  • Patent number: 5002637
Abstract: A composite material comprising a para-oriented aramide fiber sheet and a thermosetting resin matrix. The composite material is characterized in that the reinforcing para-oiented aramide fiber sheet is pre-treated with a reactive siloxane oligomer prior to impregnation with the thermosetting resin. The reactive siloxane oligomer is represented by the following general formula (1) of: ##STR1## wherein Z is ##STR2## CH.sub.2 --O--, HS, NH.sub.2 -- or CH.sub.2 .dbd.CH--; m is an integer of from zero to 4; n is an integer of from 1 to 9; and R.sub.1 is the same or different groups selected from methyl, ethyl and phenyl. The composite material is improved in electric resistance properties, particularly after being dipped in boiling water, and also improved in thermal resistance to soldering.

  • Patent number: 4997112
Abstract: A dispenser has an outlet nozzle which is reversibly movable by rotation of a control cap from a first extended position, in which adhesives is dispensed as a series of fine spots, to a second retracted position in which adhesive is dispensed as a film using the flat upper surface of the control cap as a spreading tool. The base of the nozzle is joined to the walls of the dispenser by a flexible membrane. The control cap is provided with a centrally located hole, in the flat upper surface, through which the nozzle can protrude, and an internal coaxial sleeve which surrounds the nozzle. The latter is provided with a locating stud which cooperates with a screw groove in the inner surface of the sleeve so that manual rotation of the control cap causes the stud to travel along the groove, thereby causing the nozzle to move between the first and second positions.

  • Patent number: 4995236
Abstract: A cryostatic device is divulged for radiation detectors, disposed at the end of a cooled finger. A case, transparent to the radiation to be detected, at least in the vicinity of the detector, forms about the finger and the detector a heat insulating enclosure. An electric circuit brings the detected signal(s) outside the enclosure and radially immobilizes the end of the finger with respect to said case, because its substrate is a disk fast both with said case and with the end of the finger.
