Abstract: A system for processing transaction data is provided. The system includes a fraud policy system that provides merchant fraud policy data. An order information data system receives order information data and the merchant fraud policy data and generates order information fraud score data, such as by modifying the order information data using the merchant fraud policy data and then scoring the modified order information data. A transaction authorization system receives the order information fraud score data and the merchant fraud policy data and generates client authorization data.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is described for optimizing prompts for a speech-enabled application. The speech-enabled application is operable to receive communications from a number of users and communicate one or more prompts to each user to illicit a response from the user that indicates the purpose of the user's communication. The method includes determining a number of prompt alternatives (each including one or more prompts) to evaluate and determining an evaluation period for each prompt alternative. The method also includes automatically presenting each prompt alternative to users during the associated evaluation period and automatically recording the results of user responses to each prompt alternative. Furthermore, the method includes automatically analyzing the recorded results for each prompt alternative based on one or more performance criteria and automatically implementing one of the prompt alternatives based on the analysis of the recorded results.

Abstract: The present invention is designed to efficiently calculate isotopic distribution in order to simulate mass spectra data for any chemical compound of interest. The simulated spectra considers the various isotopes of the compound based upon a probability calculation that takes into consideration the natural abundance of each isotope of individual elements of the compound. The probability calculation generates a relative probability associated with each isotope species of the subject compound. The simulated spectra are displayed on an x-y coordinate illustrating the calculated formula weight on the abscissa (x-axis) and the intensity of the specific species on the ordinate (y-axis). This theoretical data is then compared to experimental data taken from a mass spectrometer in order to identify the chemical compound at issue.

Abstract: A system for amplifying a signal is provided. The system includes a plurality of driver stages, each having an input, an output, and a disable control. An output stage having an input is coupled to the outputs of the plurality of driver stages. A plurality of disable control signals is provided to the driver stages so as to controllably enable and disable one or more of the driver stages.

Abstract: The present invention described secures a computer account against unauthorized access caused as a result of identity-theft, and insider-espionage using artificial intelligence and behavioral modeling methods. The present invention has the ability to detect intruders or impersonators by observing “suspicious” activity under a computer account. When it sees such suspicious behavior, it uses artificial intelligence to authenticate the suspect by interrogation. The present invention asks the suspect questions that only the legitimate computer account owner can verify correctly. If the suspect fails the interrogation, that proves that he/she is an impersonator and therefore further access to the computer account is denied immediately. On the other hand if the suspect passes, access to the computer account is restored. The present invention uses a Programmable Artificial Intelligence Engine (PAIE) to interact with computer users in human natural language.

Abstract: A cross-differential amplifier is provided. The cross-differential amplifier includes an inductor connected to a direct current power source at a first terminal. A first and second switch, such as transistors, are connected to the inductor at a second terminal. A first and second amplifier are connected at their supply terminals to the first and second switch. The first and second switches are operated to commutate the inductor between the amplifiers so as to provide an amplified signal while limiting the ripple voltage on the inductor and thus limiting the maximum voltage imposed across the amplifiers and switches.

Abstract: A system and method for providing integrated telephony and Internet services is described. An embodiment of the present invention comprises passively collecting incoming and/or outgoing call information from communications links communicatively coupled to a first party. The call information is extracted and customer information, such as demographic information, is retrieved. The customer information may be, for example, retrieved from a data provider or may have been previously collected or gathered. Thereafter, reports, charts, graphs, maps, and the like may be made available. In an embodiment, the reports, charts, graphs, maps, and the like are made available via a network such as the Internet.

Abstract: Computer implemented methods of tracking client device activity on a web site are provided. Certain embodiments of tracking methods allow client device activity on one communication network (e.g. web pages viewed via the Internet) to be correlated to subsequent communications on a second communications network (e.g. a telephony network). Other embodiments include the ability to track client device activity across one or more web servers. Certain embodiments include the ability to use a limited pool of selectable addresses on one network (e.g. phone numbers) to correlate to a wide range of client device activity on another network. Reports may be generated that summarize the collected and correlated tracking information.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer instructions on computer readable media are disclosed for optimizing a query, including a first join path, a second join path, and an optimizer, to efficiently provide high quality information from large, multiple databases. The methods and systems include evaluating a schema graph identifying the join paths between a field X and a field Y, and a value X=x, to identify the top-few values of Y=y that are reachable from a specified X=x value when using the join paths. Each data path that instantiates the schema join paths can be scored and evaluated as to the quality of the data with respect to specified integrity constraints to alleviate data quality problems. Agglomerative scoring methodologies can be implemented to compute high quality information in the form of a top-few answers to a specified problem as requested by the query.

Abstract: An optical fiber connection system detects when proper connection is made between a fiber-optic cable and a bulkhead. A conductive strip on the fiber-optic cable contacts a first and second conductor on the bulkhead upon proper positioning of the bulkhead relative to the fiber-optic cable. The system includes indicators for displaying which of a plurality of termination points is properly terminated. In addition, the system includes alternative embodiments for turning off an energy source feeding the fiber-optic cable, in the event the fiber-optic cable becomes disconnected from the bulkhead.

Abstract: An apparatus assists in clearing furrows in a plowed field. A plurality of furrow assist members line up with a plurality of plowshares on a furrow roller which is towed around a field. The furrow roller may have one or more cylindrical rollers that may include extension rollers that are foldable for storage. Plowshares are moveably attached to rigid beams and positioned to engage the ground and dig irrigation furrows. The cylindrical rollers smooth and compact seed beds in a uniform manner. Furrow assist members, in accordance with embodiments, are selectively deployed and positioned to be substantially in line with the plowshares to clear and distribute any soil or other materials that may be in the furrows following the passage of the cylindrical rollers.

Abstract: The object control and tracking system of the present invention includes a computer, a system controller, and at least one object storage drawer housed within a security cabinet. The system controller provides a bi-directional communication link between the computer and a printed circuit board located within the object storage drawer. The objects are symmetrically shaped acrylic key fobs each containing a touch memory device to store information about as set of keys or other valuable objects associated with the fob. A dress plate, incorporating a plurality of slots for interfacing with the fobs, is within the drawer and provides the mechanical support for the key fobs. The key fobs are generally symmetrically shaped to fit into the slot. The slot spacing is staggered in the array so that it is easier for a user to replace or to locate the key fob if the array is almost fully occupied.

Abstract: A system, method and software for implementing an automated call routing application in a speech enabled call center environment are provided. In operation, the invention provides for the identification of a call center transaction selection from a natural language user utterance and the invocation of one or more scripts operable to route the user to a call center service agent configured to service the selected transaction. In the event a transaction selection cannot be readily identified or can only be partially identified, the invention provides for the initiation of a dialog module or script directed to eliciting a discernable transaction selection and/or the presentation of one or more menus from which the user may select an available call center transaction.

Abstract: A system, method and software are described for facilitating transitions between speech-enabled applications employing action-object matrices. In an exemplary embodiment, an automatic call router determines a service agent destination by identifying an action-object combination included in a user utterance. In addition to forwarding the user to the service agent destination, the automatic call router sends one or more aspects of the user utterance to the service agent for use therewith. The service agent may then use aspects of the forwarded information to request further information from the user or to begin performance of a user desired transaction.

Abstract: A method and system for allowing a calling party to save information obtained from an information retrieval system. The caller may select options to save the information to a memory location, e.g., the caller's own network-based voice mail system or a temporary voice mailbox provided for the caller by the information provider, from which the caller can subsequently retrieve and review the information. The information may be saved to an Internet-based website from which the caller may subsequently retrieve the information. The information may be forwarded to a separate telephone directory number for receipt by a third person or for storing on a remote voice mail system. Additionally, the information may be electronically mailed to the caller's electronic mail address for subsequent retrieval. Discussions with a live attendant may be recorded and stored, as audio files or as converted to text, for access by or delivery to the caller.

Abstract: A modular casket assembly, created from composite wood scraps ground to a fine wooden composite grind and dried, is provided. A fine wooden composite is mixed with a dry glue and heat or pressure activated as desired. This mixture is then placed in a press mold with a thin veneer cover. The veneer cover may be paper, wood, cloth or other material. Typically, the veneer is perforated with small pin holes to permit steam to pass through during compression. Any desired image or scene may be provided on the veneer. The mold mixture and veneer is then compressed in a wood press, and to provide a finished product with durable veneer with a finished surface. The finished surface can be a fine wood finish, a wood-look finish or any variety of customized images. The casket assembly includes substantially flat or curvilinear panels. The casket assembly may be split as desired. Decorative brackets may be used to assemble the casket box.

Abstract: Multiplexing bead technology is used for simultaneous screening of multiple LSD and normalizing measured enzyme activity or protein levels against other lysosomal proteins, enzymes, or enzyme activities. Diagnostic compositions include microspheres conjugated to purified antibodies that specifically bind LSD target antigens: saposin, LAMP-1, ?-iduronidase, ?-glucosidase, ?-glucosidase, 2-sulphatase, 4-sulphatase, ?-galactosidase, sphingomyelinase, 3-sulphatase or sulphamidase. The target antigens are naturally present in biological fluids or tissues of either LSD or non-LSD patients.

Abstract: A disclosed self regulating biasing circuit (SRBC) includes an unregulated node that couples to an unregulated power supply that produces a supply voltage. An impedance element of the SRBC carries an unregulated current having a nominal component and a variance component between an unregulated node and a regulated node. A detection circuit connected between the unregulated node and a third node detects a variance component of a supply voltage and generates a detection current based on the variance component. A compensation circuit connected to the third node draws a compensation current, based on the detection current, from the regulated node. The SRBC is designed wherein the compensation current is approximately equal to the variance component of the unregulated current. The regulated node may be connected to a control terminal of a transistor to be biased.

Abstract: A method is presented for routing a call from a PBX to a voice mailbox on a communication platform wherein a call is received from an originating device at the PBX and the PBX is associated with a voice mail box on a communication platform. A redirecting number associated with the PBX is assigned to an ISDN message set-up string. The call is forwarded to the communication platform along with the ISDN set-up string information. After verification against a subscriber database, the forwarded call, including related ISDN information is delivered to the communication platform voice mail box server for storage and further processing. The redirecting number may represent the voice mail box identifier, and for increased security and privacy, the voice mail box may be different from the number for the PBX extension from which the voice and data messages are received.
