparable treatment with the known agent 4-aminopyridine (4 AP).Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2003Date of Patent: July 17, 2007Assignee: Purdue Research FoundationInventors: Richard B. Patent number: 7220329Abstract: An apparatus and method for applying reference or grid markings to wallboard during the manufacturing process is disclosed. Reference or grid markings are applied to one sheet of cover paper at a location between the originating cover paper rolls and the cover paper creaser or creasers. This is accomplished by locating and aligning multiple print heads across the width of the continuously passing cover paper, such that markings are ejected onto the cover paper in a specific and coordinated fashion. In addition to using any suitable commercially-available computer equipment to coordinate printer head activity, this function is accomplished by attaching each print head to a common horizontal support element and provide individual adjustments that are perpendicular to, and with the directional flow of the passing cover paper.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2003Date of Patent: May 22, 2007Assignee: National Gypsum Properties, LLCInventors: William R Fox, Jr., Melissa S Merfeld

Patent number: 7163632Abstract: A fluid treatment system and method for dissolving a gas into a fluid and subsequently allowing microbial or chemical reactions with the fluid mixture to decontaminate the fluid. The system comprises a pressurized gas transfer reactor, a depressurization device, a means of rapid dilution, a reactor, and a means of secondary clarification. Gas is dissolved into a fluid within the pressurized gas transfer reactor. The fluid is then transferred to the depressurization device where it is depressurized and diluted. Thereafter, or concurrently, the fluid flows into the reactor where microbes consume contaminants and dissolved gas within the fluid. The decontaminated fluid then either flows into a secondary clarification tank or membrane system where the bacteria within the decontaminated fluid are removed, or the fluid is recycled through the system. The method of present invention utilizes the system of present invention and operates pumps and a regenerative turbine or throttling valve.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2006Date of Patent: January 16, 2007Inventor: Richard E. Patent number: 7145259Abstract: A power module is connected to the starter, alternator, and battery for an internal combustion engine. The power module includes one or more capacitors and delay timer. When the ignition switch closes, the battery of the starting system provides current to the starter motor, causing the starter solenoid to close the starter contacts, and bring a starter pinion gear into engagement with a flywheel ring gear. The delay timer does not allow the capacitor to immediately deliver current to the starter motor, but implements a short delay before the capacitor's current is released to the starter motor. This short delay increases the chance for full engagement between the starter pinion and the flywheel ring gear, thereby reducing the likelihood of milling when the starter motor provides torque to the starter pinion.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2004Date of Patent: December 5, 2006Assignee: Remy Inc.Inventors: James A. Spellman, David A. Fulton, Ralph H. Johnston
