Abstract: For use with a piano having key activated hammers, each hammer striking a selected string upon activation by the associated key, a rail stop assembly that comprises a rotational hammer stopping rail for preventing the hammers from striking the selected strings. Included is a mechanism for moving the hammer stopping rail between a first position for blocking the hammers and a second position for allowing the hammers to strike the selected strings.

Abstract: A latch assembly and self-latching deadbolt assembly for mounting to a sliding door and latching with a strike plate mounted in a door frame. Provided are a housing for fitting within the sliding door, a self-latching deadbolt for engaging with the strike plate, and a mechanism for sliding the self-latching deadbolt between a nonengaging position and an engaging position for latching with the strike plate.

Abstract: A non-ionizing radiation emitting apparatus and method of use for preferentially inducing cellular necrosis in abnormal cells has a non-ionizing radiation generator with opposing plates or poles. A time focused electromagnetic field with sufficient energy to cause either electroporation or electromagnetic enzyme interference of the abnormal cells is included and functions by rotating the generated radiation about a central axis thereby focusing the radiation at a desired location containing at least a portion of the abnormal cells.

Abstract: For use with a key in a keyboard instrument, a solenoid mounting apparatus for releasably securing solenoid assemblies has a mounting rail with essentially flat first and second faces, first and second end edges, and first and second mounting edges. Solenoid assembly securing channels are formed into each mounting edge. Included in the solenoid assemblies are brackets for retaining each of the solenoids to the rail and a threaded member for releasably anchoring each bracket to either of the channels.

Abstract: For use with a mailing packet assembling apparatus that creates a mailing packet from items comprised of machine readable indicia encoded forms and machine readable indicia encoded envelopes that are transferred into the assembling apparatus, a verification system for determining that the correct items are transferred for assembly into the mailing packet. The system has a data base with information on the items within the mailing packet, thereby establishing which forms and envelopes are required in the assembled mailing packet, a plurality of dynamically controlled detectors for identifying the indicia on each form and on each envelope, and a computer for verifying that the data base information and the dynamically detected form and envelope indicia correctly correspond or do not correctly correspond to the desired mailing packet and, if correct, direct the mailing packet to be assembled.

Abstract: An automated remittance system, method, and associated remittance document are disclosed whereby consumers' pre-authorizations are obtained by a billing system provider to initiate an electronic transfer of Funds from the consumers' depository accounts to a vendor's depository account upon the provider's scanning and verifying the returned remittance documents that have unique current billing indicia. Computer means control the system and maintain currency of all associated data base files as well as generate the remittance documents.

Abstract: A collating system for producing a plurality of document packets with each document packet having at least one page has a database containing requisite information for forming each of the document packets and a computer controller for accessing the database for the requisite information to produce each of the document packets. A multi-tray collator creates each of the document packets as directed by the computer. A plurality of inputting mechanisms feeds pages into the trays of the collator and an outputting mechanism transfers each of the document packets created by the collator to a subsequent processor.

Abstract: A portable ball batting apparatus for attachment to a preexisting support comprises an elongated member having two ends. The elongated member is attached to one end of a resilient tether, while the other end of the resilient tether is secured to a ball. Incorporated into the elongated member is a releasable anchoring system for attaching the elongated member to the support.

Abstract: A basketball-like board game that is played by bouncing tokens off an obstacle impressed surface and into a receptacle having an angled backboard. Included is a token retrieval system to facilitate token collection and counting.

Abstract: A continuous paper feeder for supplying sheets of paper to a receiving machine from a top of a first stack of paper while being resupplied to a bottom of the first stack of paper with sheets of paper from a top of a second stack of paper. A concave paper hopper maintains a generally constant angle of incidence of a leading edge of sheets of paper from the top of the first stack of paper to a picker of the receiving machine. Sheet feed belts transfer paper from the top of the second stack of paper to the bottom of the first stack of paper while sheets of paper are continually removed from the top of the first stack to the receiving machine by the picker.

The reservoir has a side wall, an upper rim, and a bottom having a plurality of apertures. Holding and supporting the reservoir is a base. A cover is releasably fitted to the reservoir upper rim. An inlet control system is included for admitting and regulating an amount of incoming liquid into the reservoir. Further, an outlet control system is furnished for regulating an amount of outgoing liquid from the reservoir to the plant.

Abstract: A motion stabilizing system, for use by a physically challenged wheelchair occupant, is disclosed. The motion stabilizing system limits undesirable movement of a wheelchair and the occupant during manipulations of an exercise machine associated with the system. Restricted by the motion stabilizing system are backward, forward, and upward motions of the wheelchair occupant during use of the exercise machine.
