Patent number: 4771934Abstract: The present invention provides a one-piece plastic thermo-formed foodtray with a lower tray portion which may be closed by a folding upper lid portion. The lid portion is locked over the tray portion by the interlocking of interior upright cylindrical elements formed from a flange about the periphery of the tray portion into exterior upright cylindrical elements formed from a flange about the periphery of the tray portion. Raised lands are provided adjacent to the exterior upright cylindrical elements in order to protect the same from pressure and subsequent degradation and deformation during the interlocking process by limiting the depth of depression with the thumb of the interlocking cylindrical elements.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1987Date of Patent: September 20, 1988Assignee: Inline Plastics Corp.Inventor: Danny Kalmanides

Patent number: 4771456Abstract: A cable television channel selector/descrambler enables the full capabilities of a cable-ready video appliance (e.g., television set or VCR) to be used in conjunction with a cable television system providing unscrambled channels and scrambled premium channels. A broadband cable signal containing a plurality of television signal channels having different frequencies is passed through a filter to produce a modified cable signal having one of the signal channels removed therefrom. The broadband cable signal is input to a tuner for selectively tuning only to scrambled signal channels contained in the broadband cable signal. The tuner is tuned to a scrambled signal channel to be viewed by stepping through the scrambled signal channels accessible by the tuner until the desired signal channel is reached. A scrambled signal tuned by the tuner is descrambled and remodulated to convert it to the frequency of the signal channel removed by the filter in producing the modified cable signal.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1986Date of Patent: September 13, 1988Assignee: General Instrument CorporationInventors: Thomas F. Patent number: 4770619Abstract: Rolling apparatus comprising two rollers (FIG. 1) or (FIG. 2) disposed horizontally adjacent to each other, one roller of which has a rough surface. Above the gap between these rollers is a stock holder with an open bottom end. Dough placed in the holder falls onto the rollers and is conveyed by the roller through the gap, so that a strip of dough leaves the gap. Disposed below the gap is a third roller which is parallel to the two top rollers. Rotatably mounted on the periphery of the roller are a number of rolls. The strip of dough goes from the gap through a gap between the bottom roller and the top roller (FIG. 1) or (FIG. 2), which is preferably a roller of the same type as the bottom roller, opposite the top roller with rough surface, so that the rolls make the strip of dough thinner, while retaining its structure.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 1987Date of Patent: September 13, 1988Assignee: Machinefabriek C. Patent number: 4757933Abstract: Apparatus for the automated feeding, placement and ultrasonic welding of a metal disc, such as a copper heatsink, to a recipient workpiece. A metal disc is automatically fed through the broader end of a chamfered bore cut in a weld location mask. The metal disc is gravity-fed to the narrower end of the bore as the weld location mask is automatically positioned over a recipient workpiece. An ultrasonic welding tip is inserted through the bore to hold the metal disc against the recipient workpiece. Patent number: 4752188Abstract: A probe is mounted on a water submersible pump housed within a transformer vault. The probe will extend into any water which accumulates in the bottom of the transformer vault enabling a conductive path to be established through an appropriate electric circuit to the pump motor to permit operation of the pump so that the water which is on the bottom of the vault can be safely pumped from the vault. As the water level falls as it is pumped, oily fluids, which are immiscible in the water and will normally rise to a level above the water level in the vault, will come in contact with the probe to form an electrical insulator to inactivate the circuit to disconnect a power source from the pump motor.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1987Date of Patent: June 21, 1988Assignee: Richal CorporationInventor: Richard R. Patent number: 4747480Abstract: An apparatus for the even alignment of objects essentially uniform among each other comprises at least one conveyor belt moving in a plane in a particular direction, on which the objects are placed. A first and a second conveyor belt, which converge downwards with their conveyor planes to a funnel which randomly receives the objects to be aligned, are provided. In the area of the funnel the first conveyor belt rotates from the bottom toward the top and the second conveyor belt rotates transversely hereto, thus due to the interaction of both conveyor belts the objects are aligned and are subsequently conveyed out of the funnel in this condition by the second conveyor belt.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1986Date of Patent: May 31, 1988Assignee: Croon+Lucke Maschinenfabrik GmbH+Co.
