  • Patent number: 6086838
Abstract: Silane is removed from the exhaust gas of silicon CVD reactors by injecting a stoichiometric excess of halogen to produce halosilanes which are hydrolyzed in water. The removal method permits the use of small individual reactors at each CVD reactor site and eliminates the collection and transport of hazardous gases to a central disposal site for destruction.

  • Patent number: 6050967
Abstract: Visual indication of compressive force applied by a compression bandage is provided by forming a continuous pattern of repeated geometric shapes in the bandage strip with indicator yarn. The continuous pattern is formed so that the shape of each geometric design is changed when tension is applied to the bandage and the shape of the deformed pattern is indicative of compression force applied.

  • Patent number: 6038812
Abstract: A vase or similar container which includes a display support is formed by a tubular member having an open upper end, a closed lower end, a base support included in the closed lower end and an upper support disposed within the upper region of the tubular member. A vertically disposed elongated support rod is supported in the lower end of the tubular member and extends upwardly through the upper mounting aperture to support an electric motor for driving an active display.

  • Patent number: 6016254
Abstract: Grid array device packages are mounted on a circuit board or other substrate with a socket having a base member, a retaining member and an array of bent contact pins. The ends of the contact pins are displaced by insertion of a device package and then respond with a small spring force to hold the device package in place against ledges on the retaining member. The contact ends of the pins make electrical connection with terminals on the device package. A sufficient portion of each pin is implanted within the base member to prevent stress from passing through the base member. The retaining member leaves a significant portion of the upper surface of the device package exposed so that packages with attached heat sinks may be mounted therein.

  • Patent number: 6010559
Abstract: Gases containing solubles or suspended particles are mixed with a scrubbing liquid in a mixing apparatus having a chamber with a rotatable wheel mounted therein. The gas is mixed with a scrubbing liquid by the rotating wheel which has first and second scrubbing surfaces including vanes for creating turbulence and moving the gas through the chamber. The vanes on the first scrubbing surface increase in height from the axis of the wheel to its periphery to move gas radially outwardly. The vanes on the second scrubbing surface increase in height from the periphery to the axis of the wheel to move the gas radially inwardly.

  • Patent number: 5991154
Abstract: A heat sink having a support base which supports a base plate is used to mount one or more device packages on a circuit board or the like. The support base is adapted to be secured to the circuit board. The base plate has opposed major faces adapted for mating with device packages. Tongues or clips secure individual device packages on the major faces of the base plate independently to that device packages may be removeably attached to either or both sides of the base plate.

  • Patent number: 5964437
Abstract: A body of soft, pliable material is used to form a mounting support for securing objects to a substantially flat surface. The body has substantially parallel inner and outer major faces. The inner face is formed to have a slight concavity but is sufficiently soft and pliable to conform to and thus secure itself to roughened surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5913433
Abstract: A display shelf which employs a mounting or support panel for attachment to one face of a transparent wall is provided with a floor which projects from the top edge of the support panel and a containment wall which projects upwardly from the floor. The support panel does not extend above the floor in the area which supports displayed product so that the product is visible through the transparent wall. Advertising material may be displayed on the support panel below the floor and the containment wall and/or floor may be appropriately shaped to provide individual compartments for each unit of product displayed.

  • Patent number: RE36827
Abstract: A display rack is mounted to an internal surface of .Iadd.a .Iaddend.transparent panel in .Iadd.a .Iaddend.refrigerated vault to support and display bottles through the transparent panel. The display rack has a back wall for mounting the rack and a ledge extending from the back wall which has a generally horizontal portion adjacent the back wall and .[.a.]. .Iadd.an .Iaddend.upwardly deflected portion distal from the back wall. A plurality of slots are formed in the ledge for receiving the neck portions of the bottles. Each slot is of a size adapted to receive the neck portion of a bottle but smaller than the top portion used .Iadd.for .Iaddend.sealing the bottle, whereby the edges of the slots in the ledge can support the bottle at its neck and the body portion of the body of the bottle can be easily grasped for selection and removal from the display rack.
