  • Patent number: 6529581
Abstract: When X-rays are projected to an X-ray sensor through a grid, a pitch of slits on the grid has a relationship such that a length obtained by multiplying an odd number to a half pitch of a projection image on the X-ray sensor is equal to a pitch of detection pixels of the X-ray sensor. X-rays passing through a sample to be measured via the grid are detected by the X-ray sensor. Levels of the detected X-ray detection signals are inputted into an operation process portion and subjected to an equalizing process for every pixel groups, each having even number of the detection pixels, continuously lined up in a pitch direction of the grid. As a result, irregularities of the levels of the X-ray detection signals can be corrected, and moires generated on an output screen of an image display portion can be removed.

  • Patent number: 6529259
Abstract: A sheet supply device is formed of a sheet supply stacker, a supply path for guiding a sheet stacked on the sheet supply stacker, a sheet process portion situated in the supply path, and a switch-back path positioned on a downstream side of the sheet process portion. The switch-back path guides the sheet which has passed through the sheet process portion again to the supply path by switching back the sheet. The sheet having passed through the sheet process portion is ejected onto a sheet ejecting stacker. After a first supply of the sheet to the sheet process portion is made, the sheet is reversed by the switch-back path to make a second supply to the sheet process portion; the sheet having been subjected to the second supply is again reversed by the switch-back path to make a third supply to the sheet process portion, and then ejected onto the sheet ejecting stacker. A first supply of a next sheet to the sheet process portion is made between the second and third supplies of the preceding sheet.

  • Patent number: 6524321
Abstract: A closure device for a puncture in a blood vessel is formed of a needle holder having a pair of first needle passages at a front side, and a needle catcher located at the front side of the needle holder to be movable thereto and having a pair of second needle passages aligned with the first needle passages. A pair of needle pushers is slidably located in the first needle passages, and a needle handle is attached to the needle pushers. A pair of needles joined with a suture is disposed in the first needle passages at a side close to the needle catcher. When the needle handle is actuated, the needles in the first needle passages are pushed by the needle pushers and transferred to the second needle passages. Thus, when wall portions are held between the needle holder and the needle catcher, the wall portions are sutured by the needles with the suture.

  • Patent number: 6525813
Abstract: In a spectrophotometer, light emitted from a light source is processed to provide monochromatic light by a monochromator, and reaches a sector mirror having a chopper function. The sector mirror is rotated by a motor, and a rotational frequency of the motor can be controlled by a controller. By rotation of the sector mirror, monochromatic light is alternately distributed to a sample cell and a reference cell through a mirror. In measuring a wavelength range where a detector having a photomultiplier with a fast response speed is used, the motor is rotated at a high speed, so that time for scanning a wavelength is shortened. In measuring a wavelength range where a detector having lead sulfide with a slow response speed is used, the motor is rotated at a low speed to obtain a sufficiently strong signal intensity. Accordingly, in the spectrophotometer, the analysis time can be shortened, and the sufficiently strong signal can be outputted at the same time.
