  • Patent number: 5170175
Abstract: A resistively terminated antenna and method of fabricating a resistively terminated antenna comprising providing a resistor-conductor laminate, selectively removing portions of the resistive and conductive layers to produce an antenna design and mounting the resistor-conductor laminate on the dielectric substrate. Etching selectively removes portions of the conductive and resistive layers, and mounting is accomplished using a spacer, film resistor, and ground plane, where the resistor-conductor laminate is fixed to the surface of the dielectric substrate opposite the film resistor. The film resistor may have a central aperture.

  • Patent number: 5160903
Abstract: A microwave circuit high isolation packaging technology involving the fabrication of a single-piece baseplate containing microwave circuits, the fabrication of a single-piece framework, and the assembly of the baseplate structure to the framework structure eliminating any gaps. The baseplate contains the desired microwave circuitry without isolation channels or other impediments to mounting circuit components or making circuit interconnections. The framework comprises all isolation walls, transoms, or other structures capable of isolating individual portions of the microwave circuit when assembled to the baseplate.

  • Patent number: 5159298
Abstract: A microstrip directional coupler which employs closed form solutions for compensating capacitance or inductance and odd mode characteristic impedance necessary to realize high directivity or match in microstrip directional couplers valid for tight and loosely-coupled sections. A microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) directional coupler with single capacitive or inductive compensation derives from a mathematical analysis using symmetry and reflection and transmission coefficients' equivalency. Closed form solutions for the compensating capacitance or inductance and a new odd mode characteristic impedance are generated. The results are implemented in single antisymmetric inductive and antisymmetric and symmetric capactive compensated versions.

  • Patent number: 5150124
Abstract: A method and device for bandpass filter demodulation for FM-CW systems which includes providing a FM-CW signal to an input of a bandpass demodulator, amplifying the FM-CW signal, timing the bandpass demodulator at an integer multiple of the FM-CW signal frequency, and simultaneously demodulating/filtering the FM-CW signal to produce a signal in baseband containing suppressed carrier-Doppler sideband information from the FM-CW signal. The demodulating/filtering functions are performed in an appropriately biased and clocked switched capacitive filter.

  • Patent number: 5147974
Abstract: In a weapon subject to linear acceleration and spin, including a detonator and an explosive charge, the safing and arming device comprising a housing, a setback spring configuration restraining a ribbon spiral unwinder, and a detonator-enabling circuit which provides a fail safe for the omission of the safing and arming device from the fuze assembly.
