Abstract: The increasing number of mobile battery-powered small appliances with different feed voltages and connecting devices is calling for a universal and compact energy supply apparatus which provides for an uncomplicated and at the same time cost-efficient adjustability to as many small appliances as possible. To this end, the present application proposes a universal power supply unit consisting of an energy station with an integrated voltage converter in combination with various appliance-specific adapter cables with a group of electronic components. This generates an individual programming signal in the adapter cable which when coupling the adapter cable to the energy station causes a corresponding setting of the required output values. This leads to a simple matching of the unit with various small appliances and provides for a large field of applications. In particular, by feeding solar energy the power supply unit may be rendered autarchic in terms of energy.

Abstract: A low NOx and CO emission heating apparatus provides for substantially separate fuel and combustion air feeds into a combustion chamber provided at one end with an exhaust gas opening and, at an opposite end with an elongated porous air distributor through which air is fed into the combustion chamber and into jets of fuel directed into the space between the air distributor and the side wall of the combustion chamber. Both air and fuel may be subjected to swirl to improve the combustion, by adjusting the inclination of the fuel nozzles.

Abstract: The invention relates to a carrier material having an inorganic molecular structure and a surface coating produced by applying a substance and by heat treatment. The invention also relates to a method for the production and to the appropriate uses of said surface coating. Carrier materials made of glass, metal or ceramic should be provided with a surface coating with anti-sticking properties against water-based and/or oil-based organic materials or water-oil emulsions while exhibiting at the same time essentially better temperature-resistant and anti-scratch characteristics than conventional PTFE or silicon coatings. The requirements are met by an inventive surface coating consisting of a combination of inorganic molecules of the carrier material and organic molecules of an applied substance on the uppermost molecular layer of said coating. In order to produce such a surface, an inorganic substance with silicone-like networks is initially applied.

Abstract: A soft laser unit is described with a housing and a skin resistance measuring device for localizing acupuncture points which contains a probe electrode, a measuring circuit connected therewith and a display device connected to the latter. The unit additionally contains a biostimulation or therapy laser unit, in particular for laser acupuncture, and an exit opening for the laser beam of the laser unit with a focusing optic is provided within the probe electrode, whereby in the state mounted on the patient's skin the laser beam focus of the laser unit comes to lie generally in the plane of the face of the probe electrode, i.e. on the skin surface.
The soft laser unit can also be utilized in continuous operation as a so-called “laser shower”, without touching the skin, by fixing the probe electrode in the pressed-in state.
