Abstract: Power source longevity monitor for an implantable medical device. An energy counter counts the amount of energy used by the implantable medical device. An energy converter converts the energy used into an estimate of remaining power source longevity and generating an energy longevity estimate. A voltage monitor monitors the voltage of the power source. A voltage converter converts the voltage monitored by the voltage monitor into an estimate of remaining longevity of the power source and generating a voltage longevity estimate. A calculator is operatively coupled to the energy converter and to the voltage converter and predicts the power source longevity using the energy longevity estimate early in the useful life of the power source and using the voltage longevity estimate later in the useful life of the power source.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in fall restraint anchoring of workers on an elevated location includes an upstanding post with at least one attachment loop at an upper end. The post is formed by plurality of coaxial cylindrical tubes each mounted as a sliding fit inside the next with each insert tube having a longitudinal groove co-operating with a projecting set screw on the outer tube so as to prevent relative rotation and to locate the limits of movement for aligning holes in the tubes for a locking pin. A jib portion includes a collar located on the smallest tube with a lower edge sitting on the upper edge of the next tube and extends upwardly and outwardly to a tether which extends to the attachment loop.
Abstract: A jobsite-renewable multilayer floor finish system has an undercoat employing a first hardening system, an autohardenable (e.g., two-part) topcoat employing a second hardening system, and at least one initiator for the topcoat hardening system in at least the undercoat. The initiator increases the topcoat hardening rate while reducing the topcoat pot life to a lesser extent than would be the case if the initiator were included only in the topcoat. The increased topcoat hardening rate facilitates earlier application of additional topcoat layers, or earlier return of the floor to service.

Abstract: A reusable concrete anchor strap includes a strap having a first end, a second end, a middle portion, and an intermediate portion. The first end and the second end are proximate a connector end and the middle portion forms a first loop member proximate an anchor end. The intermediate portion is a first segment between the first end and the middle portion and a second segment between the second end and the middle portion. A securement member secures and interconnects the first segment and the second segment to form a second loop member thereby allowing for reuse of the strap when the first loop member is disconnected to create a second anchor end proximate the second loop member. The first loop member and the second loop member are configured and arranged to engage at least one anchor member of a concrete structure.
Abstract: A hinge device where height adjustment, depth adjustment and side adjustment are permitted, wherein a hinge flap is adjustably supported by a rotatable pin with a polygonal flange, the hinge for side adjustment having an adjustable screw body fastened into the door frame for abutment with the rear side of the hinge, and where depth adjustment is provided by allowing a tongue on the hinge flap to form rotatable engagement with a double-headed adjusting screw that is insertable into the door frame parallel to the plane of the hinge flap.
Abstract: An external power system, system and method for transcutaneous energy transfer to an implantable medical device having componentry for providing a therapeutic output and a secondary coil operatively coupled to the componentry. The implantable medical device is adapted to implanted at a location in a patient. An external power source has a primary coil contained in a housing. The external power source is capable of providing energy to the implantable medical device when the primary coil of the external power source is placed in proximity of the secondary coil of the implantable medical device. A holder is adapted to be externally positioned with respect to the patient at a spot in proximity of the location of the implantable medical device and secured at the spot. The holder is attachable to the housing after the holder is secured to the patient.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for forming elongated composite structural members with a desired cross-sectional geometry as taken transverse to the length of the member. An apparatus may include a base with a substantially elongated mandrel mounted thereon. One or more rollers configured to at least partially complementarily engage the mandrel are configured to roll over and press one or more plies of composite material onto the mandrel. The mandrel may be disposed on a rotary table and configured to exhibit a curved elongated geometry to form at least partially curved or arcuate elongated members. The present invention enables the formation of elongated structural members from resin impregnated materials while maintaining the materials in a substantially uncured state. The formed members may then be cocured with a skin or other composite structure.
