The frictional gripping member may also contain an arcuate inner surface for pivotal movement and contact with respect to a roll of paper sheet segments.

Abstract: A cross-weave load restraint system and method for securing cargo within transport containers including first and second load restraining strips wherein the first strip is formed with a cross-weave material and the second strip is composed of parallel strands of reinforcement materiel. The first and second strips of reinforcement material are secured together with an adhesive layer and a second layer of adhesive is provided for attaching the cross-weave load restraining strip to an interior surface of a transport container.

Abstract: An arthroeresis-prosthesis (endorthosis) system comprising a sinus tarsi implant for the purpose of blocking abnormal motion between the talus and calcaneus while allowing normal motion and alignment. In a preferred embodiment, the prosthetic device is composed of a non-metallic, specialized medical grade polymer (polyetheretherketone-PEEK) that is a combination of a frustum of a right cine and an axially extending cylinder that is cannulated and partially structured on the exterior surface.

Abstract: A viewing distance safety system, utilizing a viewing distance safety device having two ultrasonic sensor modules at a particular angle to each other to achieve a wide field of view, and includes an adjustable, user selected, distance threshold setting that activates a warning when an object or person enters the region within the threshold distance. The system emits a warning when the threshold distance has been crossed, and, once the distance is cleared, the warning stops and the system resets itself. The system allows a voice message to be recorded for playback when an alarm is activated by crossing into the threshold distance.

Abstract: A hand, wrist and forearm device for patients during surgery, including a pair of mating shells which fit about the patient's hand, and wrist and forearm. Each shell has a generally accurate lateral section wrist and forearm channel and a larger, generally accurate longitudinal section hand enclosure. The two shells are loosely hinged together along one edge, with a mutually mating closure provided along the edge generally opposite the hinges. The interior is preferably lined with removable padding, such as gel packs, visco-elastic material in order to apply light pressure to the hand and stabilize the position of surgical device on the hand. The pressure of the removable padding also provides a light outward pressure to stabilize the two halves of the assembly during use.
