Abstract: The invention provides an improved tray of the type used in dishwashers. The tray has a floor, side and end walls and fingers upstanding from the floor which are formed integrally from rods forming the floor. The tray has longitudinal rods in two groups, the first group having ends upstanding in the end walls and the second group extending in side walls and having end portions extending in the end walls orthogonally with respect to the upstanding portions of the first group. Apparatus for making the tray and a method of manufacture are also disclosed.
Abstract: A heating device included a body having a seat for the positioning of at least one heating support having inserted therein at least one electrical resistive element, the resistive element being electrically connected to the pins of a plug for insertion into an electric socket. The body is provided with a first slit for the positioning of a first small plate or tablet, containing evaporable substances (such as antifly and antimosquito substances), so as to bring it in contact with at least a portion of the heating support and cause the evaporation of the substances in the tablet at a high temperature (about 140.degree. C.). A further seat is also provided spaced from the heating support, in which a support is arranged for a second tablet (for example, containing deodorizing substances), which evaporate at a not unduly high temperature (about 70.degree. C.). The body provides apertures for the passage and diffusion of the evaporated substances.
Abstract: A mining apparatus which is adapted to be connected to a sectioned powered auger conveyor assembly and driven by the central shaft of the auger is constructed with its housing divided into a cutting section and an attachment section. A drive shaft is rotatably mounted to the cutting section and a transmission is mounted to the drive shaft, the transmission being adapted to receive an input shaft having one end coupled to the auger central shaft so that the auger shaft will turn the input shaft and drive the shaft through the transmission. A plurality of cutting arms are rotatably mounted on the drive shaft and are pivotally rotated around the drive shaft by a plurality of hydraulic cylinders to move the arms which carry an axle mounted therein on which cutting drums are mounted enabling the cutting drums to cut material from a seam of material.
Abstract: A process and apparatus for applying stretchable plastic film to loads for containment of the loads using two connected sets of powered rollers driven at different speeds to elongate the plastic film beyond its yield point and simultaneously connecting the stretched film to a rotating load whose surface is moving at approximately the same rate of speed as the surface of the faster and final of the two sets of rollers. A powered or force loaded film accumulator such as a dancer bar can be added to compensate for corners of the load where significant length-width distortions exist. In addition, a web narrowing device may be placed upstream or downstream from the rollers to reduce the hazard of edge tear under high elongation forces. Closure of the film ends can be accomplished by a mechanical closure mechanism.

Abstract: A process and apparatus for pre-stretching a plastic film material above its yield point in a roller assembly comprising at least two rollers connected for rotation at different speeds during a load wrapping operation. The downstream roller is at least partially driven by the film web connected to a turntable while the upstream roller rotates at a predetermined speed slower than that of the downstream roller to induce film elongation between the rollers. The force on the film between the roller assembly and the load is reduced by a powered constant torque device connected to the rollers to bring the force to the load down to a level permitting the film elongation between the roller assembly and the load to be equal to (balanced) or less than the elongation incurred between the rollers.

Abstract: An inflatable oral-nasal gastric tube constructed with double walls allowing the tube to be stiffened by inflation for purposes of initial placement in the patient, and deflated thereafter in order to minimize internal tissue irritation and necrosis. The tube comprises thin flexible outer and inner substantially cylindrical walls which are sealed together at their proximal and distal ends to form an inflatable structure, with a lumen defined inside the inner wall. The lumen is throughgoing and communicates with a funnel attached to the proximal end for administration of food and/or medicine and a weight is attached at the lower distal end to aid in initial placement efforts. A valve and air tube are provided on the proximal end of the tube to inject and withdraw fluid between the inner and outer walls of the tube.
