Abstract: The invention relates to a transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) for the administration of active agents for substitution treatment of drug dependency or drug addiction.
Abstract: This invention provides a smoking article having reduced sidestream smoke in the inter-puff period. A smoking article according to the invention may comprise a lengthwise, axially extending, tobacco-containing or non-tobacco fuse portion which sustains smoulder in the inter-puff period when surrounding tobacco material is substantially extinguished and which re-ignites the extinguished material on puffing of the smoking articles.

Abstract: The device is a swivel clip with a relatively stationary base element and a relatively rotatable swivel element. The swivel element rotates about a shaft which passes through an aperture in the base element. The swivel clip is initially formed in one piece by molding windows in an upper portion of the swivel element which are opposed to molding windows in a lower portion of the swivel element (that is, alternating around the periphery of the shaft). The windows meet in the base member, forming the swivel shaft, the swivel aperture and the internal gates as a single piece. Subsequently breaking the internal gates provides vestiges which support the swivel shaft within the aperture.
Abstract: An endothermal engine provided with a device for purifying the blow-by gases of the block, comprising a housing provided with an inlet opening communicating with the interior of the block of the engine and an outlet opening for the purified gases and integrally defining an impact separator for the removal of the larger oil particles and a filter member for the separation of the residual oil and particulates housed in a chamber of the housing; the device forms a compact integrated unit which may be readily mounted on the engine.
Abstract: A rotating connector comprising a swivel device (5, 6) having a number of fluid courses (16) for interconnecting a buoy (1) and a pipe system on a floating vessel for production of hydrocarbons, wherein the swivel device comprises a female member (5) and a male member (6) which may be introduced axially into or withdrawn from each other, the female member (5) being permanently fixed to a bottom-anchored centre member of the buoy. One of the fluid courses is arranged for transferring liquefied natural gas (LNG) between the vessel and the transfer line (13) through the buoy, and for this purpose is thermally and physically separated from the other courses.
Abstract: The unitary clip for a tray and lid of a waffle pack includes a lower expanse with two upwardly extending hooks. The hooks include upper oblique surfaces which extend upwardly and outwardly. The upper oblique surfaces are immediately upwardly adjacent from inverted ledges which engage complementary portions of the lid of the waffle pack. The lower expanse is bowed so as to form a central apex which engages the lower planar portion of the waffle pack. The clip is engaged and disengaged from the waffle pack by a simple up and down motion.
Abstract: An optical head emits a plurality of light beams onto an information record medium to perform a recording operation and/or a reproducing operation. The optical head is provided with: a plurality of light source, each outputting one of the light beams; an objective lens for collecting the light beams outputted from the light sources onto the information record medium; an optical element located on the optical path of only one of the light beams; a detector for receiving the light beam from the information record medium and outputting a detection signal; and a generating circuit for generating a drive signal based on the detection signal. The optical head is further provided with a dual-axis actuator for actuating the optical element in an optical axis direction of the light beam and in a substantially perpendicular direction to the optical axis direction in accordance with the drive signal.
Abstract: A cream depositing machine including a rotatable stencil drum (2) having first and second stencil ports (3, 4), a device (5) for rotating the drum (2), a first and second cream supply device (12, 13) for supplying first and second cream material separately to the ports (3, 4), a cream control device (10, 16) within the drum (2) and operable, in time sequence, to initially cause the first cream material to issue from the first stencil port (3) and thereafter, after angular movement of the drum (2), to cause the second cream material to issue from the second stencil port (4) whereby deposits of the first and second cream material co-exist on the drum (2), and a device (15) for simultaneously removing the co-existing deposits.

Abstract: An automatic document feeding device detachably attached to a document reading device has a document stacker into which one or more documents to be read are set while depressing a handling part to push down the documents on the stacker, so that the documents thrust into the stacker can be accurately positioned at a document delivery standard point without getting over the delivery standard point. Motive power for driving the document feeding device can be given from a driving mechanism in the document reading device through a power transmission means, so as to rationally drive the document feeding device in concert with the document reading device, thereby to reliably send out the documents one by one from the document stacker to a document reading position defined in the document reading device through a document passage for accomplishing the desired image reading.
