Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method of use for cleaning a textile floor covering. The subject apparatus comprises a cleaning composition reservoir, a container holding a pressurized gas, an adjustable valve for regulating the pressure of the released gas, a gas delivery conduit connecting the gas container to the reservoir, an application wand having an atomizing nozzle that generates a mist of cleaning composition, and a cleaning composition conduit connecting the wand and the reservoir. The method comprises misting the cleaning composition onto the floor covering, agitating the wetted fibers, and buffing the floor covering to assist in drying.
Abstract: An eye shield having two layers of X-radiation protective material is disclosed. X-radiation initially encounters a metalized thin layer that permits the substantial transmission of accompanying visible light yet partially diffracts, reflects, and refracts the X-radiation to decrease the amount of X-radiation passing through this metalized layer. Beneath the metalized thin layer is a lead layer that allows the passage of limited amounts of visible light yet functions to absorb effectively X-radiation. In combination, these two layers protect the eyes of a wearer from harmful X-radiation while permitting the wearer limited forward vision.
Abstract: A device and method for detecting the thickness of an essentially nonconducting material during movement of the material within the dielectric between the plates of a capacitance detection probe is disclosed. The detection probe is electrically coupled to a material thickness analysis system containing an oscillator with an output frequency that is a related to the dielectric between the plates. Storage and analysis of output frequencies for the oscillator with and without the nonconducting material between the plates generates material thickness information.

Abstract: For use with a heat pump to increase cold weather heating efficiency, a supplemental heat exchanger and associated refrigerant flow lines for generating additional expanded refrigerant and transferring the additional expanded refrigerant to the heat pump compressor during the cold outside conditions, included isn a monitoring system for detecting and actively regulating the refrigerant pressure and temperature at a location in the supplemental heat exchanger and associated refrigerant flow lines just prior to the refrigerant entering the compressor. The monitoring system automatically connects the supplemental heat pump, to enhance the heating cycle capabilities, and disconnects the supplemental heat pump, when the enhanced heating cycle capabilities are no longer required.
Abstract: A prefabricated wall insert unit is disclosed for rapid installation in a wall having an outer surface, an internal space, a ceiling plate, and a floor support. When installed, an exterior assembly, with upper and side perimeter attachment areas, projects away from the outer wall surface. A header is fastened to the exterior assembly proximate the upper perimeter attachment area and is within the wall internal space immediately below the ceiling plate. At least two side support members are fastened to the upper support member and to the exterior assembly proximate the side perimeter attachment areas. When installed in the wall, the header and each said side support member are within the wall internal space and each side support member extends from the header to proximate the wall floor support.
Abstract: For aiding in educating children concerning vehicle safety, an instructional toy vehicle and method of use are disclosed. The toy vehicle is equipped with a functioning shoulder strap seat belt. Included is a crash dummy and instructional manual describing safety exercises that illustrate the use of a seat belt and the results of not wearing such a restraining device.
Abstract: A lightweight, collapsible gambrel for carrying or lifting an animal carcass is provided having a central support member for securing a manipulative tether and two opposing foldable branch members pivotally attached to the central support member. Each branch member has a proximal and a distal arm, pivotally connected to one another. Two folding prongs, for anchoring a portion of the carcass, are associated with each distal arm.
Abstract: A mounting bracket for reversibly installing a cellular phone or related device in a vehicle is disclosed. More particularly, the subject device has a body that separates into two components. A first component is directly or indirectly anchored to the vehicle and incorporates one half element of a two element hinge and an alignment pin into its structure. Associated with a second component, that is fastened to the cellular phone device, is the other hinge half element that detachably joins to the first component hinge half element and an aperture to receive the alignment pin. To secure the two components to one another to generate a stable mounting bracket, a second component latch releasably holds a first component catch.
Abstract: A paper clip for securing to at least one sheet of thin material comprises a continuous or endless filament shaped to provide two oppositely facing pincers. Each oppositely facing pincer has a resilient hinge region connecting and urging toether an opposing pair of pincer finger members with each pincer finger member comprising a tip segment, an inner gripping segment, and an outer edge segment. The sheet of thin material is secured between either of the oppositely facing pincers by the inner gripping segments of the respective pair of opposing pincer finger members.
Abstract: An interfacing device for collating from a printer and transferring to post-printer receiving equipment, as a document packet, a complete designated document having one or more printed document pages is disclosed. The device comprises a collating tray positioned to accept from the printer each document page, a solenoid initiated system for transferring the document packet from the collating tray to post-printer receiving equipment, and an electronic information control system for tracking documents and informing the solenoid initiated transferring system that the complete designated document is printed and within the collating tray ready for transferring to the post-printer receiving equipment.
Abstract: A syringe sheathing device is provided that shields a user from post-use needles that are still attached to a syringe. A cylindrical protective sheath fits over the syringe and may be extended irreversibly from a pre-use to a post-use position covering a used needle by sliding or telescoping the sheath past an easily dislodged pre-use position into the locked configuration. The pre-use configuration is easily assembled for delivery to a consumer.
Abstract: Presented is an easily portable, compartmentalized apparatus for aiding in the preparation of prepasted wallpaper for hanging on a surface. The apparatus has a wallpaper storage and delivery area, a wallpaper length measuring system, a wetting chamber, a cutting bar, and a sealable relaxation chamber for maintaining the wallpaper in a wetted state to permit relaxation of the wallpaper before hanging.
Abstract: A mouth cleansing composition for removing dried secretion deposits in and around a user's oral cavity is disclosed. The composition is a mixture of an aqueous salt containing solution, glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, and an acid neutralizing agent.
Abstract: Safety goggles that effectively filter possibly dangerous levels of all types of cataractogenic radiation including near blue light, UV-A, B, and C, Gamma, and X-radiation are disclosed comprising an UV, Gamma, and X-ray radiopaque frameless leaded polymer lens formed to curve over a user's face having a radiolucent polymer nose rest and ear pieces and a radiopaque boot extending from the lens to proximate the user's face to produce a vented peripheral enclosure to cover both eyes of the user and shield the user's eyes from all angles of harmful radiation exposure, but allow unobstructed forward and peripheral vision.
