Abstract: An illustrative embodiment of the invention provides a microprocessor for deenergizing the air and water pumps for a whirlpool bath when a voice communication system is activated from the bath to reduce background noise. A stereophonic sound system also can be incorporated into the bath tub control circuit in the same manner. A carrier current control also responds to the microprocessor by sending control signals through the household electrical wiring circuit to regulate, from the bath tub, other functions, of which heat lamp, room illumination and door unlocking are typical.
Abstract: A sanitary mixing valve assembly, of the single handle type, which includes both a thermostatic control means to preset water temperature, and valving means to regulate volume flow between opened and closed positions, is disclosed. The thermostatic control means and valving means are arranged and constructed to form a unit within a replaceable cartridge.

Abstract: A damping means for controlling the closing action of a sanitary fitting to lengthen its closing time and, thereby, reduce its closing speed, is disclosed. The damping means is operatively mounted between the handle and valve control unit assemblies.
Abstract: The invention is directed to a cover assembly to conceal the anchor bolt assembly housed in an opening in a vertical wall of a sanitary fixture. A novel clip, which is mounted to the anchor bolt, includes latching means to mount the cover plate over the opening.
Abstract: A single lever mixing valve assembly and an appliance valve assembly for sinks or the like are mounted in a valve housing. A mixing valve cartridge having hot, cold and mixed water passages and an insert having hot, cold and mixed water conduits operably coupled thereto. The insert includes a shut-off valve having a water passageway coupled to at least one of the hot and cold water conduits and an appliance water discharge conduit. The shut-off valve, the insert, the valve cartridge and means to control the shut-off valve and valve housing are coaxially arranged.
Abstract: A sanitary valve assembly for controlling the flow of hot and cold water, which includes at least two superimposed annular control elements arranged and constructed to provide at least two passgeways therethrough with a control lever operable coupled to one of the control elements for proportioning both hot and cold water therethrough. The control elements are formed having reduced surface areas for effecting a watertight seal.
