Abstract: A method for embedding a watermark into digital data, when the watermark is to be embedded in a digital image, independently changes real number components and imaginary number components of each of coefficient values of a complex watermark coefficient matrix using key, from the watermark to be embedded in the digital image, a step for performing a discrete Fourier inverse transform on the sequence matrix of the changed watermark and generating a watermark pattern; and a step for adding like tiling the water mark pattern to the original image, and generating an embedded image.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and facility for preventing crumbling and powderization of green pellets when producing high strength green pellets using a powder feedstock and using the pellets in a rotary hearth reducing furnace and for efficiently reducing the same. It comprises kneading by a kneader 5 a feedstock of a powder of a fine particle size (20 to 80 wt % having size of not more than 10 ?m) including a metal oxide and carbon-bearing powder fed from a feed storage tank 1 and producing green pellets by a pan type pelletized 7. The green pellets are screened by a pellet screen 9, then dried by a pellet dryer 11 and reduced by firing in a rotary hearth reducing furnace 13. At that time, the green pellets are continuously conveyed to prevent crumbling.

Abstract: A sensor, in particular a gas sensor for determining a physical characteristic of a measuring gas, in particular the temperature of the concentration of a gas component, in particular in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, includes a sensor element which protrudes with a gas-side end section from a sensor housing and having a double protecting tube, which encloses the gas-side end section, and has an outer tube and an inner tube. For improved protection of the sensor element against thermal shock, a reduction in the heating power for the sensor element, and sufficiently high dynamics of the sensor, a cup-shaped central protecting tube is placed over the gas-side end section, the central protecting tube being provided with gas passage apertures in the tube casing, the gas passage apertures being positioned offset to the tube bottom with respect to the gas passage apertures present in the inner tube.

The selected data word is converted into a code data word, and a bit of the data word is in each case assigned a two-bit string with two different single-bit values. The code data word and the first running digital sum are transmitted. The received code data word is examined to ascertain whether an erroneous two-bit string exists, in which case the error is corrected using the first running digital sum.
Abstract: A method to determine corrective actions of a nuclear steam generator, having the steps of modeling of steam generator tube and deposit heat transfer characteristics by analytically deriving specific deposit characteristics and descriptive model parameters, wherein the modeling uses historical thermodynamic data for an operating plant under evaluation, identifying a set of one of preventive and corrective maintenance alternatives to accomplish steam generator deposit objectives, determining through the modeling a power production impact of each of the set of one of preventative and corrective maintenance alternatives to determine an economic cost for each of the set of preventative and corrective maintenance alternatives, and initiating a maintenance alternative with a lowest economic cost as compared to the maintenance evaluation alternatives with higher economic costs.

Abstract: Methods and systems of calculating a net present value (“NPV”) of an average spot basket option are provided. One method includes reading an evaluation date, contract data and market data associated with a basket, and calculating net present value of the average spot basket option by applying Black-Scholes theory to the sum of spot prices of the underlying assets of the basket, wherein the sum of spot prices of the underlying assets of the basket is represented as a single underlying asset. Abstract: A method is for repairing and/or modifying component parts of a gas turbine. First, at least one, particularly damaged section of the component part that is to be repaired is cut out of the component part. In addition, if it does not exist, a data record is generated for a replacement part that is to be produced.
