  • Patent number: 7609213
Abstract: A broadband antenna is capable of generating an upper resonant mode (at about 700 MHz) from a first radiating arm and a lower resonant mode (at about 500 MHz) from a second radiating arm. The first and second radiating arms are bent at least one time. An open end of the second radiating arm is extended toward an open end of the first radiating arm with a predefined distance there between. The predefined distance can be adjusted to improve the impedance matching of lower resonant mode, which can be further combined with the upper resonant mode to achieve a broad bandwidth covering the complete spectrum of digital TV channels (470-862 MHz).

  • Patent number: 7583683
Abstract: A router using distributed processing for FIB look-up and fair queuing algorithm is invented. The real-time traffic includes voice and video and should be transmitted in a certain time limit. Otherwise, the quality of the traffic is affected and the information is no longer useful. Packet scheduler in the router transmits packets within the time limit. However, the packet scheduler is not fast enough compared to the link speed and the size of the router. This invention uses a plurality of processors and almost identical time for each processor. FIB look-up and switching are performed by different processors to reduce the processing time. The traffic control algorithm can be performed independently by each processor. Thus, the processing speed of the entire router can be raised.

  • Patent number: 7308193
Abstract: An electric fluid or water heater is shown in which the heat generation is accomplished by a non-metallic element. The heating element exploits properties of carbon black based polymers. These basic elements have both electrically conductive and electrically restive properties. Metal strips are injection molded into the carbon black body of the heating element with physical contact between the metal and the carbon black. When current is passed through the metal strips, the resistivity of the carbon black causes heat to be generated. Prior art metal heating elements are subject to corrosion and degradation of performance over time. In addition, the inflow and outflow pipes may be constructed in the same manner to heat fluid en route.
