Abstract: A drum deheader device comprising a pair of mounting bars for respectively supporting a shearing blade and an opposing anvil adapted to be positioned at opposite sides of a can cover portion of a chime and a linkage interconnecting said bars to advance and retract the bars for cutting and releasing the device, the linkage being formed and arranged to cut the chime twice as the operating levers are moved back and forth toward and away from each other, the blade being positioned to cut through an upper section of an outer layer only of the chime and to expose an inner layer of the chime beneath the shear blade which has a wedge face which slides on the exposed portions of the inner layer of the chime to separate the layers apart, thereby loosening a cover from the container and forming a continuous strip of scrap material whereby sliver forming is inhibited.
Abstract: A conveying mechanism for a press having sucker fingers which lift horizontally positioned items. The mechanism having two conveying sections for supporting imbricately arranged items, the first conveying section delivering to the second and the second section having components which rearrange the items into a vertical stack and lift it by wedging the items one under the other to a position where the fingers pick off the uppermost item of the stack.
Abstract: A bubble-making device in the shape of a sword having a blade with holes therein, the sword being made of flexible plastic, and the holes having a toothed periphery, the blade being bendable to an extent to cause the bubble-forming solution to peel off the blade as the blade is caused to vibrate.

Abstract: A hanger assembly for a tire bumper comprising inner and outer legs which define a slot for receiving a tire side wall, one leg having a clinching rib formed thereon for clinching with the bead of the tire and the other leg extending radially into the tire carcass between its side walls and having a seating position formed thereon for seating against the interior of the tire along complementary surfaces in radial alignment with the thread portion of the tire, the outer leg having an aperture for receiving a securing element attachable to a mooring pier for holding the tire thereon.
Abstract: A conveying system comprising an upfeed conveyor for conveying individual stock items upwardly to a press or the like and a generally horizontal infeed conveyor for conveying endwise a stack of items positioned on edge thereon to the upfeed conveyor which has several sections all of which are activated to move the item delivered thereto upwardly and wherein the lower sections are periodically stopped and the uppermost section is freely adapted to move to facilitate withdrawal of the item in transit from the upfeed conveyor, the infeed conveyor being vertically adjustable and tiltable with respect to the upfeed conveyor for handling different sized stock items, and wherein conveyors are so juxtaposed that the item in transit on the upfeed conveyor shields the upper portion of the next item from engaging movable section until the item in transit is completely withdrawn from the upfeed conveyor and wherein a retard is provided with an items gauge shield to insure single item feeding.

Abstract: A headlining laminate (10) is made up of a composite which includes two corrugated boards having corrugations which are arranged at right angles to each other and having a thermoplastic sheet interposed between the boards for adhesion. The board is covered with a fabric (15) and includes mounting holes. An advantage of the invention is that stretch lines do not occur on the fabric due to the corrugations of the board being at an angle to each other.
Abstract: A hopper car is converted to a gondola-type car by replacing the hoppers and their dump doors with a light metal sheet floor. The floor sheets form a series of box-like compartments. The compartments are formed by crossbearer partitions extending between the side walls, center sill and the sheet floor. Floor frame members reinforce the rigidity of the floor structure. The partitions are formed by tubular crossbearers on gussets on the center sill, and closure walls converging at the top thereof.
Abstract: A gondola-type railway car has an end structure supported on a frameless radial truck. The end structure includes a center sill and a bottom closure member. Side sill members are connected to the sides of the bottom closure member. The undersurface of the bottom closure member has eight wedge pockets thereon with reinforcement attached thereto for engaging eight support pads on the truck. The pads and the wedge pockets are arranged in four longitudinally-spaced pairs of laterally spaced pads. The bottom closure member has a reinforcement structure on its upper surface for transferring the weight of the car to the truck. The reinforcement structure includes three transverse reinforcement channels above the three inner pairs of wedge pockets. A pair of longitudinally extending channel members extend from above the outer wedge pockets to engage the outermost transverse beam to tie the outer wedge pockets into the car body structure.

Abstract: An identification badge holder which is readily adapted to assembly line production thereby requiring less labor while resulting in a durable, pleasing and less costly product. An anaerobic adhesive is utilized to assist in the assembly process while also providing mechanical and adhesive properties to add strength and durability. A method for the manufacture of the identification badge holder is also disclosed.

Abstract: A clip assembly having a pair of cooperative pivotally interconnected clip members with integral spring means biasing the clip members to article-grasping position and a releaseable latch on one member operative to engage a catch on the other member for holding the members in open position to facilitate entry of articles between the article-grasping jaws of the clip members, the clip assembly being slidably mounted on a support for movement to laterally adjusted positions. The spring means is also operative to deflect one of the clip members to hold it tightly in interlocking engagement with the support.
Abstract: A high compression gas turbine engine which comprises a power generating rotor assembly which aspirates air at diametrically opposite areas. The power generating component is divided circumferentially into a fresh air intake sector, followed by an air compression sector, followed by a first partial burning fuel injector sector from a precombustion chamber continuously feeding partially burned fuel gases from a precombustion chamber and deflagration of the fuel with increasing pressure of gases, part of which feed back into the precombustion chamber and pressurize the partially burning gases therein for injection into the fuel injection sector. The high pressure gases are then channeled through rotors and stators for driving the power output shaft.

Abstract: A mobile irrigator with a ribbon of plastic wound on a drum which is frictionally driven by wheels engaged with the ribbon, the wheels being adapted to slide on the plastic to compensate for varying diameters of the drum resulting from more or less windings of the ribbon, the drive for the drum being designed to hold the ribbon taught for passing through guides which shape the ribbon from flat to tube and vice versa. A control is provided for the pump to prevent loss of prime by limited feeding of air into the pump. A supply source of water has an electronic monitoring receiver operating a supply pump discharging into the tube to provide sufficient pressure and attendant fluid level to hold the prime in the irrigator or discharge pump. A pressure sensitive sending command unit is provided at the inlet of the irrigator pump for actuating the supply pump at the water source.
Abstract: A motile sign in which a human face mask is motivated up and down to indicate "yes" in answer to a question on the sign "Are we open?" and in which the mask is oscillated horizontally to indicate "No", The mechanism for operating the mask comprises a pitman drive which is movable to a vertical position to move the face mask up and down and to a horizontal position to oscillate the mask horizontally and wherein the mechanism and mask are fitted into a box shaped frame which is formed to provide a cowling about the mask and cooperates therewith to conduct cooling air being fanned by the mask into the box for cooling a small electrical motor which operates the drive mechanism.
Abstract: A disposable cat litter container made of a precut and scored sheet of paper board which is foldable initially into a compact shipping carton containing litter and a plastic bag, the carton being partially unfoldable into a support structure having a bottom, side and end walls. The support structure is insertable into the bag. The bag covers the top of the structure and forms a roof therefore and the open end of the bag aligns with an opening in the support structure accommodating ingress and exit of the animal with respect to the container.
Abstract: A conveyor for removing stock items from the bottom of a stack comprising an intermittently operable roller member having conveying and lifting portions movable in an orbit, the conveying portions being operative during their operative periods to drag against the lowermost item of the stack seated thereon and enter one end of the item into a metering device which is operative during the same intervals to enter the leading end of each article into a pair of pullout rollers, the roller member cycling to dispose the lifting portions in lifting positions to the stack and providing smooth surfaced areas releasing the partially withdrawn items from under the stack during this interval.
