  • Patent number: 6257927
Abstract: A multi-coaxial connector comprises a metallic die-cast block having a plurality of through-holes, a plurality of L-shaped contacts each having foot and leg portions, and a plurality of insulator sleeves. The through-holes hold the foot portions of the L-shaped contacts on the inside circumferences thereof, via the insulator sleeves, respectively. The L-shaped contacts serve as inner coaxial conductors, while the metallic block serves as a common outer coaxial conductor for the inner coaxial conductors. The connector further comprises an insulator housing which has an open rear end and additional through-holes corresponding to the through-holes. Such insulator housing accommodates the front end of the metallic block inserted thereinto through the open end, so as to serve as a cap of the metallic block.

  • Patent number: 6252201
Abstract: A toaster oven has a double wall housing with an air space between the double walls. The inner one of the double walls has a plurality of openings therein arranged above and below heating elements inside the oven. Inside the oven, an air divertor having a pair of spaced parallel walls is positioned adjacent each opening. One of the spaced plates has perforations so that an air stream in the air space between the double walls is driven through the openings, the space between the parallel plates, and out the perforations. A food product is located to receive the air emerging from the perforations. The individual perforations have a funnel shape in order to concentrate the emerging air and better paint the surface of the food product.

  • Patent number: 6244290
Abstract: A containment bag for installation over a fluid control valve is provided. The valve containment bag is configured to contain leaks emanating from fluid control valves connected in line between an associated first inlet pipe and a second outlet pipe. The inlet pipe and the valve form a first junction and the outlet pipe form a second junction which are to be housed, along with the valve itself, within said bag so that fluid leaking from the junctions leaks into the containment bag. The containment bag is formed of an impermeable fabric which encloses an internal volume sufficient to accommodate the control valve and the associated junctions. The impermeable fabric defines first and second openings between the internal volume and the external environment, the first opening has a diameter substantially equal to the outer diameter of the inlet pipe, and the second opening has a diameter substantially equal to an outer diameter of the outlet pipe.

  • Patent number: 6243062
Abstract: A system and method for driving a thin film diode (TFD) inclusive AMLCD or imaging device (e.g. x-ray imager) includes providing each pixel with a pair of select lines and a single data line. Drive schemes are provided which increase the circuits tolerance for spacial and temporal variations in diode (e.g. MIM diode) characteristics, improve response time, increase the circuit's tolerance for RC delays on data lines, and reduces the potential for crosstalk or image retention. In certain embodiments, where each pixel includes a pair of select lines, and a single data line, the select voltage on the first select line alternates between VS+Voffset and VS−Voffset for subsequent frames, while the select voltage on the other select line alternates between −VS+Voffset and −VS−Voffset for subsequent frames, thereby allowing voltage at the common node to be added to the data voltage.

  • Patent number: 6243363
Abstract: The invention concerns a directional method for a server for cells transmitted by a module attached to a local mobile area network as well as a network of this type for implementing said method. The directional method applies to a network which is comprised of a plurality of concentration stages and terminals linked to the low-level concentration stages, said network comprising servers respectively linked to concentration stages. This method is characterized therein that it consists of initially establishing permanent virtual channels in direction of the servers and, when a mobile is connected to two terminals of said network, said two terminals ascertain the closest common server and modify the header of the user cells transmitted by said mobile in such a way that they carry the identifier VPI/VCI of the channel established for said server so as to enable it to be processed there. The present invention also concerns a network provided for implementing said method.

  • Patent number: 6241539
Abstract: In order to drive connectors relatively to mating connectors in a housing for connection and disconnection of the connectors with the mating connectors, the connectors have projections thereon which projects outside of the housing when received in the housing, and a slider is slidably mounted on the housing and having a groove with a cam portion for receiving the projection. When the slider is pulled or pushed, the projection is driven by the cam portion of the groove to drive the connectors. Partitions are mounted in the housing to partition an inner space of the housing into a plurality of rooms for accommodating the connectors so as to separate between adjacent connectors by the partition. Each of the partition has engaging projections engaged with engaging holes formed in the housing wall. One of the engaging holes is registry with the groove of the slider so that the corresponding one of the engaging projection is also received in the groove at the projecting end through the engaging hole.

  • Patent number: 6236106
Abstract: A wiring structure for a semiconductor device comprises a first interlayer insulating film formed on a semiconductor substrate, first level wiring conductors formed on the first interlayer insulating film, a second interlayer insulating film formed to cover the first level wiring conductors and including a SOG film, and a second level wiring conductors formed on the second interlayer insulating film. A first level wiring conductor which is formed in a peripheral zone of a semiconductor chip and which has to have a wide line width, is divided into a plurality of divided wiring conductors having a narrow line width. Alternatively, the first interlayer insulating film in the peripheral zone of the semiconductor chip is etched by a predetermined thickness so that the first level wiring conductor located in the peripheral zone of the semiconductor chip is formed at a level lower than the first interlayer insulating film located in an inside of the semiconductor chip.

  • Patent number: 6234284
Abstract: A disc brake assembly is disclosed of the kind in which a friction pad (3) is applied to one face of a rotatable disc, in which the friction pad is provided with one or more protrusions (8, 9) which project from the leading radial edge in a circumferential direction, the radial thickness (r1) of the projection being small relative to the total radial thickness (R) of the pad, the arrangement being such that in the event of tilting of the pad assembly with respect to the disc, where the brake is in the off position, contact between the protrusion and the disc prevents contact between the rest of the pad and the disc. Preferably, one protrusion is provided at each corner of the pad. This helps to reduce wear of the disc producing judder vibration during braking by reducing disc thickness variation.
